The location was great. The staff was wonderful. Breakfast was good but could have been hotter for my likes. The coffee was excellent. The coffee machine in the lobby was great. Wish all BW had that.

Mike at the front desk was phenomenal, very friendly and welcoming, called me by first name and shook my hand, also had a welcome gift for the dog. Next time I’m in Fernie will be staying here.

The room was very comfortable. Breakfast was so so altho, the breakfast manager was very helpful. Breakfast room was insufficient for the crowd and people had to wait for a table.

It's a very picturesque town mainly focused at the footsteps of mountains for winter activity and hiking in summer. We were here during early spring and the pathways can be a bit muddy as you hike higher. Nonetheless, would love to be here again.
We did the fairy Creek falls hike and visited Mt. Fernie Provincial Park. Lots to do here if you are a nature lover. The drive is beautiful with a small downtown full of eateries and shopping places. Also has variety of dine in options including a steak place just on the main road. It has almost everything that you can ask for in a small town.

Fernie has made a successful transition from a mining town to a destination outdoor recreation center (biking, skiing, climbing, fishing, etc.). Its historic main street has a good variety of small, locally owned businesses with good food and drink, sports shops, and general retail. The people are friendly and very helpful.

We loved the whole experience.
We loved the whole experience. The skiing, of course, is always fantastic, but so was Griz Days (the whole town gets involved). We also attended a sold out Ghostriders playoff game that was really electric and enjoyed some of Fernie's food/restaurant offerings that really compete with the calibre you'd get in any large city.

Fernie has great and plenty of accommodations but with many many construction workers and it being summer I would highly recommend booking far in advance of your stay. The Hostel is rough and the basic of amenities in the room. Take your own towels. Sounds outrageous but we weren't offered towels, what services were available, or offered anything other than the room at check in. I have stayed in hostels that were quite comfortable but I would never recommend the Raging Elk to anyone. There were no rooms available except this place . We had business in Fernie otherwise we would have carried on to Cranbrook.

Fernie is a great little town.
Fernie is a great little town. I liked the shops as they were unique and offered different options. Also liked buying items that were made locally. The mountain view was amazing, loved how the mountains surrounded the town. The bagel shop food was great. I loved the chocolate shop as the chocolate was made locally which is why I made a purchase there. Some of the clothing in stores were very pricey, seemed to be good quality though. Very friendly service experience everywhere I shopped.
Property was awesome for a family! More space than a hotel (our kids didn’t have to share a bed) as well as having a kitchen to eat breakfast and lunch in, a living room to relax in and a 2nd bathroom. The property was very homey. Had 2 TVs with cable and Netflix etc as well as games, books, puzzles etc. Was WAY better than staying in a hotel with a family.
The room was nice enough; the balcony was right on top of the parking lot, but still offered the view that was promised. Great sushi across the street. Bed was very very very comfortable. The breakfast at the hotel was really delicious with lots of variety in their a la carte options. Had the eggs bennie. Fantastic. Our server was lovely as well.
I like the stuff. Lady gave as a better room and was super helpful. Room is so clean and stylish and view from the bed on the mountains... felt very comfortable and clean.
But when I found out a free laundry facilities and a free detergent it made my day with a baby. Totally in love with this hotel, probably newest in all Fernie
Location is great between town and the ski resort. Quick and easy access to shops, restaurants, etc. Spa was very nice. Rooms are spacious and well appointed. You have the option to cook your own food in a shared/common kitchen. Commitment to sustainability and net carbon zero was a big draw.
The room was very comfortable with the bed and sofa. It was also great to have free parking, laundry and hot tub as well as coffee making facilities and a fridge. The hotel is set-up for bikers with a bike wash station and rentals.
Hotel is comfortable and conveniently located passing through Fernie, but is getting a bit dated. Big pool in the atrium is a nice feature, especially when travelling with kids.
on my past stays here I have liked that the hotel was a bit minimalist with a DIY guest services approach.. common kitchen, laundry machines, and a quite good hot tub.
