We spent an exceptionally beautiful time at Levit Glamping and recommend staying here 100%! From the very first second we were just amazed by the beauty of this place. The location is spectacular: Directly by the lake and super calm and private with no other buildings around - only stunning nature. Because of the silence you’re able to hear (and watch) all the birds and completely relax. The place itself is super cute and you can feel the love they put into it. All the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive - the whole time we felt welcomed and well cared for in a very genuine way. During movie night they even surprised us with popcorn which was adorable. The bathroom was clean and modern plus the shower had a very good water pressure. Another big plus were the three adorable dogs which made us feel super safe at night. :) The place also offers activities like educational walks through the forest and you can use their kayaks anytime during the day, which we sadly didn’t have any time for since we only stayed one night. Next time we’re gonna try and come back for longer. Definitely stay here if you want to be able to enjoy a beautiful, relaxing time away from everything!

Wonderfully idyllic location right by the lake, a beautiful spot for an early morning swim. The finca is Dennis and Martha's home which they share with their guests. We had the family suite which meant we had access to two conjoint bedrooms which was plenty of space for our family of four. Meals are provided and cooked on request and the BBQ chicken the hosts grilled for us was lovely, as were the pancakes for breakfast. They couldn't have been more accommodating and helpful. Our hired car broke down and Martha spent ages on the phone organising a replacement for us. Both our kids had the best time at the Lake B&B and overall it was one of our best stays in Colombia.

I definitelywould recommend staying at least overnight to be able to enjoy Guatape. The day trip just doesn't cover it. Plus a bonus is being able to walk around in the morning when nobody is around!

We absolutely enjoyed our stay in the cute little town of Guatape. We climbed up the Piedra del penol rock and the views are mind-blowing. We also enjoyed our stay at La Pausa hotel with stellar lakefront views. Loved Guatape:)

I spent 3 nights in Guatapé. Lovely town.
I spent 3 nights in Guatapé. Lovely town. Such a relaxed vibe. I think it’s a shame to just come on a day trip to take of few photos of colourful buildings. It’s a nice place to stroll the streets, especially in the evening, with many great restaurant options. I could have stayed longer. There are plenty of things to do like go on a boat tour, or climb la piedra. Walk throughout the streets and shop or chat with the friendly locals. Or just relax with a coffee and a treat at the many cafe’s, or a beer at one of the pubs. If you are not in a rush to cram everything into a day, I’d recommend staying at least a night.

What a colorful town.
What a colorful town. I read so many people do just a day trip but I’m so glad we spent the night. I wish we would’ve spent 2 nights. You have to climb the piedra but also give yourself enough time in the town itself. We did a boat ride but I wish we would’ve had more time to do other water activities as it’s just so pretty.

Gutape is cool, not polluted and so safe that people leave doors open. I wasn't given a pavilion key and the door could easily be opened if the nearby window was open. There are two main towns, El Penol and Guatape. El Penol is larger and more everyday paced; Guatape has restaurants by the dozens to cater to the tourists from Medellin, Colombia, and, increasingly, from another continent. The altitude is such that it is between 62 and 78 F. year round; however, global warming seems to have raised the maximal temperature to 80F. or a bit more. The "lake" is beautiful, steep promontories along a winding "coastline", dotted with secondary homes of wealthy Colombians for the most part. Last notice is that the place is above 1800 meters and I had altitude sickness, which would have dissipated over a few days. The only tourist landmark is a giant black rock that Colombians seem to find attractive and they can climb to the top. I found it a dark, mass that ruined the overall scenery. To each his own.

Busy but charming town. Lovely waterfront.
Busy but charming town. Lovely waterfront. Makes every effort to entice you to buy beautiful things you don’t need. These are well-made crafts. Charming houses. A bit noisy with most cafes playing loud music, although I found one playing delightful piano jazz and I lingered there. A few hours in town was enough for me, though, and I was glad I stayed a few km away.
If you are exploring Colombia, the town of Guatape should be on your list. This property was directly below the famous landmark El Penon de Guatape and the restaurant on site provided amazing scenic views while you eat the included breakfast (which was great). The room was very nice and met expectations. Of particular note was the staff was extremely friendly and responsive. Our itinerary had us arriving after midnight and they made every accommodation to allow us to check in without any issue. Tremendous value; highly recommended.
The hotel met our expectations. The view was phenomenal ! Both the view from the room and the breakfast area were outstanding. The host/owner and his wife were very attentive to us. His staff prepared delicious breakfasts. It was quiet and we really felt "away" from it all. The room and bathroom were comfortable, Jacuzzi was delightful. We were even able to Kayak with the kids at no extra cost ! I highly recommend this hotel for a genuine Guatape experience. We will be back !
One of the best hotels in the pueble of Guatape. The views from the room are great. We had the room with a jacuzzi. The two of us were able to fit comfortably in the jacuzzi with no problem. The pool was at a perfect temperature. The out door jacuzzi is huge! You can easily swim in it. The best part was that it was not so hot that you could only be in it for a short while.
The staff were very attentive and replied to our requests very fast.
El Zócalo is a lovely place, very close to all the attractions of Guatape. And most importantly, it has the loveliest hosts. Martha and her husband were very kind, always helpful and willing to make my stay comfortable. Everything was clean, the room is spacious and the house all in all is beautiful. Would recommend to anybody who wants to experience Antioquian hospitality!
We chose this hotel to take a break from big city trips and to visit nearby Guatapé. This was the best stay of our entire trip in Colombia. The place is gorgeous with an amazing staff, and the food is exceptional. Enjoy the restaurant and room service as much as you can; the food is on another level. The whole experience was fantastic!
The hotel is right in the centre of town and easy to explore Guatapé from. The only problem I had was during check-in, nobody spoke English and at first they did not want to take my card. Then another staff helped me through the phone and all was good. Very good value for money overall.
One of the best apartments I was staying at during my 4 months in Latin America. Really good cost-benefit-ratio, you have your own apartment for not much money and Guatapé is beautiful! I personally really liked the view of the football pitch from that apartment.
I stayed in Bethel Lozana in my latest trip to Colombia. I had been to Guatape before but had never been to this part of the lake. I much preferred the area wehre the hotel is lcoated, alot more quiet and layed back. I would defenitivley come here again!
We really liked the vibe, the workers, our room, the view and above all this, the quiet that brings peace to our souls. We needed it. Thank you for this. We found our Zen Place in Guatape❤️ Till next cause there will be more visits.
Easy check-in wiht the frinendly staff, clean and confortable place to stay. It is located a bit far from the Guatape center but with that you avoid the external noises. To get to the center a small walk it is enough to get there.
Great duplex. We stayed there for a few days, we are traveling with our toddler so we needed a place to spend enough time in Guatape. This was the best choice for our little family. We felt right at home. We hope to come back!
We enjoyed our stay in Guatape. The apartment is convenient, even though it is not in the city. With two rooms, we had a comfortable stay, allowing us to split the resting area.
Great place to stay in Guatapé. Only a short walk from the square. Beautiful views from the property with a nice outdoor space. Owner and cleaning staff really friendly
The hotel is basic nothing luxurious but the location, cleanliness of the room and the friendly host, Berta, was extremely nice. I would recommend this hotel anytime.
