Good location, was able to walk to restaurants and the harbour. Hosts provided a breakfast that considered our dietary concerns. Friendly staff. Room was in the newer section of B&B.

Regarding the Motel- Here’s a few things that we really liked: the Annapolis Royal Inn is located just a short drive from town, free parking, friendly staff, temperature of room- excellent, great bedding, the shower velocity (excellent), and a nice breakfast, Just a couple of things to mention that weren’t so great: two gobs of gum on the floor by the bedside table and a broken toilet handle. Gave me a feeling of “sub standard”. But these things are hopefully addressed because everything else was good.
Now the town: we keep going back and love this place. It is beautiful, historic, so friendly. Go visit the exceptional staff at ARCH&PO. It is our new favourite. The staff are so friendly. Every food item - EXCELLENT! What an absolute jewel. The Saturday market is just lovely. The river never disappoints. The drive to Victoria Beach is beautiful through Granville Ferry. However our one huge disappointment was the restaurant Called “Crow’s Nest”. The worst fish and chips ever. The fries were over-cooked and the fish was unbelievable. Supposed to be 2-pieces. The fish was the thinnest, unbattered, fishiest, unpalatable fish I have ever experienced. Disgusting. We were looking forward to this place. But - we will never go back.

If you have been to Niagara-On-The-Lake, Ontario, I can tell you this town reminded me of that town very much. Very old, charmingly beautiful and well-preserved. A gem, with walking trails and a charming downtown. We tried to find a gluten-free restaurant for dinner, but being Sunday, our choices went down to zero. We drove a half hour to Digby to dine at the Fundy Restaurant which we knew to have an extensive gluten-free menu, and a great view of the harbour.
If you are looking for a restaurant in Annapolis Royal, be sure to make reservations in advance. The historic, old hotels are also highly in demand, so you need to make reservations well in advance.

A small, lovely historic town full of gorgeous, old homes.
A small, lovely historic town full of gorgeous, old homes. Founded in 1604, it is the first permanent European settlement in North America north of St. Augustine, Florida. It's located on the Annapolis River, which flows in from the Bay of Fundy, so it has some impressive tides. For its size, there are quite a few attractions, including historic gardens and Fort Anne, a 17th-century fortress.

We had such a wonderful experience at the Lark & Loon! It felt like a home away from home, very cozy common areas filled with rich history of the area. We stayed in the Granville room which was perfect, had a very comfortable bed and a large ensuite. Breakfast was also delicious and the hosts Kevin & Lesley were so welcoming and gave us tons of good recommendations.
If you’re planning a trip to Annapolis Royal, we can’t recommend the Lark & Loon enough for a quintessential B&B experience.
This is a beautiful establishment across from Fort Anne and a short walk to the main streat. The owners/operators are incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to ensure our every need was met. The food was incredible, the bed was extremely comfortable and everything was incredibly clean. Please note that this hotel may not be appropriate for people with mobility issues as we were on the third floor up several sets of stairs. I highly recommend staying at the Garrison Inn.
The Bailey House was beautiful. A older house with lots of character. It is perfectly located near restaurants, shops, and the local market. Walking distance to everything. The host was fantastic. She told us about the events happening around town during our stay and offered to book us dinner reservations. The bed was very comfortable and the room had everything we needed. Breakfast was outstanding! We couldn’t be happier with our stay!
This property is absolutely beautiful very clean and the furnishings in the room were beautiful. The host Marie was very welcoming and gave us great tips on where to eat and places to see,she is a gem. We would highly recommend The Lark and Loon to anyone heading to Annapolis Royal and hopefully we will return next year also. Thank you Marie for a great stay and the food was absolutely wonderful. All around amazing experience, it could not have been better! I only wish I had planned to stay longer. 100% plan on returning myself and would recommend to anyone travelling to Annapolis Royal. Everything from the welcome to the rooms, the helpful restaurant suggestions and fun engaging conversation, great nights sleep and amazing breakfast were perfect.
Room and ensuite were comfortable, clean and though not spacious, just fine for a couple of nights. Breakfast was delicious and we spent some time in the common rooms relaxing. Great location, with easy access to Annapolis Royal by foot. Whole house nicely decorated with lots of interesting things to peruse. I would stay here again.
The Coach House, our accommodation, during our stay at the Bailey House was very clean, had all the creature comforts;absolutely fabulous place. Suzan's breakfasts were an event...delicious,innovative,thoughtful touches.A great location from which to explore the beautiful Annapolis Valley.Highly recommend.
Queen Anne Inn is a beautiful house, elegantly furnished, and really comfortable. It’s a short and interesting walk into town and to Fort Anne. Laszlo, and his wonderful chef wife - the hosts - are friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Breakfast was delicious. Highly recommend.
This is a perfect bed and breakfast: stunningly beautiful, super clean, in a wonderful location, amazing food, so many details considered! We also loved visiting with the Innkeeper!! We couldn't recommend Bailey House enough!!

We were fortunate enough to have breakfast and dinner in the exceptional restaurant. Outstanding food and service. Scallops were the best I’ve ever had.
