When i visited Yamba is was hammering down with rain which i guess is unusual. It made my short stay a bit bland as the beach was off and the town was very wet. However, i noticed two very busy restaurants, a nice little collection of shops and takeaways. a few drinking holes etc. Id say when the sun is shining it looks a 100% more appealing. Im told the surfing is great but not my thing. wortha visit if youre a surfer or just travelling up the coast. lots of waterways, pelicand, wildlife. Its just off the highway so easy access and when youre there you feel like youre in the middle of nowhere so that works! Worth a trip for 2-4 days in my opinion.

Lovely place to spend a week or more for a summer holiday. Local restaurants are varied and offer good quality food and service. Golf Club offers a championship layout and the bar and eatery ate excellent. A visit to the boutique brewery - eatery (The Wobbly Chook) is a must.PeterAustralia - 10Scored 10

Yamba is the most delightful place, I would live there if I could. Everything is so convenient. Restaurants are great, and I very rarely come home without a new pair of shoes - the shoe shop is excellent.

I only stayed overnight on my way from QLD to VIC so didn't get to see much of the town. It seemed like a nice little seaside town though and would have loved to be able to stay longer to explore it.

Breathtaking view of the ocean, prawn trawlers going out at evening dolphins playing in the waters below the unit, surfers and swimmers close by. Easy walk to hotel and town. This part of Yamba is relatively untouched by development and is quite near the main surfing beach - in fact a set of stairs will take you there in less than 5 minutes, and similarly for Convent beach. We will certainly be returning - very restful environment but plenty to do
