My trip was for work, so not much time for sightseeing.
My trip was for work, so not much time for sightseeing. I noted that the racecourse is just a couple of minutes from where I was staying, and the Lakeside shopping centres a few minutes more in the opposite direction. I would have liked to visit the air museum but didnt have time

Great night life.
Great night life. Amazingly friendly atmosphere, The Ibetha of South Yorkshire.
A nice Market, plenty of shops. Good Taxi Service. Excellent Rail Connection. Love it!!
The Red Lion (Weatherspoons) in the Market Square is excellent !!
Room was huge. Air-source heating was really good. Breakfast comprehensive and porridge cooked at request was delicious. Reception staff really helpful. We wanted to visit Doncaster town centre and there is a bus stop right outside the hotel which made it very easy. There is also a Park and Ride a mile further on but it didn't look much used.
Evening meal was good. Ample parking. Lovely gardens and good local footpaths at the right time of year.
Nice informative staff.Early check in request was obliged.Lovely clean and comfortable bedroom.Hotel beautifully decorated throughout.Classy Art Deco restaurant and hotel.Breakfast was very good with ample choice of cereals etc and choice of hot food which was well cooked and tasty.Towels and bedding were of excellent quality. A tea/coffee making tray was very welcome with branded goods.
Location was ideally suited to visitors of the Wildlife Park and we got a train to Doncaster and an Uber to the hotel.
We travelled as a family including my (adult) son who has autism and complex needs. All staff from reception, dining facilities and the park itself were immediately aware of my sons needs without explanation and couldn't have been more helpful or understanding.
Have stayed at this Fabulous Guest House before whilst visiting Doncaster, wouldn't stay anywhere else, 100% perfect accommodation, immaculate rooms, great hostess with the mostess 😊, with lovely cats and dog, superb breakfast, ideal location for all amenities and pubs entertainment etc, highly recommend to anyone, once you have stopped once you will not hesitate to book again
Our family stayed here for 1 night so that we could hop on the train to London in the morning. The rooms were clean, functional, and the beds were perfect for sleeping on. The rest of the hotel looked gorgeous and stately! The hotel is also located next to a bunch of "McMansions", in a nice neighborhood that is perfect for a stroll as the rest of the family is checking in.
Lovely quiet location off the main roads. Our room was clean and comfortable. Our host was SO great! We got in late and he escorted us across to the restaurant that’s affiliated with the hotel. They were closing up for the evening, but he put in a word for us so that we could get something to eat. He went out of his way to help us and it was SO appreciated!
A lot better than some reviews state for a budget hotel with great location couLdnt fault anything rooms warm and clean towels provided nice bath rooms with shower good size Tv and hair driers £6.50 in a taxi to center of Doncaster and free parking on site just make sure you enter your car reg when checking in
Location was great, 10 min walk to city centre.
Hotel itself is lovely, I paid I think £63/£68 for a Saturday night, I did t think the price was bad at all!! And especially for the hotel!! It’s lovely. Room was a good size, nice shower, good facilities in the room (hair dryer, kettle, tv, a telephone!!)
Great place to stay when in Doncaster. Tracey and her lovely dog are the perfect hosts. Ive now stayed in three different rooms and each is well appointed & very comfortable. A short walk into the town centre and several bars, pubs & eateries. Will have no hesitation in staying again. Recommended.
Friendly, helpful staff. Good location for a planned work meeting. Good size (single) room with enormous bathroom. Comfy bed. Lovely view from back of hotel. I didn't eat there, so can't comment, but the restaurant looked cosy and pleasant.
Hope to stay again when I next visit Doncaster for work.
Ideally located for racecourse and 5min bus ride into town centre. Bus stop outside the hotel. The room was a good size and it was comfortable and warm. It was reasonably priced.
The room was a generous size, and No 56 has a newer carpet, than 53 where I stayed previously. Quiet areas to read and relax are to found in the hotel. Good facilites all round.
ideal location for our visit. while the hotel is under renovation the staff did a marvellous job of ensuring the patrons received good service and attention.
