Very nice place set in some lovely countryside.

Very nice place set in some lovely countryside. We stayed at the Hanmer Arms and the food there was excellent, so I would definitely consider going back there again. The people are very friendly and there are some lovely places to visit that are not too far away.

The friendliness of the staff even to our dog was amazing.. Food couldn't be faulted portion size very good and so tasty. Room was lovely and cosy. Garden area was very welcoming and as weather was so good we relaxed in garden most evenings. Food was also served to us in garden. A car is a must with most places worth a visit are no more than 20-30 mins away. We cant wait to return.

The staff very helpful they, they brought water for our dog, took orders for drinks at our table which saved us standing at the bar. My husband had a broken leg so we were allocated a ground floor room which was spacious enough to move around with crutches.
