Exceptional! Visited for my little girls birthday as a treat (she wanted to stay in a “posh” hotel). Staff were so friendly and helpful, the room was simply stunning. The food in the Saltfish was divine. We both smiled all weekend! Thank you for a wonderful stay.

I used to live here so only visiting family, unless you are here for the railway heritage there is not a lot to see in the town, but it is like most towns that we visit empty shops a sense of depreciation everywhere.

Darlington is a vibrant northern town with a big future. You only have to look at the developments at the train station, and the fact part of the treasury is relocating there. A bigger brighter future for darlo awaits.

It was beautiful with lots of interesting history & it's got beautiful grounds which would be beautiful in the summer so can't wait to plan another trip to The George in the summer time. The room was very clean & had everything we needed. The only negative I have is we had to ask about information about meals etc but the staff were more than helpful

Quiet town with plenty of shopping and restaurants. Local recreation and sightseeing, major train depot. I had good weather while I was there, nearly everything you need is within walking distance of most hotels.

The staff at 119 are just lovely, so friendly and helpful.

The staff at 119 are just lovely, so friendly and helpful. The boss is prepared to do anything to make your stay as comfortable as possible, he really is a top man! The facilities are faultless, everywhere is clean and tidy. The kitchen has tea and coffee facilities, and can be used whenever needed, (obviously taking other guests into consideration) My partner and I have stayed here twice now and would not stay anywhere else, we have found somewhere that's comfortable friendly professional and above all else brilliant value for money. We are back in January!

Beautiful hotel set in large grounds just outside Darlington centre. Lovely quiet setting and only a 30min walk from the town centre. The hotel is full of character and history. The staff at reception for very friendly and welcoming and I was checked in quickly. My room was immaculate. Very clean, comfy bed, nice en suite. I did have a drink at the bar and they had a good selection of drinks. I had a pint of beer which was £5 so a good price. Would definitely stay again.

We chose this hotel for its location since we were visiting family in nearby Darlington, and we were really happy with this choice! It is fairly easily accessible but still very quiet - out in the country side, just what we were looking for. Our room was very spacious, as was the bathroom. To welcome us we found a sample of home-made biscuits in the room, and it was lovely and warm and cosy at all times.

I really did like everything. Location was good. There are a lot of bus stops near the hotel. Town centre is only about 15 minutes walk . There are a lot of shops and pubs not far from the hotel. The stuff was very kind to me as well. Basically nice comfy and very cheap room. I will definitely stay here again next time.

Breakfast was lovely and the location of the Hotel could not be better 5 minutes from Darlington centre by foot, friendly and helpful staff could not ask for better. We didn't eat in Maxines restaurant as we were meeting friends in the town however the restaurant looked very nice and hopefully next visit we will eat in!!

Great property in a great location for Darlington town centre and railway station. This is our second stay at the house and we were again impressed with the communication, cleanliness and facilities in the house. We really appreciate the secure off-road parking when we spent the week trekking around on foot.

I stay there regularly as I visit my mother in a care home in Darlington and the hotel provides flexible, low-cost accommodation and the staff are great. The rooms are pretty standard but the linen is clean and crisp and they're always happy to provide what you need
