Staff at reception was lovely on arrival, although at check out time different people were present and didn’t seem that nice unfortunately. Asked for late check out and were told they fully booked. Although there was still availability on booking. Breakfast staff bit grumpy too. But in general nice and clean place, lovely bar staff, close to airport and shopping center

Great location for exploring the old town. Staff were fantastic. Took time to chat about Tallinn, Estonia and the wider region which was really interesting. More generally the staff seemed to really care about whether you had what you needed. Very comfortable room. Secure parking. This was important to me as I was touring on my motorbike. Great breakfast too.

Wander along the narrow cobbled streets of the medieval city of Tallinn and marvel at the fashion forward culture existing comfortably alongside tradition.
14th century church spires wind their way into the sky on top of the Toompea hill which rises in the centre of town. Outside the city walls modernity reveals itself through soviet-style concrete buildings and contemporary glass skyscrapers.
A multitude of shopping opportunities are available especially along Viru Street, with several rising Estonian designer boutiques side by side with traditional crafts of woven fabrics, pottery and glass blowing. The café culture abounds and visitors can soak up the friendly atmosphere between purchases. Restaurants on the colourful Raekoja Plats offer a chance to try traditional Estonian fare.
Situated on the Gulf of Finland, a popular day trip is by boat to Helsinki. With a location so close to the water, the sandy beaches are a popular summer destination for locals and visitors alike. In the winter the beauty of buildings such as the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral is hard to beat.

Wonderful inexpensive opera at the opera house. 40 euros for front row seats! The old town offers lots of places to explore. However, the cobblestoned streets require some extra attention when walking. Many restaurants including a number of delicious Georgian restaurants scattered throughout the town. The time to avoid Tallin itself is when a cruise ship arrives for the day. The town changes dramatically.

Lovely compact medieval Old Town with range of interesting churches to visit. Very photogenic. Plenty of restaurant options from local Estonian cuisine to Russian, Ukrainian, Georgian, Malaysian, Italian and generic European. Lots of non-chain bars and cafes. Not too busy in late April when I visited.

I'm on a “tour” of Eastern and Northern Europe at the moment and have to say that Tallinn stands out very positively. A city with a lot of history, exciting culture, an incredible amount of fascinating things to see, and lots of good food.
Places i'd recommend to check out:
Old Town
Tallinn Town Hall
Tompea Hill
Tallinna Raekoja Plats
Aleksander Nevski Katedraali
Viru Gate
St. Olaf Church
Kohtuotsa
Kiek in de Kok
Balti Jaam Market
Kadriorg Park
Tallinna Teletorn
And if you like football, try catching a match. Was able to see FC Flora vs FCI Levadia, and the players came over spoke to the fans, and got a photo with the players. Really cool experience.

City is beautiful, roads and all the city areas looks renovated and overall looks good. I especially liked museums. The old town and walls with towers were really interesting to see. We had no problem communicating with locals, in shops and in restaurants using English and Russian languages. Transportation in city is great too, you can go on bus, tram, trolleybus.
The only downside I see is a bit steep prices at restaurants. for example in Tallinn center (several places) for two people you will pay around 60 Eur (1 side dish, 2 main dishes and 2 drinks). Comparing to Lithuania capital Vilnius or Latvia capital Riga you will pay 1,5x-2x times less in there.

