Breakfast was wonderful with OJ, coffee, fresh bread, numerous jams, poundcake, and yogurt with granola. Our stay was just 2 days as we traveled the French Alps, but Savoie did not disappoint. The scenery, food, and wine were as good as the reputation that proceeded it. A du S made that part of our journey that much more special.

They accommodated breakfast for our very early departure and provided us a ride to the bus station. They also did a load of laundry for us. We highly recommend this place for hikers on the Tour du Mont Blanc who cannot get a reservation at the Auberge de la Nova. Just try and arrange a ride with the hosts from the bus station when you arrive in town because it’s a 1.5 mile uphill hike.

We were able to arrive and depart by train, with easy connectivity around the valley by bus and a daily shuttle up to the ski lifts (we visited in February). Several small shops and restaurants within a few minutes walk. Kerry and Serge took good care of us, it was wonderful to spend a week in their corner of the world!
