Our room was clean. We were offered a small room with a balcony facing the street for an extra fee, which - at the end - was, actually, not worth it.
The visitors center was a pleasant experience. We were given a map of the town and the top sites to see if you had the time. We walked through their main park and had hoped to walk to the beach that was one of their top attractions. Beautiful plants and birds nested in the marsh areas, and even though we didn't walk far enough to get to the beach we loved the nature that was there at the inlet.

The only thing that disappointed me in Redondela, was a nearby restaurant "Casa Chano Restaurante". My son and I were very hungry and we were hoping for a "Pilgrim Menu". We walked in this restaurant and we were bowled over by the impeccable service. The lady even brought us complimentary empanadas. It seemed that two of the waiters spoke English. I was going for a fish dish that was under 15 Euros and my son had calamari that was reasonable. Well, they were out of the fish, so I pointed to a meat item. The large portion for a group is 35 Euro. The waiter said that I could have an individual portion for 12.50 euro. I was fine with that. We each had a beer and a flan for a dessert. I wanted to pay the bill so I gave my credit card and I was so pleased with the service that I gave $15 American dollars for a tip. One of the waiters who spoke English ran my card and it was not until I got back to my room that I had noticed that the bill was for 58 Euros. I was charged 35 Euros for the meat dish. I was flabbergasted as we were on a limited budget. I really felt it was only one person there because everyone else was exceptional. However, it did leave a sour taste.

the history of the building. the caretakers were lovely.
The layout was odd and I think with a little renovation/reallocation of resources this could be a better place to stay. Many guestrooms and one bathroom, no sink in the breakfast area etc.

The hosts were absolutely fantastic and the house has a lot of charm. The place is shiny and it is fully equipped with everything one could possibly need for a 1 day-3/4 weeks stay. Location is right at the heart of the historical centre. Host also shared useful tips to eat and drink nearby.
Gracias!

The woman at the information bureau was excellent- nicest person we have met so far, very kind. Made phone calls to help us out because we can’t speak Spanish and she was happy to find out for us. Interesting town.
Everything! A little haven in the forest.
What a special pilgrim stop between Redondela and Arcade. Chris the host was incredibly kind and generous. We got to stay in the “Queens room” which was exceptional. Comfortable beds with white clean linen, lots of space, a newly refurbed bathroom and surroundings that make you want to stay another night. So quiet and peaceful.
Everything you need in the kitchen for an overnight stay. Carrot cake in the morning, fresh water from the Spring, tea and coffee… I can’t fault this place at all.
Nice hotel with restaurant. Small room with little bathtub. Self-laundromat is 15 min away. Several supermarkets nearby; one of them opens very late 2am(?) at 25 min away. Bus stop to Redondela is 5 min away. If you follow the coastline, it is right on the Camino trail. The restaurant opens for dinner between 8:15pm and 10pm, very strict. I loved the ocean view!!!
The albergue is easy to find as it is located right on the Camino route just as you come into Redondela. It was clean with a well stocked kitchen and good bathroom facilities. There are privacy curtains with lots of space between the sets of bunk beds. The hostess was very friendly and did your laundry for a few euros.
Everything! A+ service and accommodations! And the food is superb! I would like to stay at El Lar de Carmen on my next trip to Galicia. Carmen, Jesus and their 👪 were great. They really went "out of the way" to make may stay a pleasant one and answered the questions I had about El Camino de Santiago. Thanks!
I really love the Avoa Regina albergue. It is my second visit to them (I was there last year) and I hope to visit again next year. It’s a really clean hostel with all the attention to details pilgrims on the Camino need. An extra bonus - it is the last hostel in Redondela so there’s less walking the next day!
Service is good. Checkin is in the Bar. They walk with you & show your room. Big compound. Rooms are ok. Bed is fine. A great place to stay, if you want to move away from Redondela.
Dinner in the bar is simply yummy. Everything is freshly home-cooked.
I have stayed here 3x with my camino groups.
The location is north of Redondela in Cesantes at the coast. We loved the set up: beautiful garden with flowers, lots of chairs and tables to sit outside, we could use the washer and dryer, we had a kitchen and bathroom, all the facilities seemed brand new. Fabiola is a wonderful and helpful host.
Beautiful space, lovely stone house with expansive garden and lots of outdoor seating. Good, modern bathrooms. Comfortable beds. Smooth check in. Location is 1.7km outside of Redondela, so plan groceries/town needs accordingly when on the Camino.
Was a little off the camino path for us but the hotel was awesome! staff helpful, friendly, food was great, room was clean (no AC but able to get cross breeze through the windows) - overall a great place to stay.
Loved it. location worth the 7e taxi from the city centre. Easy to access the Camino if you don’t mind ti pick it up couple of km ahead. lovely walk from the Hotel to join the others.
See food fresh and very good.
i would love to go back to Redondela and stay here. sitting outside on the patio grilling would be incredible. lovely little apt located right in the center and a block away from the Camino trail
The apartment was spacious with 2 balconies in the heart of Redondela! The washer was a bonus for our mid-Camino trip and the apt was located on a nice quiet street for an amazing rest!
This was the best day of my Camino, so far. It’s a nicely appointed hotel and a fantastic location. The staff was very welcoming to facilities were just what I had hoped for.
