Moxy Birmingham NEC, hotel in Bickenhill

Moxy Birmingham NEC has a fitness centre, shared lounge, a restaurant and bar in Bickenhill. With free WiFi, this 4-star hotel offers a 24-hour front desk and a business centre.

The breakfast had a nice selection - I believe it would be beneficial to add the allergens to the food signs. I had to ask a member of staff (who was very helpful) but to ease the process, add the details on.

Disabled travellers need to be sure they get a room with appropriate facilities. Acknowledging a request is not good enough. The exact nature of bathroom accessibility should be clear - e.g. whether space for a wheelchair for transfer to shower seat and WC; Position of grab rails and drop-down handrails.

I booked this hotel because my sister uses a wheelchair and we were visiting crufts at the NEC therefore we wanted to be as close to it as possible. when they built the hotel they had no consideration for people in wheelchairs making the journey from the hotel to the nearby beautiful lake and on around to the NEC center.

Whilst i believe the hotel is being renovated, the carpets in the bedroom were filthy. Looked like workmen had been in there with their dirty boots. Breakfast was terrible, Did not have no choice, we were asked what we wanted. When it arrived the sausage and bacon were under cooked. Would not stay here again.

    Terrible room.

Terrible room. The shower was separate to the toilet and there was nowhere to dry yourself in the shower. Consequently my partner slipped and fell, resulting in a massive bruise. No mats provided. I will not be returning.

All the staff we met were excellent and the hotel was in the ideal location for us as we had an early flight. It was clean, comfortable enough for one night and had a compact shower . It was perfect. Excellent service from Lorenzo in the dining room , food choice of food although it is expensive and my fish and chips were not the best by any means. My sister's meal was much nicer! . All in all it is ideal , no stress in the early hours if catching a flight at that time of day.

We contacted booking.com to book parking and asked if we could book for 9 nights parking although we were only staying 1 night as we had a flight from Birmingham. Booking.com confirmed this was OK with the Hotel When we got to Genting Hotel they said we could only park there for 1 night. We booked the hotel as it offered parking and close to Airport. We had to leave the next morning early to sort out alternative parking. Really disappointed and will not be staying again.

Whilst the décor of the hotel was a little dated, it was more than made up for the exceptional quality of the staff. I do not recollect when I been in a hotel where they have been so friendly and so helpful. Whilst, perhaps, it is not a 'Birmingham Airport Hotel', for those with transport, I would commend it. (Idid not need a shuttle bus because I had my own bicycle). I suspect it would also be a really good conference centre.

The hotel i situated close to the airport. The monorail brings you in 5 min to Birmingham international for free. The breakfast was tasty. The renovation og the hotel and rooms is noticeable. The room was comfortable, cosy and clean (with ironing board and fine hairdryer). The concierge (white-haired man) was EXTREMELY KIND!!! As well the cleaning mail staff on 5th floor was very supporive.

Front desk people were great. They loaned me a hair dryer. Rooms very quiet and bed very comfortable. Loved that I could simply walk 4 minutes to middle of airport car park to the hotel, and then the next morning walk 4 minutes to bus stop to take bus to LHR.
