We stayed in Courtenay to try to go skiing, but unfortunately, this winter has almost no snow, but that's ok, it was our first time in town and it was nice, we had great food at Local and The Hen and Hog Cafe, I definitely recommend those two places.

With a stroll through the river area I again appreciated all the hard work of citizens determined to prevent flooding and also warning about personal safety near the water and on the bridge. The variety of shops is interesting. This trip we walked the river trail to the viewpoint to appreciate the Courtenay River joining the ocean. There are plenty of coffee shops, a brewery and bakery and great ethnic preferences for dinner dining. I always enjoy our visits.

The area is billed Courtney/ Comox and it was the comox area that was most inviting. Scenery, restaurants etc. Locals Restaurant was probably one of the best restaurants and value we’ve been to in a long time.

An older lady travelling alone on behalf of a non-profit, I needed safe but inexpensive accommodation. I was impressed with the quality of the renovations of the room; good quality vinyl "wood" flooring, beadboard and chair rail to add some flair to a simple room, excellent, modern bath fixtures with good lighting and shelving. Many five star hotels I have been in could learn on how to equip a room for a guest's use from these owners!

I arrived at the hotel after midnight Very weary from traveling all day The customer service was excellent I was helped by the night clerk in getting my bags to my room The room was very clean and comfortable It is an older hotel but so clean and in excellent condition! I will book by calling directly next time The last hotel I had booked in Winnipeg through this site was disgusting and unsafe.

Clean. No funky odours. Modern. Well appointed room. Looks better on the inside tan the outside. The thing I liked the most was finding a small tube of sanitizer, along with sanitizer wipes, on the dresser. Very, very thoughtful as most people I know, like myself, wipe their hotel rooms down with sanitizer as soon as they get in the room. Kudos and thank you!

No complications with arrangements/booking, . . . everything was very straightforward. Location was very central, and easy to find. Hosts were very timely and on top of things. Suite was very tidy/clean, beds and bedding were better quality than usual; suite was quiet; our stay was much better than we’d normally experience in a motel or hotel.

Reception check in was easy. Ditto for the check out process. Our room had excellent air circulation and was spitspot clean. A Housekeeping staff member went out of her way to help us to our room with the luggage cart and also returned it to the front for us. It's these little kindnesses that stand out and beckon us to stay at this hotel again.

It was decently clean for how sketchy the property was. You could tell there were a lot of interesting people Staying at this hotel. However, I know what I paid for so overall it wasn’t bad. If you are looking for “luxury” this hotel is not it.

Updated, clean and great place to stay in Central Courtenay. Bed is firm, but comfy. Like many older motels, the sound of noisy guests was an issue. I’m’m sure mgmt was prepared to address it if I’d brought it to their attention.
