There were lots of things to do with the family.
There were lots of things to do with the family. We went to the Car Museum, which was amazing. Saw a movie and went 10-pin bowling. The bowling alley was one of those old styles, like what I grew up with as a kid.
Went to the SPC factory, make sure you have plenty of room in the boot of your car, you are going home with lots of bargains.
We were there to play in a tennis tournament but when we were not playing we found heaps to do. The local wineries such as Tabilik and Mitchelton are a great day trip if you enjoy a little tasting.
Could have stayed a few more days and done a lot more.

Shepperton is a beautiful town with plenty to see but not staying at the Home Country Inn. Good meals at the Peppermill, at Aussie, lovely lakes and the town is very interesting with quaint buildings and modern.

Shepparton is a great place to visit and has beautiful facilities including the local swimming pool to many great cafes for breakfast or dinner. You can visit SPC and buy local canned goods or go for a walk around the lake where you can enjoy beautiful walking tracks and sites. Great kids playground at the lake including a skate park for the more adventurous kids. Lots of local orchards selling fruit and produce and you can even visit the Chocolate Apple store out at Kialla. The river is close by for those that enjoy fishing, great sporting facilities and shopping. Great for a weekend visit or longer

This place has grown and changed over the years that we've been visiting. A highlight for us is the river area, with the indoor swimming pool, the gardens, the art museum and the bushland walk. There are so many options for dining in Shepparton at all times of the day - many towns seem to close down around 2pm, but we were able to get a meal at 3pm from the Portuguese grilled chicken restaurant. Give McDonalds Shepparton a big miss though - crowded, noisy, grubby. Not the fault of the staff that they are short-handed, but on the night of a massive music festival, we queued inside for almost an hour for hot drinks and basic food items. The Shepparton Arts Museum is stunning, world class collection of ceramics and indigenous art, supported by digital displays and guides on each level of the building. Great contemporary exhibitions, of relevance to all Victorians since flooding and natural disaster events. Staff here are welcoming and helpful. Information Centre in the same complex, staff are friendly and enthusiastic about their city. MOVE motor vehicle museum is exceptional, the fashion and textiles section was a big surprise, cannot speak highly enough of this place. The cafe next door is popular with locals for breakfast and we found the food delicious, the staff welcoming and efficient. The garden centre here is a hidden gem, with big gardens and mini golf at the back of the premises, there is even a lovely chocolate and confectionery shop and a shop specialising in garden pots and decor pieces. We come to Shepparton for the marathon and country week tennis, but haven't been for some years. We will be back.
We stayed there as we were playing tennis at the Shepparton Lawn Tennis Club. So the location was good Any issues we had with the property, staff responded to immediately, which was good. The kids loved the pool. People kept to the 10pm quiet rule which was nice. It suited what we were doing whilst we were there. It is also really close to a supermarket so you can easily top up on milk and bread. Showers offered lots of nice hot water,
We received a message the morning of our booking informing that due to reservations our booking has been moved to another motel. It was at the other end of Shepparton. We had booked this place because of a wedding we were attending due the bus picking up outside of the motel, but now this was no longer accessible via foot.
We were not given an option and were told with late notice at 10.30am - four hours prior to check in.
*Location is great, in a nice quiet area of Shepp. Liked the kitchen facilities.
*TV is great and the ability to connect to apps is a bonus.
*Text messages from hotel staff were informative, as we knew how to check in etc (particularly as we were arriving late).
The size was great and very happy that there was a mini kitchen. I haven’t stayed in a hotel for awhile and I think I prefer it over an Airbnb because of the housekeeping service. They came by to ask if we needed anything.
This was a last minute booking and even though the hotel was a little bit out of Shepparton we enjoyed our stay. The facilities in the room were great, staff were very helpful when we asked for more towels.
I got upgraded to an apartment which was nice, so I had a bedroom and separate living room, and kitchen. The room was nice and comfortable, and the shower was great (good water pressure unlike some hotels).
Room was nice and clean, renovated bathroom, super quiet aircon. Location is separate but part of a pub, so meals and drinks no problem. Rooms are far enough away that there is no noise issue.
This Motel is clean, comfortable, a short drive to the main shopping centre, its is now my go to Motel for the Shepparton area when I work up there. Very happy with it.
Handy to shops. good that they offer self contained apartments with 2 bathrooms and laundry facilities. Rooms were spacious. comfortable beds. felt clean.
