Really nice unique hotel, used to stay there before a flight from East Midlands. Situated in a beautiful village the staff were really friendly and I love a hotel with character as oppose to the standard chain hotels. Highly recommend.

Warm, clean and comfortable but breakfast was very very basic and diy. I felt that value for money was not good. We had a change of circumstances which ment we could not travel on the Friday(booked Friday and Saturday night) but had contacted them and asked if we could change the dates to the Saturday and Sunday night instead. They said no that they were not going to do that that booking would not allow it so we had to just turn up on the Saturday having paid for the Friday and Saturday. Meanwhile we made another booking for the Sunday night and guess what happened… they gave us the same room we had been in!

Interesting place with range of ages of buildings.
Interesting place with range of ages of buildings. Lots of food outlets, looked good. Manor Hotel very faded glory: avoid.
Bus to Nottingham or Derby runs all night because of the airport. We went bus pass to Nottingham, very well worth a visit. An attractive town that could do with a good clean.
Best fabric shop my wife has seen in this country. Rolls of high quality end of line from local mills for sod-all! We brought back 2, but will be going again no doubt.
Very close to M1 and A50 so very easy to get to.

Time has caught up with the hotel since the advert was written. Sadly, my room was no longer 'bright and modern' and the shower definitely wan't a 'power shower'.
The thermostat wasn't there. The room was cold.
The TV remote had two parts mission.
The carpet was 'suspect'.
No hand soap. When asked, the hotel had "run out".
Tea and coffee was provided, but no milk. I had to go back to ask for some.
IKEA coffee mug still had a dirty sticker on the bottom.
Bathroom was.... not perfect.

The hotel is only a short walk to the airport which makes it ideal.
We have stayed a number of times, normally we book in for a night before we travel and the car is parked for the duration of our trip, this is normally booked through Holiday Extras but I omitted to to book for our return night therefore did this through Booking.com. Only disappointment with this was I had to pay an extra £5 for parking that night of our stay.

Great location to our final destination, reasonable price for what you get but carpet made the room so much older than it could’ve been. Really friendly welcoming receptionists both on arrival and exit!

Just a 15 minute walk from/to the airport (Also an airport bus stop right outside).Pre-heated room on arrival (February 29th).Clean,spacious,comfortable room with seating and a small but functional bathroom.Tea and coffee in the room and a very good breakfast included in the price.Only paid £63 so fantastic value.I dont usually use this airport hotel but at this price i would be here all the time.I would also like to mention the front of house staff, manager and cleaners that i met were very welcoming, friendly and helpful.
Lovely hotel in a great central location in Castle Donington. The property felt new and very clean.
Also has an excellent communal kitchen area that is considerately stocked with breakfast provisions for guests which was greatly appreciated. Owners are great too, with excellent communication, We 100% recommend the Bondgate Hotel, thank you for a fantastic stay, we would most definitely like to stay here again, Cheers.
What a lovely hotel, stayed here the night before holiday and the return night, beautiful grounds right on the river with lovely views, rooms lovely and spacious, staff lovely and helpful, had meal in the restaurant and was nice but thought was a little over priced, breakfast was lovely to get us on our way for our hols.... Very close to East Midlands Airport and we will definitely be staying again.
Really friendly, helpful staff and a really warm welcome form them. The hotel is very clean and tidy throughout and has a nice atmosphere. The room was clean and tidy and a good size, the shower was excellent too. Breakfast, was great lots of choice of hot and cold food and plenty of different beverages. Again the staff being helpful when needed, nothing was too much trouble for them.
We stayed at this hotel en route to the Alton Towers. The beds were comfortable and clean.
The restaurant was very accomodating for the evening meal and the staff was brilliant.
Leisure centre was good, we enjoyed the swim with our kids and sauna/steam room facilities also. Jacuzzi was a bonus, really.
The room was quiet and we had a good sleep.
Parking space close by.
Beds were comfortable, there was enough room, tea making facilities good and the room temperature was good.
The Hotel is in an idea position to visit Donnington race track, buses run very regularly as two routes run from the past the hotel. Bus stop immediately outside the hotel area.
The whole hotel looked new/refurbished. Room was very clean. Kitchen was well equipped, and full with food. They even kept alternative milk, which we use normally. It had a coffee machine, with different pods as well and fruits, breads, joghurts jams eggs etc
Really loved our stay
Exceptionally clean, inviting, lovely welcoming host and very comfortable with all amenities available… tea, coffee, water etc. highly recommended. Also could possibly facilitate car parking for holidays from East Midlands. 👍👍👍
Very impressive, nicely presented, quirky with a lot of foliage and bird details throughout the hotel. Room was spacious. The only thing I’d have liked would be a vending machine, even if it only stocked bottled water.
The staff were pleasant and as helpful as they could be. They attempted to assist me whenever I went to the reception desk with an issue, and the hotel was nice and quiet. Generally a lovely location for a short stay.
The hotelier was very accommodating. We were only there for one night, and only for a short time due to bring at a wedding all day and evening. However there was no mad rush for us to leave early the next morning.
The Days Inn by Wyndham Donington hotel was the cheapest hotel in the area - for 5 nights I spent approximately £173, averaging £35 per night. Being just 20 minutes away from East Midlands airport, it was fine...
