Once we got to top of the very steep hill to Castillo de Monda the hotel did not disappoint. The location is absolutely incredible with stunning views. The hotel balances a boutique feel with the impressive stature of an ancient monument. From being greeted at reception to the bar and waiting staff the service was exceptional. The hotel is perfect place to relax. Monda is a quiet village without tourists. There are local restaurants and bars. Do not expect glitz and glamour of a five star hotel. What you can expect is wonderful staff, great food, beautiful location and bags of character. Just what we needed for a 3 night stay.

The location in the mountains was exceptional! We didn't realize it when booking, and we were on a hiking trip so this was perfect. (Only that we had hiked in the mountains 25 km before arriving in the village and understanding that there was one more big climbing in front of us... :) Nevertheless, the view was stunning. The facilities were very comfortable, and there was even a pool! Finally decided to stay two nights instead of one that we had booked.

The staff were all super, food and accommodation was excellent! Very quiet, without and drinkers and loud noise.
We really loved it and would love to go back.
Hotel del Balneario is located just 5 minutes’ walk from Tolox, close to the Sierra de las Nieves Nature Reserve. It offers air-conditioned rooms, a beautiful large garden and a restaurant.

The hotel has an old world Moroccan feel to it but was clean with excellent views of the mountains.
The rooms were big and comfortable with large terrace.
The staff were all friendly and welcoming / helpful
