This fine Victorian building is centrally located within Dunoon, and has excellent views of the River Clyde

The position in the town. Raj your Barman was particularly pleasant and helpful
With a scenic, tranquil location in Dunoon, The Park Hotel offers impressive sea views and stylish rooms. There is free parking and a traditional Scottish restaurant.

Double bed was two single beds together. Slight dip in the centre
Breakfast: Full breakfast was good. Smoked salmon and scrambled egg: the salmon was pale and too salty and the scrambled egg was tasty but firm (it depends on your interpretation of scrambled egg). Staff were friendly and attentive (extra toast!!)
Didn't use the bar so can't comment on prices or service
Struggled with the online television....
Overall a good place to stay, quiet location not far from the town centre.
We'd stay again

Dunoon is still developing as a destination. It is however a good base for travelling around Argyle and the Cowal peninsula. There are plenty of ferry links relatively to allow travel on Bute, The Mull of Kintyre and on to Arran as well as the link to Inverclyde. We were there for two half days but managed to see Puck's Glen and the Benmore Botanic Gardens, both well worth a visit.
Had a nice sit in Fish Supper beforwe going to a concert in the Burgh Halls. Burgh Halls was a good venue

Beautiful town with gorgeous scenery.
Beautiful town with gorgeous scenery. The Castle Museum is well worth a visit as the staff are very knowledgeable and welcoming. The history of Dunoon is fascinating. The Lorne Inn is a great place to eat but there are plenty of other places too. Puck’s Glen with waterfall walk is nearby and the Botanic Garden is close by also. Dunoon is handy for the ferries to Gourock and the Isle of Bute.

I found Dunoon to be a pleasant and friendly town with all the amenities i needed. Cowal is a beautiful part of Scotland with tremendous opportunities for outdoor recreation. I'd recommend it to anyone who enjoys the outdoors, yet is close to Glasgow and its amenities.

A trip to Benmore gardens was worthwhile and the surrounding area is outstandingly beautiful. Dunoon it.self is beginning to feel a bit run down and neglected, very limited eating options at night even at the weekend where you strugle to find anywhere after 8pm still serving food apart from carry out food .

Dunoon is a lovely little town that needs to advertise its wares much more effectively. In particular opportunities for walking in the surrounding countryside. There is a reasonable range of shops and places to eat but opening times are too restricted to attract more tourists.
The location of the Whistlefield Inn is perfect for folks, like my wife & I, who we’re looking to see the Argyle Forest & visit Ben More Botanic Garden.
The bar / restaurant area is so creative with either lovely wee niches or an awesome view of Loch Eck.
Our bedroom (no 6) was lovely with a comfy bed & a fantastic view of the Loch.
We ate at the Hotel and the food was lovely - their Mac & Cheese is to die for & their breakfasts amazing.
The staff were very friendly too.
We would love to go back.
Absolutely fabulous breakfast. Choices to fit every need and well prepared! The room was comfortable, bed exquisite, slept like a baby. The bonus family room was so comfortable after a long day. Nice to watch TV on a comfortable sofa. Alison and Drew were available to answer any questions, provide suggestions for dinner and had a great taxi service available if we wanted a drink at dinner. Everything was comfortable, relaxing and exceeded our expectations on every level!
Cracking hotel. Warm welcome. Great size room. Bathroom very modern (loved the mirror). Beautiful smelling toiletries, lovely soft towels. Tea, coffee, biscuits, kettle, bottles of water, and hairdryer provided. Lovely staff.. Gr8 bar. Only had a snack before leaving, which was good, so I can't really comment on the restaurant. Although it is beautiful and modern (Rio). Would definitely return and recommend to friends and family. 😁
Montague Villa is a lovely B and B near Dunoon. It is well appointed and spotlessly clean. We were served a wonderful breakfast by our hosts the following morning. Our only problem was that the room was at the front near the road and there was a little traffic noise. We live in a quiet area.
Booked this property for 3 of our guys who were working in the area recently. Feedback from them was all good. So much so that they wanted to return the following week, unfortunately the property was fully booked. Good contact from the host prior to arrival.
The Park hotel was in an ideal location, on the edge of Dunoon. It was clean and comfortable, with really good breakfast options. Mehmet and the other staff were all really helpful, and made our stay an enjoyable one.
The place was a great size for our group of six. It was really well kept and walking down to the water was really beautiful. And, the fact that we could do some laundry was a pleasant surprise. It's a beautiful area.
Stayed here before. Good location in Dunoon, residential area, good parking and easy to stay in small property. Excellent for couple with(out) one or two older children / relatives or friends.
Owner and staff were excellent. They provide an excellent breakfast that was included and they offer dinner reservations as well. The hotel even provides a full bar which was nice.
Lovely little hotel by the loch with the nest food and great staff. Out of 10 hotels we stayed in on our holiday, all over the west of Scotland this was the best.
