It was great to be close to the event I went for but also to be able to be away from the hustle and bustle of the city with greenery and outdoor garden. The host was very kind and we also had plenty of washing up soap, dishwasher tablets, t-towel, towels and kitchen wear.

There are beautiful beaches and places to visit, however, it is complicated without a car. The local buses timetable is confusing and the information in internet is misleading. There is no way to know when to take a bus at any bus stop to the town of A Coruña or to the north area of Oleiros.

Santa Cruz is a small, quiet cove with views of the city/port - A Coruna in North West Spain. The staff in the few local restaurants were very helpful and the prices of meals/drinks very reasonable. The local community members were well behaved and we were pleased to see families enjoying their Sundays together. We enjoyed the local school of music demonstrating their talents. The coastal walk was excellent. We are a senior couple not looking for evening entertainment, however we are sure that a bus ride into the City (A Coruna) would provide more night life.
