Capital of La Rioja independent community, Logroño is all about the delicious red wine cultivated in surrounding vineyards. Visiting a bodega (or two) demonstrates the care that goes into winemaking: the Franco-Españolas wine cellar is in a historic building with hundreds of barrels in underground cellars, while Juan Alcorta and Darien outside the city offer tastings in more modern structures.
You can also sample a glass of Rioja in the city’s many tapas restaurants and pavement cafés. Calle Portales is the main street and Calle Mayor also has several bars offering good nightlife.
Logroño is on the Way of St James and Santiago El Real church is a favoured stop for pilgrims. Its tower, together with the twin spires of the Co-Cathedral of Santa Maria de la Redonda, become beautifully reflected beside colourful waterfront houses in the peaceful River Ebro flowing under a stone bridge.
The covered bullring and the conference centre are north-east of the bridge, and a shady park is to the west. The Murallas del Revellín are 15th-century fortification remains, overlooked by the La Rioja Parliament building and near La Rioja Museum, detailing the region’s history.
Logroño train station is on the city outskirts and Booking.com offers guest houses nearby, as well as cheap apartments and boutique hotels near Logroño-Agoncillo Airport.

Very nice town.
Very nice town. We went there during the grape harvest festival, it was full of people, bars, restaurant, really nice.
The town is placed in a very beautiful region and very close to one of the best medieval towns in Spain: Laguardia.
Totally recommended.

Loved strolling around the old monuments, the churches, the open spaces with wonderful shops, restaurants and great food. People are friendly and you feel safe being out even at night. Also loved walking along the Ebro river and birdwatching with a friend, learning a bit more about the Camino a Santiago de Compostela route and the amazing landscape outside the city.

Don't be fooled.
Don't be fooled. Many of the photographs of Logrono make it seem unattractive and perhaps a bit urban. The reality is that it has a GREAT nightlife and is a really fun place to go. "Eat, drink and be merry" ought to be the motto for this town, the pincho district is very lively and it is all too easy to empty your pockets paying for food and drink at the many tapas bars in the Calle Laurel area.
Very pleasantly surprised, the whole family loves Logrono now!

My husband wanted to visit the Rioja region as it is his favourite wine. We visited the Campo Viejo vineyard fairly close to our hotel which was very interesting and he bought several bottles. The staff at the vineyard were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. It was an excellent day. We weren't able to take the tour but our visit was enough.
Logrono town was interesting, with lots of bars and restaurants. Tapas etc. It was very clean and there was very little traffic.
Lovely hotel just on the edge of the town, 5-10 minutes easy walk. our room was really comfortable with a fabulous breakfast included. The staff kept all the food fresh and there was hot food too(egg and bacon - delicious!!). Logrono has a wonderful tapas area a short walk away - 4streets lined with bars and restaurants and a great buzzy atmosphere. 2 of the bars serve only 1 mushroom tapa - delish. Great town to wander and look at the sights
Clean and simple. Seems to have only 5 rooms which are well kept. Bathrooms are nice.
It's a bit funky as you are on the 1st floor of an apartment building and given keys to the exterior and interior doors. We found it just fine but if you need a front desk and hotel feel this isn't for you.
It is right across the street from the train station and a few blocks from the older part of town.
It was quiet.
Everything was as required and advertised. In fact it deserves a higher star rating in our opinion.
Fantastic stopover. Staff really helpful, parking nearby, secure, underground only 7€
Very, very clean, spacious and comfortable room.
Easy walking access to cathedral and many tapas/pincho bars.
Our first visit to Logrono and will definitely return- both to Logrono and the hotel.
Couldn't fault it!
It’s a great location for seeing the town of Logrono. We stayed during the San Mateo Festival, which is a wonderful time to come because if all the activities and delicious foods selling on the streets. They only suggestion for myself is next time bring ear plugs. The music and dancing which I loved continued until early morning hours😊
The location was great, near everything but in a quieter part of the old-town. Our host was amazing: Logrono has one of the coolest tapas restaurants areas ever and he put together a little mini-itenary by text that steered us to these amazing places we wouldn't have even known to ask for otherwise. Really outstanding.
Our stay at this hotel was enjoyable. We appreciated the location, although it was a bit challenging to locate the parking entrance. We discovered some charming local eateries nearby and enjoyed mingling with the locals. We also relished the coffee served at the reception.
The location was perfect. Just next to Oldtown where the fun is, with good bars and restaurants and attractions. Good place to buy a hat.And the tourist info office is nearby. Hotel is right on the Camino. And a good supermarket Marcadona is just a few doors away
Great hostel in the centre of Logrono. Wilf on reception was really helpful - providing a hairdryer and recommendations of where to go for dinner. It was a dorm for 6 and the beds were comfy with a clean bathroom just for the 6 of us
The Hotel was in a great location for seeing Logrono. Staff could not have been more helpful. Our room was very large, well appointed and spotlessly clean. The breakfast choice was extensive and service was prompt and efficient.
Hotel was super clean, very modern, and a great place to spend 2 nights after some hard days walking on the Camino de Santiago. Located less than a block off the Camino and half mile from the mall on the western edge of Logroño.
Great central location. Parking garage was tight but secure. Room size was fine. Breakfast selection was good. Logrono is a great place to stop with many tapas bars just a very short walk from the hotel.
Susana has done a wonderful job with the design of these apartments - they’re bright, beautiful, comfortable, homey, and distinct. The location is also perfect for walking around and exploring Logroño.
Excellent location...easy to find and access. Lovely and clean and extremely comfortable beds. I'd definitely stay again if returning to Logroño. Very well equipped if you wanted to self cater.
Perfect apartment in centre of Logrono. Self service entrance - instructions were super easy to follow.
All communications with owner were easy and clear.
