Lovely atmosphere. The promenade was great to walk along, especially in the evening. Family friendly with lots of restaurants, bars and opportunities to book boat trips to other parts of the coast. Also close by to other attractions.

The views, the beach, the food! Taking a walk at the city center at night was fun. Lots of nice restaurants and street food! I’d recommend getting a taxi or driver take you around or rent a car for yourself. I had the best sea food here. The sunset at the castle on the mountain is the absolute best. Sarandë has a beautiful view of the Ionian Sea, and there are lots of fun things to do in the city; shop, eat, drink. But it is a crowded city, driving is crazy, parking is even crazier, and unfortunately for Albania, there is trash everywhere. (Trash is a nation wide problem in Albania, not just in Sarandë)

Sarande is a hidden gem.
Sarande is a hidden gem. This was my second time returning and I can’t wait to go a third time. I went at the perfect time of year and it was not too crowded. Had the cabanas and sunbeds to ourselves. Had a lovely dinner at a local fish restaurant, sorry can’t remember the name. We had a driver and our own transport from Tirana which made the trip a lot easier getting around to nearby Ksamil. I am still discovering Albania so I have fallen a little more on each visit. I will make sure to bring more swim wear to change into for my pictures☺️. We visited the Blue Eye just outside Sarande- I highly recommend that you visit.

Our room had a huge balcony, overlooking the Saranda bay, with the magical sunset. The hotel also has one of the best rooftop bars, where you can enjoy great cocktails with a sea view. Breakfast was great, rooms clean and cozy. Special thanks to the manager and hotel owner, as well as the Illyrian hotel team, who made my stay fantastic! Hope to see you all very soon!

It was not noisy at all for sleeping despite the night life in Saranda. The hotel itself is run by a friendly family and they are available to help at any time. It is VERY clean, they even change the towels and empty the trash can daily (we stayed 3 nights). The rooms are spacious and they all have balconies. Our first time in Saranda but pleasantly surpsrised of the city and the hotel! Recommend it highy ! Bravo !

Close to the main strip with all the bars and restaurants The guy on reception was one of the nicest & most helpful people we met in Albania Because we had an early start and were going to miss breakfast he made us cheese and ham sandwiches in the morning and also gave us a Gift box of sweets from Albania. Would definitely return if in Saranda

It is a bit of a tough drive to get there as the streets are narrow and lots of traffic. Parking can be a headache and stressful but the staff was there always ready to help. There is only a small public beach close to the hotel and you have to drive out to other beaches around Saranda. Overall we enjoyed our stay.AAnonymousAlbania
