It is a very warm and welcoming place. The owner Susi is lovely and greeted us personally at the reception. Her husband Chris runs the attached Minuteman Pizzaria where you find the best pizza in town. Probably in the whole of Bolivia. The location is perfect just 100 meters from the bus stop and even closer to the main part of the town. Rooms are clean and nice. Would be more than happy to stay here again.

After a 3 day Salt Flats and Bolivia tour we booked this hotel last minute as we were exhausted and didn't want to catch the bus that night. The beds were so comfortable! A big thick doona (blanket), it was great having a big TV to watch and unwind.
Bathroom was great with a hot shower!
Location was a short stroll into town for dinner!
We were asked if we were married for matrimonial bed and with the language barrier I said no so were provided with two single beds haha but that was on me and probably could have swapped if we asked.
Breakfast was self serve - not a huge amount of options but there was enough!

It was good to have a luxury hotel to rest after a 3 days Uyuni salt flats tour. Good breakfast. The room is warm with strong hot water pressure. The hotel has free use steam room but the steam is weak. The jacuzzi is not operating. The restaurant offers variety of food and the dishes we ordered were well cooked.
The Reception was managed by people speak English very well (but not sure about the listening skills as we booked airport transfer to the airport but it was not recorded in the book. Luckily we checked with them the next day and they quickly organised for one so we went to the airport only 2 mins later than scheduled.

Colchani is best for upscale lodgings for visiting the Salar...
Colchani is best for upscale lodgings for visiting the Salar. The only recommended places to eat are at the hotels. But make sure you bring all you need from Uyuni before you stay at Colchani. But souvenirs and beautiful wool clothing you can get at the market in Colchani.

Hotels in Colchani are the best location if your target is to visit the Salar de Uyuni. It is right at its limit. And it has local souvenirs, wool clothing on the local market. But It has no grosery stores nor drug stores so you will depend entirely on the hotel or transportation into Uyuni to stack up. And the bus station is at Uyuni.

This little town is the entrance to the Salar.
This little town is the entrance to the Salar. We stayed at the Salt Palace for one night after our 3 day tour of the salt flats. Really nice place to stay and we were glad we stayed there at the end of our tour. The town of Colchani is small and remote and is typically where people stay at the beginning or the end of their salt flats tour.
This is a classy hotel and it's beautiful. The rooms are comfortable, the food is great; the sunsets are amazing. Javier is THE BEST guide, ever; hands-down!! He took us on our nightly sky gazing tour plus the salt flat tour. We had so much fun and he was suggesting pictures and videos; we had a blast! Anna, who works at the spa, is an amazingly talented young lady and super sweet. The spa is fabulous with a sauna, jacuzzi and you can get massages, which are FANTASTIC! The hotel is made completely of salt!!
The location was great, it only took us about 20-30mins to walk to the salt flat which you can see from anywhere in the hotel. I absolutely loved all of the little dens with the fires. Food was good with a nice selection buffet. Our driver to and from the hotel was amazing. When our train was cancelled he stayed and helped flag down a coach for us.
The whole place was amazing! Its very clean, and the buffet is really good. The staff is great, you get an amazing view, and your in the middle of the salt flat! Definitley recommending you stay a few days here. I saw vicuñas from my window a few times. At the end of the day you can enjoy the spa
This place is amazing. Very well-run. We arrived early from La Paz (9 am) and they had our room ready by 10 am! Really appreciated that (gracias). Scrumptious food and great service (wide selection of unexpectedly good Bolivian wines). The landscape around the hotel is just stunning.
The staff was super friendly and helpful! Michelle went above and beyond on several occasions, to help me! This hotel is truly beautiful and so unique, being made out of salt and with all the lovely decorations! It's got a killer view of the sunset too!
The location, the room, the spa area, the theme of the hotel and the general vibe in the hotel.
The property is a winner and we would love to come back here if they sort out a few very irritating issues.
Unique experience to spend the night in a hotel completely made of salt. The room with a view of the salar was stunning and romantic. They have bikes to rent to tour around the salar.
absolutely beautiful boutique hotel with a gorgeous view of the salt flats! i liked the attention to detail in the decor. the room was spacious and the bed was super comfortable too!
Room was small but very comfortable. No view at all, you have to pay even more for that even though the place was extremely quiet. Good location above the salt flat.
It was a terrible experience where which anything remotely nice was obliterated by all that went wrong.
I guess the pool is nice and it’s close to Uyuni.
