Laura and Servilia are literally the best hosts we’ve ever met! Laura had an answer to any question we would come up with and her recommendations for beaches, restaurants, daytrips and everything were really out of the ordinary. Clean and nicely decorated rooms with perfect AC, hammocks spread out through the hotel, trees and balconies with the best view of the Taganga bay. Far enough from the crowds to be silent at night and to get a beautiful view, but still only a couple of minutes walk down to the beach.
Set in Taganga, 600 metres from Playa de Taganga, Casa Luna Hotel offers accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a shared lounge.

From the moment we stepped into the serene ambiance of Ambos Mundos Hotel Boutique in Taganga, Santa Marta, it was clear why this charming retreat boasts top ratings. The hotel exudes a warm and tranquil atmosphere that makes it a perfect getaway spot.
Estefano, a remarkably attentive host, along with his colleague Andrea, brought their extensive global travel experience to the forefront, ensuring every guest feels valued and pampered. Their philosophy of treating guests as they would like to be treated themselves truly resonates throughout the service they provide. Estefano prepared some of the best drinks at the bar, which became a delightful highlight of our evenings.
Andrea, both outstanding and wonderful, stood out not only for her intelligence and attentiveness but also for her warmth and passion for her work. This dynamic duo, blending Italian charm with Colombian hospitality, elevates the guest experience to new heights.
The staff, including the lovely and attentive Jennifer, consistently went above and beyond. For instance, knowing we had an early tour departure, they thoughtfully prepared a takeaway breakfast the night before, ensuring we wouldn't miss out on a meal.
The hotel didn't just impress with its service but also with its aesthetics. The room decor was magnificent, combining style and comfort effortlessly. The bar area was incredibly cozy, making it a perfect spot to unwind after a day of exploring.
Moreover, the hotel accommodated special requests with food and provided laundry services, which added convenience to our stay. They also recommended places to visit and helped guide us on prices, which enhanced our local experience.
Ambos Mundos Hotel Boutique not only lived up to its reputation but surpassed our expectations, making our stay in Taganga unforgettable. Whether you're seeking relaxation or adventure, this hotel promises an experience tailored to your desires with a personal touch that is hard to find elsewhere.

What a pleasure to finally see a big bed!! (180cm)
The rooms are great, a lot of place and a wardrobe to put our stuff. I also enjoyed to separate bathroom and the family that were very nice. You can eat also there for lunch and diner and it’s very tasty (a fish for 30k).

Beach area and main street along the lagoon trashy but looks beautiful from afar. Two restaurants nice, clean and relaxing others I would not consider. No shops to poke your head into that look inviting. 1 day as a pass through would be enough time but not as a destination. I stayed at Techos Azules overlooking lagoon area and a short walk to the beach/lagoon area which is ideal. If you stay in hostels I would not book the one (white building) located on the beachfront.

I loved the view from the window, the apartment was gorgeous and clean. It had a breakfast bar, a fridge, excellent wifi. It was perfect for working and during the day I could walk to the beach and have lunch. The owner Jackie is wonderful and sweet. Anything that you need she helps with and even provided fresh coffee in the morning. Thanks for an amazing stay! The mountains and sunsets are beautiful!

I thought that staying out of Santa Marta would be quieter but not so. There isn't a whole lot to do in Taganga. To get to Tayrona you have to go back to Santa Marta anyway, unless you get the boat from Taganga. A few days was enough. Babaganoush is a lovely restaurant - I only knew of it because a friend had told me.

This place was too jarring for me.
This place was too jarring for me. If you want to party and pay extra for everything, this is the place to go. It has obviously been jaded by tourism.
There are so many other beautiful places in Colombia to visit. I stayed here one night and then moved on to Santa Marta. It worth it.

The weekends ( and probably public holidays) are noisy and the weekdays quiet.
The resort has an edgy reputation but we found it fine during the day and early evening.
There are some good places to eat.
Seriously one of the best places we have stayed on our 6 month long trip. The facilites are amazing: clean pool, nice rooftop, many cozy corners with hammocks, food on site and comfortable rooms. The location is also great! Supermarket and beach just 10km away - and still far enough to not hear the music from local parties. The staff is wonderful and can help you with anything. Highly recommend this place if you want to relax - we spent most our time at the hostel than exploring taganga 😅
Carlos at front desk was excellent and helpful. Other staff, less so. Hotel full of rules. They inspect the room prior to leaving like the gestapo. They protect towels as if it was gold. Restaurant staff moody and unfriendly. Hotel has many comfort issues. Flimsy windows allows noise in all night. Taganga is a party town and it is loud all the time. Unpleasant, when the noisy is constantly in room. Bathrooms are run down. Jacuzzi is colder than the pool. Not a good value.
Nice calm hostel near the center and the beach with beautiful sunsets, loved it here! Cheapest room we stayed in in whole Colombia (30.000 pesos /night for a private double room with bathroom)! However they have different price classes: if you want to have more comfort, pay a bit more. There is a lovely ginger kitten hanging around, we loved him!
It's was clean and comfortable. Andreas is very nice host and I felt the house was secure always. The hotel has lots of bushes and flowers which makes it stand out and comfortable to stay at. Also, I was able to park my motorcycle there which is a big bonus in Taganga.
There were very friendly staff working there, who explained everything we could do whilst staying in Taganga. The hostel was very pretty and clean (it looked much nicer in real life than the pictures), and was very good for the price. Would highly recommend.
Well located, friendly and helpful staff. Loved the scuba class offered by the personnel running the place! Unforgettable experience! The pool is so refreshing in the Taganga heat as well! Well worth it.
Very strategically located, right in the middle of the action of Taganga beach but tucked away from the noise. The mattress was incredibly soft and comfortable. The fans and wifi were strong 👍
Jackie the host is super friendly, showed me around Taganga and helped finding tour information and many other things. The rooms are clean and the building is beautiful, a very good stay here
Fine location, next to the Taganga centre, beyond the noisy areas. Comfort rooms, pools, bar, relaxing areas.
Well breakfast (fruit, juice, coffee, eggs, arepa/bread...)
Single beds in dorm and spacious room. Big bathroom. Full body mirror. Friendly staff. Great views over Taganga. Short walk to the beach (use the stairs)
The hostel is nice with a large common area including the pool and hammocks. The room was comfortable and the bathrooms are new with ecofriendly toilets