Everything in Old Town is a cultural delight and easy to...
Everything in Old Town is a cultural delight and easy to explore on foot. Full of wonderful restaurants, cafes, bars, quality shops, handcrafts and souvenir stores. Rest of Tallinn easy to get around with buses and trams; ( always on time! ) very ecconomic with pre-purchased card; directions and routes well signed and with maps at stops. Tram service from Old Town direct to Airport;
Large selection of hotels, all clean with varied amenities and room rates in Old Town.
Cobblestone and stone pavements best to walk with low shoes; cars are limited from access in Old Town, but taxis will get you close, or right to all hidden places. Lots of tourists year-round and more in summer. Check for numerous free offerings of concerts in cathederals, open air music and varied events in summer; English spoken almost everywhere. Safe city at night. Colorful, vibrant, historic, well renovated and preserved city to explore with many parks and public seating for the weary. Have coins available for toilets inside public areas other than eateries.
Roomy apartment with separate bedroom, small kitchen area, and large futon to accommodate more guests.
Self service key entry makes it easy to arrive anytime and staff was helpful very easy to contact thru Booking Messenger emails.
The building is nicely located between the airport and main tourist areas and right on major bus routes.
Excellent price considering the size and location of the apartment and the building has significant historic interest as a home to past prominent Estonian composers.
Excellent location, the best location in Tallinn, in my opinion. Super comfortable bed, pillows and bedding. Nice shower, spacious bathroom. The hotel is very beautiful, really nice design. The self check in is quick and easy. The staff is super kind and effective if you have questions or need help. The luggage room is so helpful, made our trip way more practical. Being a pet friendly hotel was decisive for our choice.
Charming In Old Town, the Hestia Baron’s reminds me of a mini version of the “grand Budapest Hotel” featuring the vintage woodwork, winding staircase to the breakfast room, wallpapers and furnishings. It’s maybe not the headline place to stay but don’t overlook this one. One caution is to ask for a quiet room. Bars in the area can be noisy, you want to face the interior.
everything was amazing about this hotel. from the reception of the staff late at night to the amazing organization of our room and my kid’s toys to the cleanness of the place to the amazing staff in every section of the hotel. one of the best places for sure. the room we stayed at was amazing. it was the joiner suite and it was comfy, spacious, warm and feels like home.
The location is perfect for overnight stay in Tallinn. All the best shops and shopping malls are close by and the hotel is well located only 15 minute walk from the ship terminals. The hotel itself is well maintained, clean and comfortable. The spa was small with few hot pools and one big pool and different saunas (and a bar).
A modern hotel at the port of Tallinn, rooms were spacious enough with big windows. Breakfast was good but some things like potatoes or sausages were not of good quality. Bacon and some pancakes maybe would be a good addition. Old town was about 15 - 20 minutes by foot but with lots of snow and cold it can be challenging
Hotel is wonderful: location, staff, space of the room, breakfast. I have not yet seen so variety for breakfast. It was excellent. Room is very spacious, clean and quiet, warm floor in the bathroom. Very convenient bad. And distance till the Old City is just 10 minutes walking. Also, we used hotel's parking. Perfect!
I love the hotel. The staff was nice. The facility was gorgeous. The spa and massage was well worth it. Also the sky bar was nice and a nice vibe as well. Would definitely recommend and would book again if I was to ever come to Tallinn again. One of the best hotels I've been to!!
The hotel is very close to the port and the bus station and only 7 minutes walk from the Old Town with all its wonders . The room was very spacious and we had opted for the sea view , which was great. Breakfast was very good although decaf options would have been welcome .
Absolutely new, fresh, modern design. Cozy beds and pillows.
Self check in.
Great breakfast (not buffet, menu), very good size if portions, really beautiful and tasty, one of the best hotel breakfasts.
Just few minutes walk from center.
True legend among the Estonian hotels, a true classic. Room spacios, cleaness excellent, breakfast delicios, staff professional and helpful. 10 out of ten. Amazing views are pluss and location in the heart of Tallinn super convenient.
Breakfast was very decent and I was pleasantly surprised how big is the standard room. Also bathroom was very nice and spacious. Overall great experience and definitely will come back again once I am back in Estonia.
Didn’t sleep in my hotel because I couldn’t check in. There was no administator even though I informed them what time I’ll arrive. When they finally answered my call they said they can’t understand Estonian.
My new favourite hotel in Tallinn! I have to stay over for a night from time to time before taking train home to Tartu, and this is so far the best price-quality combination!
