We toured Ireland for two weeks, resting every other night in a different B+Bs. StayLagom was by far the best accommodation we stayed in. Although “Lagom” means something like “just right” in swedish as we found out, we felt like getting more than we paid for. The communication with the host was lagom - not intrusive nor repellent (as we experienced before). After we let ourselves in via electronic key lock we received a massage later that night asking if we settled in fine - just lagom for us. The size of the bed and its mattress was more than lagom. This was unfortunate, because we overslept and could not take advantage of the large kitchen area provided to the extent we would have liked due to the checkout time. The kitchen area provided (among others) fresh bred that actually tasted good - free use. The manor house was apparently freshly renovated. This was obviously done by someone with knowledge in the field of architecture, interior design and landscaping. Too bad we could only stay for a night.

I have travelled to Ballycastle many times - for its size the town has many amenities such as resturants, pubs, cafes, etc. The natural beauty in the area is great including the beach area, Fair Head rock formation, and the rolling hills in the area.

Sharon was a very attentive host providing us with excellent tips on where to eat, places to visit & with the weather being a total washout on our first day, with high winds, & heavy showers, she provided advice on some quality alternative experiences.
A superb host, providing clean, luxurious accommodation in a location 5 minutes from the beach and 10 minutes from the town, with a breakfast to set you up to reach base camp on Everest...we would definitely recommend

This is our 2nd trip to Ballycastle and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
However, what we didnt enjoy was the fact, that we had a fully electric car and out of 3 electric chargers there was just one but permanently out of order!!!! which is just unacceptable.
Whats more,Bushmills also didn't have a working EV charger so we were very stressed out looking for a working charger the whole afternoon which with 2 small kids it's no fun!The nearest EV charger is in Portrush so one has to plan it's journey.

Great little seaside town!
Great little seaside town! Just ask Irene what to do and where to eat, she has fantastic tips!
Town has a laundromat which was very convenient for us.
Only a 3 min drive to the beach from Irene’s and easy to get around
We went to O’Connor s pub for dinner, great food and a good variety. Really fun atmosphere, and even hard our first Guinness here
The Manse is a truly exceptional place to stay. The location is perfect, in the heart of Ballycastle within walking distance to a lovely beach, parks and lots of cafes/restaurants/bars. As a large family the house was more than accommodating. It was exceptionally clean, comfortable and had lots of space both inside and outside for the children to roam. The hot tubs and sauna were brilliant facilities, enjoyed by all the family. The communication was excellent with the host and any issues were quickly resolved. A fabulous property!
It’s a gorgeous, pristine and well maintained cottage, everything is there for you, and it’s located in Ballycastle very close to the town centre and beach 🏖️ , spacious and with powerful heating. I love the furniture in the kitchen and dining area. All beds are comfortable, rooms are spotless and welcoming. The host is fantastic, you can not get better communication than this. The cottage has its own parking 🅿️ , super convenient, a beautiful and quiet area too.
Location was great & close to everything we wanted to explore along the Antrim coast. Ballycastle a lovely town by the sea, where everyone was so friendly!!
The apartment was perfect & we had all are needs catered for. Bright, clean & very comfortable & also in the centre of everything! I would recommend it to friends/family, And also plan on coming back myself, still plenty left to explore around the area!
Staff at hotel. Fabulous. Everyone wanting to help you in anyways they can. From reception staff to restaurant breakfast. Lunch and evening meals. The manager Lism even gave me to snd from my dad's anniversary Mass in Carey. Couldn't get a taxi. Liam offered his services to me which was very much appreciated. Thank you all at The Marine Hotel for making our stay a great one
We thoroughly enjoyed our two-night stay with Chrissie & Chris. We felt immediately at home and were delighted by their personal touches and willingness to share time with us. Every aspect of our room, breakfasts and location for walking to local pubs and restaurants was great. What a way to wrap up a 16 day trip to Ireland and Northern Ireland!
The BnB was modern, clean and of the highest quality all the way around. The furniture and decorations were inspired and very well arranged. Our host was very helpful, an excellent cook. She provided great information and recommendations for our trip and made our stay very relaxing. We would love to return to this BnB in Ballycastle.
- Fantastic location to visit Northern Ireland, a great bakery (Ursa Minor) at the front door for breakfast, amazing fish&chips nearby.
- It's a beautiful house. We felt totally at home, space for three people, one room en-suite, super comfy and clean. There is everything you need and more. A home away from home!
Beautiful home in an excellent location. Loved having the forest so close for our dogs. The property had everything we needed, including comfortable beds. 5 minute walk to town and 15 minutes to seafront. I've stayed in Ballycastle many times but will definitely book this fab house again.
Location very good. Kitchen Dining and Lounge area Specious. Nice garden area, but a bit cool for us to sit out too long. Quiet area, Close to Co-Op supermarket, Restaurants and Pubs. 12min walk to Beach and Harbour. Ballycastle is near main tourist attractions. Wifi good.
Ballycastle is a beautiful, happy place to visit with a splendid beach and every holiday convenience - I counted at least three ice-cream parlours. My hostess at Ardaghmore couldn't have been warmer, the place is immaculately clean, and breakfast is generous.
Perfect accommodation for a family. Plenty of room, very clean, fully stocked for making meals, owner very responsive. Loved the welcoming snacks! Lots of room to park a car, located in a nice neighborhood. If we could have, we would have stayed longer.
Fantastic location close to the beach and town centre. Very spacious flat, and we loved the fact there were 3 ensuites. Well equipped and amazing views.
Highly recommended as a base for a trip to beautiful Ballycastle and the North coast of Ireland.
The property was excellent! Beautifully appointed bedrooms, comfy beds, felt like a small luxury hotel room. Immaculately clean, fab bathrooms and the kitchen had loads of glasses, plates, serving bowls etc.
One of our kids' favorite stay across Ireland. Very family friendly property. Wonderful hostess attentive to all our needs. Yummy treats upon arrival and choice of breakfast. Lovely rooms.
Amazing spa hotel located perfectly for exploring the Antrim coast. Excellent customer service all round.
Great drinks and food menus.
Breakfast was perfect.
We would certainly return.
Breakfast would make a few of the 4/5 star hotels we have stayed in look at themselves!! Freshly cooked and well presented it made breakfast a pleasure.
