There is a bit of roadworks going on in Albany and unfortunately one wrong turn had me doing a big loop - this looks to be quite temporary however.
There is a lot of history in Albany and so many funky little shops that I didn't get a chance to look at, I will definitely be returning to Albany.
Everything seems fairly central, but the most interesting natural wonders are just a bit out of town, which you will need a car for - The Gap and Natural Bridge, and Cozy Corner.. gorgeous little hidden beach about 20 min out of town. Camping site are also well maintained.

ALBANY is amazing.
ALBANY is amazing. We have visited numerous times over the past 20 yrs but the first cabin No 1 Rose Gardens at Emu Point was awful. We asked to be moved and for an extra fee we were offered much better accommodation which was lovely. The managers were friendly...however not happy that we thought the first cabin was dirty and run down.

art galleries, woodwork gallery, helpful tourist information office, food and coffee outlets. Visit the Vancouver Arts Centre for interesting installations as well as the historic old hospital building.
The Albany Heritage Park and National Anzac Centre are well worth visiting and revisiting - what a wealth of historical information in an engaging, interactive display! Nearby coastal highlights at Emu Point and The Gap and Natural Bridge are not to be missed. This is an area of stunning natural beauty.

Albany is beautiful especially at this time of the year.
Albany is beautiful especially at this time of the year. Loads of nice restaurants and cafes to visit. Well stocked supermarkets for some self catering. Plenty of places to visit and explore. Wilson’s brewery was our favourite place to visit. We went twice 😃Also loved seeing the chainsaw sculpture drive.
Perfect location, easy to park. The house was beautiful, very comfortable and a great place to stay in Albany with my sister and brother-in-law who were visiting us from UK for the first time. The owners ensured everything was catered for, and the contact with them was good. We had some provisions supplied by the owners, including some eggs from their chickens, which was much appreciated. Great to see that the chickens looked very happy and well-looked after, too!
The apartment is more of a townhouse and as such much larger in some ways. The location was convenient for our needs. In general the facilities were good and there was a full kitchen with all the appliances and a full laundry.
Given Albany is in winter and a major storm impacted the city and surrounds meant that beach activities were not on the agenda. However, I am sure that the local beach and services would be ideal for a summer holiday.
We love Albany and especially Middleton Beach. Dolphin Lodge is perfectly placed at Middleton Beach, a stunning long white beach with Ellen Cove tucked under the edge of Mt Clarence.
Great dining places nearby, peaceful, pleasant and relaxed.
Our apartment was lovely, comfortable and very well equipped for self sufficiency; close to eating places, mountain treks and beach walks, swimming.
1. Modern, self contained apartment, with all necessary facilities like washing machine.
2. Spa bath
3. Beautiful sunrise when waking up
4. Very quite location, I think we can do star gazing if the sky is clear, but it was cloudy when we stayed there.
5. Complimentary wine, cheese and crackers.
6. Location is between Denmark and Albany, can explore both areas.

Everything you need in a self contained cabin for a comfortable stay. Easy check in process with quick communication. Very clean rooms that stayed cosy warm during our winter stay. Beautiful relaxing surrounds and easy to get to Albany town centre and local attractions. We loved our stay and will be back!
Perfect location overlooking Albany's spectacular Princess Royal Harbour. The hotel was clean, modern and comfortable and the staff were friendly and eager to help. The buffet breakfast was excellent. Close to the city centre and attractions including the WA Museum and National Anzac Centre.
We really liked having a whole little apartment with our family situation. Plenty of privacy and also everything necessary with dishes, towels, etc.. Very nice! If we are ever in Albany again, we will definitely stay here again. Thank you!
Excellent location for visiting Albany, you can walk to the main part of town and to a lot of the tourist attractions, coffee shops and bay. Comfortable and clean with all the facilities there to make a great holiday.
