When i visited Yamba is was hammering down with rain which i guess is unusual. It made my short stay a bit bland as the beach was off and the town was very wet. However, i noticed two very busy restaurants, a nice little collection of shops and takeaways. a few drinking holes etc. Id say when the sun is shining it looks a 100% more appealing.
Im told the surfing is great but not my thing. wortha visit if youre a surfer or just travelling up the coast. lots of waterways, pelicand, wildlife.
Its just off the highway so easy access and when youre there you feel like youre in the middle of nowhere so that works!
Worth a trip for 2-4 days in my opinion.

Yamba is the most delightful place, I would live there if I could. Everything is so convenient. Restaurants are great, and I very rarely come home without a new pair of shoes - the shoe shop is excellent.

Yamba is lovely, beaches, fishing, golf, there is plenty to do . Be very careful where you stay , that is the key. The sands is great, be wary of the Cove, please note they are owned by the same organisation, I am just being honest.

I only stayed overnight on my way from QLD to VIC so didn't get to see much of the town. It seemed like a nice little seaside town though and would have loved to be able to stay longer to explore it.

Thank you.
Thank you. We stayed in the apartment and loved every minute. You have thought of all the little extras . Would have stayed longer but already booked. 100% we will be back. Very quick to respond, helpful and pleasant to deal with. ❤️
Well maintained, up to date unit with new fittings and furnishings. Breathtaking view of the ocean, prawn trawlers going out at evening dolphins playing in the waters below the unit, surfers and swimmers close by. Easy walk to hotel and town. This part of Yamba is relatively untouched by development and is quite near the main surfing beach - in fact a set of stairs will take you there in less than 5 minutes, and similarly for Convent beach. We will certainly be returning - very restful environment but plenty to do
They made the best use of the small space. We only stayed one night and we used everything - from the tennis court to the pool. The attention to decor and aesthetic is commendable. The place is well maintained to 110%. The rooms were perfectly clean and well laid out for our family. The staff were flexible and friendly and we felt so incredibly welcome there. I wish we had more time to spend there and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Yamba!
I had lived in Yamba for over 25 years so knew the Stellar had been a Convent retreat and Conference Centre and the rooms were small.
I just needed a quiet clean place to put my head...clean as a whistle and bed very comfy.
Was not well,so after family commitments I had to return home a day early and was given one night's credit which was unexpected.
Easy access to Yamba and the beach attractions. Just a bit out of town with lovely river access, sunrise and sunset views. Cleanliness is of a high standard, facilities are excellent, the accomodation is quite nice, and the park is well maintained. Heaps of actitives and facilities for children - and some accomodation, pet friendly, too!
Our business trip stay at the Mobydick Resort was truly exceptional. We stayed in a 3 bedroom apartment that offered the perfect blend of comfort and functionality, with spacious interior and high ceilings. The attentive staff further elevated our experience, making it a great choice for our work related travels.
Our family really enjoyed our stay at The Moby Dick.
We have a beautiful view of the river, and a little veranda to sit and watch the pelicans.
It was close to everything and was very quiet.
We would definitely come back to the Moby Dick next time we are in Yamba.
Great location in the heart of Yamba. Lovely clean and comfortable property with so many little extras you always need but don’t pack.
There’s a lot of thought that goes into making your stay pleasant. The Byron Bay cookies were delicious and very much appreciated.
great location to quickly walk downtown. Accommodations are on the simpler side, but beat our expectations. Room is a bit odd-shaped, but it was nice. Free parking. Front desk help was great and gave a couple tips on what to do in the 24 hours we were in Yamba.
The Surf Yamba was absolutely amazing! The room was well equipped and super comfy. The rooftop was a lovely space to hang out in. The hotel is just beautiful and so well done. Would definitely come back again and recommend to friends!
Wonderful location and friendly and helpful staff was an added bonus to our stay at Yamba Pacific . View from bar amazing. Restaurant area needs renovation and some fresh air access to make hotel a destination in itself
Is very family friendly. Not far from the beach and town centre.
Heat up pools was great to enjoy a swim and not be too cold.
Putt putt was fun and riding the go kart bikes around the resort was fun too.
as a solo traveler , i could not ask for a better place to stay- I’d recommend it for couples with no kids as well. It was super quiet but once outside the Cove, you are the stairs to the beach 🏝️
Wonderful friendly hosts. Great communication. Exceptionally clean. Excellent location - close to all facilities. Would definitely stay again on my next Yamba visit.
Good location in between Yamba and Angourie. Good resort for families. Had a facial at the spa and it was fantastic. Kitchen in apartment was well equiped.
