Linda & Hilton were wonderful hosts: friendly, helpful, and accommodating. We appreciated them offering a tour of the beaches and recommendations for rental agencies and activities. Their menagerie of animals is also fun.
Dolphin Cove is a 36-apartment hotel with four different suite types to choose from. This adult only property offers two outdoor pools. on site fine dinning restaurant and a private marina.
Freeport is very quiet and calm place. You will feel they’re like in the small village, far from the city. Many beautiful beaches where you can be totally alone. If you want to explore the island, definitely you will need to rent a car, there are not many taxi services in the city. Also be prepared, that there are not many bars or restaurants and the shops (grocery stores) are opened until 8pm during the week days

Freeport is not very interesting from a touristic point of view. It provides major opportunities for grocery shopping and dining, but lacks other shopping facilities and other sights. Freeport has been suffered from multiple hurricanes, that hurt the island very much. You can see a lot of scars everywhere.

The pine forests were partially destroyed by Hurricane Dorian, which flooded the island and the sea salt ended up drying the trees, which turns out to be an interesting phenomenon to observe. The all-inclusive hotels on the island are very good and the beaches are beautiful.

For the absolute best fishing in Freeport go with Les from Lil B’s Fishing. Very reasonably priced. Perfect for beginners or advanced. We caught a 4 ft Barracuda one day. Head to Port Lucya it needs all the love it can get. Give the ladies in the straw market some business. They have had it tough since the two hurricanes & lockdown
This hotel is amazing considering the affects of storm Dorian and the impact it has had on the island. The location is exceptional the pool the sea are just amazing. Staff were welcoming and friendly. It was very quiet with day passengers from cruise ships and it was out of season. food choices for me personally were a bit limited but as the number of people arriving increased them by offering buffet options which provided more choice. However the table service meal quality in terms of presentation and heat of food were much better.
This place is a gem. Delicious coffee and Mr. Evans's home-cooked breakfast served up hot in the beautiful, colorful front room. Mrs. Evans's rescue birds chirping and talking happily. The dog Sport quick to say hello. A clean and bright and airy room to sleep in, and a clean private bathroom. The conversation was always pleasant when offered, and privacy completely respected. The location is central to everything in Freeport, and white sand beaches await east, west, or just a very short drive south.
Omg where do I start…first the property managers were amazing they were super helpful and gave us the best recommendations for places to eat and the best beaches to go to…this was a surprise birthday trip for my girlfriend and the accommodations were impecable it was super clean and the decor refreshingly cozy…the location was absolutely beautiful and it was super quiet at night. I recommend any and everyone that visits Freeport to book this spot it will blow you away it’s the perfect retreat.
Without the staff, this hotel would be nothing! We truly felt so welcomed the second we walked In. From the lovely welcome at reception, to the restaurant staff ALL OF THEM! In every restaurant were just so happy, friendly and helpful. The bar staff ALWAYS brought the fun and smiles.
But my main fondness came from the house keeping ladies. I felt like they became my holiday mums! So kind, always fresh clean towels. Even left me a little flower on my bed. So lovely.
This was my second stay at the hotel. Last year it was very quiet due to COVID pandemic. This year there were certainly more guests. Hotel is at a great location, although I did not use the regular water taxi's to the popular beaches myself. Grounds, rooms and open spaces all very well maintained. Staff is very friendly and always ready to assist.
The staff is very friendly and service oriented. The owner manager is very good and stay in the premisses, which is important for a family run small hotel. They offer personalized servive and the restaurant offers grest fresh food.
The room was great in size and quality.
This place is Amazing. Like a hidden gem in the Grand Bahamas. All the staff treated us really nice, super friendly, very respectful. Place is clean. Their food was very delicious along with the drinks. You ll love the view to the ocean from the pool !!
Gated access makes you feel secure
Right on the beach with a pool that has loungers. Well equipped apartment with balconies from both bedrooms. Kitchen has all you need. Can't wait to book again next year. Peter is a great guy
I really like this hotel. The room was spacious, and clean. I had a lovely view of the canal/marina. The staff were friendly and polite. The manager checked in with me during my stay and answered my questions pre booking.
it was clean spacious and it was so comfortable and nice man the restaurant had great food and the lady named gabby made strawberry daiquiris and they were so good the best I had plus the staff had very good attitude
I like the fact that the facility was clean and quite. The area was safe and security was on staff at all times. The restaurant was open and functioning.
