Very interesting place, with a spectacular fortress on a high cliff; impressive architecture; the Lefe beer museum is a little more commercialised than I like; the cave Grotte La merveilleuse is impressive. There are several castles and castle ruins around from different historical periods. Great place to visit! Kayaking and rock climbing is also a thing here, although it's not our cup of tea.

went for a weekend to explore, beautiful place. the one ticket that includes the cable car, tour of the citadel and then the boat trip is a bargain, next time Ill choose the 2hr boat trip instead of the 45 minutes, so relaxing. lots of resteraunts to choose from although it pays to book ahead in the evenings. the town itself is very clean and tidy, no rubbish anywhere.CLIVE FORDUnited Kingdom - 8.0Scored 8.0

We couldn’t find a corkscrew so I messaged the proprietor to ask where else it might be. He apologized and suggested asking at one of the close restaurants as “people in Dinant are very friendly”. Off I went with my wine bottle under my arm. I walked into the nearest restaurant and the maître d’ was most accommodating! Voila! We enjoyed our wine in our perfect comfortable living room.
