The lady who greeted us on reception was lovely. Professional and fun and with a sense of humour. We were made to feel very welcome despite only staying for one night. The hotel location was excellent as was the parking.

A Fascinating Voyage through Art, History and Culture
Located near the borders of France, Germany and Luxemburg, the French city of Metz is the capital of the Lorraine region in the Moselle department. This destination has stunning architecture, as well as rich history and culture.
The Saint Étienne Cathedral is a massive Gothic structure, built of yellow limestone. This masterpiece along with the Defensive City Gates, are some of the most important landmarks in Metz.
You can wander around the picturesque streets, admire the buildings made of Jaumont stone and discover a mix of Italian, French and German architecture. The modern Centre Pompidou-Metz is home to great pieces of modern art by world-renown artists like Joan Miró, Henri Matisse and Picasso.

Beautiful city to walk around in. Extraordinary cathedral if you are into architecture; Centre Pompidou-Metz is also superb from the perspective of architecture. Also: very extensive archaeology museum if you are into that. And there are great restaurants. Not too touristy (too far for day trips from Paris, in contrast to Reims). I did have a problem with the housing; best to avoid "rock-in-share" listings (I was charged for two nights, and also charged a "cleaning" fee, but was never able to pick up the key or enter the place).

Metz is an interesting city.
Metz is an interesting city. We hope to spend more time there, walking by the rivers and canals. Metz can't be blamed for bad weather. We just chose the wrong time of year for our trip. We now have maps and a guide to the city and hope to return. Due to the winding streets it can be difficult to find oone's way around but that can lead to interesting discoveries.

There was so much to see and do and we could have easily spent 3 days exploring the city but instead had only a day and a half.
The electric buses in the centre (which look like trams) are free and easy to use.
Everything in the centre is within walking distance.
It also has a two Indoor shopping centre - the Muse just outside of the centre is by far the nicer of the two.
The train station is absolutely stunning and was built for Kaiser Wilhelm 2 and is he had apartments there.
The people are friendly, food is reasonably priced and the sights are stunning.

A really beautiful city, during the day and in the evening.
A really beautiful city, during the day and in the evening.
When you go a little bit out of the centre, you'll see other restaurants which are marvelous.
A visit to the cathedral is actualy a must.
A wonderful two days in France's green city. Metz is a joy to visit, a real gem, and Patrick's apartment is brilliantly located in the thick of it all. Patrick directed us on arrival to the very convenient car park beneath the building and kindly showed us the two bed apartment, which is generously spaced and thoughtfully equipped. Patrick has thought of just about everything and we loved staying here. Comfortable, homely and the perfect place to stay in a perfect city for those who love to eat, drink and enjoy life. Thank you.
the place is located closed to park so it was very nice to walk through it to reach the centre of Metz. the host left a lot of tips about what to visit and what to do in Metz. the room was very well equipped (hairdryer, pots and pans, washing machine, kitchenette, little oven and microwaves). In the room we found shampoo, body lotion and 4 towels. The room also had products for cleaning, which was fantastic considering that we were there for almost a week.
A pretty good hotel to spend the night if you are passing through, but not for more than one night. It is very clean, good English speaking staff and everything has been renewed. Disadvantages are the too small rooms and bizarrely small bathrooms. Location is great, you are in the beautiful center of the city in no time and there is a nice parking garage across the street.
The location was superb with because of its actual spot but also its place in the historical centre of the city. The overall renovation and design of the apartment (which originally served a different function) was excellent and the quality of all the material and appliances of very high standards. The quality of the mattress was superb!
Hotel is located next to the main convention center. Very easy walking access to and from the train station Metz Ville. Check and check out easy. Rooms a decent size, Nice breakfast area with outside seating if you wanted. Also well located to a major shopping mall, the Muse and the Pompidou Arts Centre
Wonderful accommodation in the heart of Metz. The classical North African theme captures the imagination and adds to the experience. Our family of five was very comfortable here. Parking and check-in information was detailed and the owner was very responsive to our questions.
Location was fantastic, very quiet and just 15 minute walk to the centre of Metz along the canal bank and through a lovely park.
Excellent and very generous breakfast of croissant, bread, jams, fresh orange juice, tea, coffee.
The host was friendly and very attentive.
The location was perfect, a few minutes away from the station and the city centre. I liked the friendly staff. The breakfast was excellent. Surprisingly I received a very big room for the French standards. I wish I had stayed longer not just for one night.
Great location with free parking and with the addition of the bus stop just a 2 minute walk away to get into the centre of Metz. Rooms very spacious and clean. Lovely bar area and not too expensive.
Nice hotel located immediately next to the main train station and a relatively short walk to the centre of the city. Room was reasonably spacious and nice and clean. Breakfast was quite nice.
We found the accommodation an exceptional property, an excellent location for our needs. We did not eat breakfast in the hotel but lunch in the same restaurant was wonderful.
WiFi was quite good, and the bed comfort/ sleep quality was also good. A well-located hotel, close to the train station and a 10-minute walk from the city centre.
Very comfortable modern hotel within old citadel, easy to walk into city centre. Large bedroom and bathroom with all amenities. Good restaurant. Easy parking
