The most popular Wales seaside resort, Llandudno covers a peninsula with 2 sandy coastlines. The North Shore’s wide Victorian promenade is lined with period buildings which now house seafront hotels and guest houses. The beach itself stretches all the way between the Little Orme and Great Orme headlands, passing an outdoor swimming pool.
A historic tram climbs to the peak of Great Orme, where Bronze Age copper mines can be visited. The top is also reachable by cable car from Happy Valley, a recreation area with gardens and an artificial ski slope.
A road runs around the base of the headland passing the historic Grand Hotel, a property available on Booking.com and overlooking the Grade II-listed pier – the longest in Wales. The West Shore is much less developed and the Maesdu Golf Course forms most of its shoreline.
Of course, Llandudno has its fair share of traditional seaside pursuits such as donkey rides and fish and chip shops.
The town also has a modern retail park near the train station and Venue Cymru event centre, and wrought-iron canopies shade smaller shops along Mostyn Avenue, Broadway and Street. The latter - Mostyn Street - is effectively the high street and becomes brightly decorated during the Victorian carnival in May.
There were a lot of shops and restaurants in town.
There were a lot of shops and restaurants in town. It was easy get to other locations in north wales by car. Beautiful scenery and places of interest. I enjoyed the Sunday service at Holy Trinity church in the middle of town. We went to ‘Home Cooking’ twice for dinner. Great comfort food.

There is also the oldest Punch and Judy show and store. The resort itself has many shopping streets and also a shopping park 5 minute walk from the main prom, Llandudno has the scenic great Orme which you can climb, take a tram or go by car to the summit, and many restaurants, bars and cafes in the resort are dog friendly

I am from the area but moved many years ago. It was nice to visit like a proper tourist/ holidaymaker!
A lot has changed in Llandudno since i lived there. Very clean wherever I went and some great places to eat and drink in.
I have always rated the north prom which is where my hotel was located with the stunning bay capturing the Orme / pier and little Orme.
Good to see a few of the hotels are having work done to them. This will mean that the area will remain as it is with plenty of character.

People very friendly enjoyed everything
We went to The Clovelly to see an afternoon show and stay overnight.
Parking was a bit of an issue but that's Llandudno in general and not necessarily the hotel's fault although they do their best to make it as easy as possible.
Rooms were clean and comfortable and exactly as described on the website.
The welcome was warm and friendly and the breakfast was excellent.
Communication was excellent.
For our particular needs this was a perfect choice.
To be recommended.
We booked the Pebble House as a last minute trip to Llandudno. It was a lovely hotel situated right on the seafront and a short walk from the pier. The property was really well looked after and was extremely clean, we would 100% recommend the Pebble House to friends and family and would love to return. Simon was a great host and was extremely helpful. Breakfast was absolutely lovely, we both had a full English and it was exceptional! Overall, a brilliant stay.
Jackie and Dave were just wonderful hosts. They couldn’t do enough to make our stay comfortable and memorable. The location is wonderful for restaurants, shopping, the waterfront and the Orme tramway. The room was tastefully decorated and very homey.
The location is great for visiting the very close, walled city of Conwy and for exploring the Snowdonia National Forest. The drive on the Devil’s Spine from Llandudno to Cardiff was brilliant!
We where met by Melissa who was very nice. We where shown to our sea view room which was excellent had everything needed the little extra goodies with the tea and coffee was a lovely touch
The whole hotel was fantastically presented with lots of little homely touches. Definitely the nicest Hotel we've stayed in Llandudno and the price per night was very good especially getting such a tasty breakfast.
Great location to Llandudno attractions.
The Hotel staff were all friendly and attentive throughout our stay.
We stayed in a King size room with Sea view which was beautifully clean with the comfiest of beds.
Breakfast was a continental buffet and staff taking orders for a cooked breakfast which freshly made to order and delicious!

The bedroom was perfect enough room with a dog comfortable and with on-suit tidy and well kept.
The dining area for us and our pet is very good, with a sea view and plenty of space, food of excellent quality and good choice and to our choosing.

We honestly feel that this establishment should receive an award from Llandudno tourism board.
Fantastic staff, very friendly and couldn’t do enough for us! Brilliant location and lots of free parking, the room was extremely clean and spacious, amazing sea view! Breakfast was very tasty and fully set us up for the day.
We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in Llandudno.
After reading a number of reviews we thought our room may be a bit small. As it turned out the room was a good size and we had the added bonus of a sea view. The hotel was in a great position just across the road from the promenade and pretty close to the town centre too.
Great location on sea front and had sea view room. Beds big and comfy and breakfast although advertised as continental also included poached, boiled or scrambled eggs which were just the job! Llandudno is a great town with plenty to do and see so hotel a good location.
The hotel was overlooking the seafront with views out towards the 2 Ormes. Pretty much based right in the middle of the seafront so easy access into town and over to the ormes for a hike. Apart from that pretty much what you expect from a seafront hotel.
The hotel has friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was good with a fair variety of choices. The view from the dining room is excellent with the whole of the Llandudno seafront in view. Limited car parking but on-street parking is available outside.
I really like this hotel the sea view is amazing, breakfast good restaurant team always do a great job, lift out of order , no gas for the fizzy drinks and that creaky floor but it's still good value for money so we will be back soon
Hotel position is great just 10 mins walk to centre. Parking is safe. Very clean rooms with great pillows and duvets. Attentive friendly staff looked after us well. Excellent food and really good and varied menu.
Staff were very polite and helpful, room was basic but seafront view was the best I have had in the hotels. Llandudno has plenty to offer, the Grand Hotel is the ideally suited location to stay.
