We loved our stay. We had a very warm welcome from Victoria complete with a glass of prosecco and chatting by a cosy fire. The house is amazing, it's much more like staying with classy friends than a B and B. Very comfortable and lots of thoughtful little touches. Delicious (I'm guessing) Italian dinner available with pre-booking (we couldn't arrive in time to try it). Breakfast was outstanding. Cute dogs and kitten to pet. Great location and good tips for local visits.

The house is a tastefully renovated antique cottage. Modern conveniences (heating, WLAN, plumbing....) have been installed in an unobtrusive way that doesn't affect the overall character. Julie was a super host, a mine of useful information and a great cook - English breakfast was always a delight, including much local produce. We were pleased that quality took priority over price ;-)

Newton Abbot is a nice little town, with a decent array of shops. If you have little ones, you must go to iTown as it's a great place for toddlers and Primary School kids. The walk along the river and the Hackney Marshes are fantastic and the racecourse looks to be well maintained.

A lovely small town which is ideally located to explore both Dartmoor and the many attractions of South Devon. There are a good range of places to eat. For me, the highlight was the superb food and service at The Eastern Eye.

We didnt actually visit Newton Abbot itself, but the area is great for exploring Dartmoor, the East Devon coast and visiting Exeter. Wonderful food at The Cridford Inn in Trusham, Home Farm Cafe on the Parke Estate, The Ridge Cafe, Haldon Forest Park, The Cafe on The Green at Widecombe in the Moor and The Thatched Tavern at Maidencombe. All of these eateries can include great walks and are dog friendly.

Newton Abbott is a railway town, so a great place for getting to other places. It is worth exploring in it's own right, the bell tower and town museum are worth a visit. There are plentiful shops and cafes. Hackney Marshes, next to the racecourse are are pleasant walk.
Gorgeous spacious room overlooking fields and countryside, horses and resident wild buzzard. Extremely high quality bathroom that is on a level with top quality hotels around the world, huge walk in shower. Delicious Full breakfast included, table laid beautifully and every detail thought of, dining room overlooking horses and buzzard again. Lovely welcoming host. I wished I could have stayed longer and I will definitely go back when passing that way again! Easy to find off the A38 and plenty of parking. Thank you
Everything was fine once they transferred us to the hotel away from the other place that they put us, that would of been awful staying in there if we had wanted to stay in less than Travel Lodge conditions we would have booked that.
There was also confusion regarding ordering meals in advance which were supposed to be on a special offer, that was a bit of a nightmare sorting that, we had to prove that we had eaten at another restaurant on the last night -the staff were certainly confusing with charges etc.
It was a lovely location. Very quiet. Also it was a short drive to Newton Abbott where we drove to. But you could easily drive to the coast or to Exeter without too much hassle. It was just outside a nice village too where we could grab some dinner.
I loved the fire pits. The hut was very modern. The toilets and showers were great. Everything was very clean and in good working order. I liked the fact that we could turn up at any time without having to bother a receptionist etc.
The apartment is ideally situated in near proximity to both Paignton and Torquay where we have family. We also found it easy to access places of interest to us - Totnes, Brixham, Dartmouth, Kingsbridge, Slapton Sands and Salcombe . We have appreciated the tasteful furniture, the excellently equipped kitchen and many other facilities we were not expecting. A great place to enjoy a holiday in South Devon
We liked the feel of this sizeable historic building, looking out over Newton Abbott and the River Teign towards Teignmouth. The room was very comfortable and nicely decorated. The bathroom has been updated to a very modern standard. The hostess, Charlotte, was keen to make us feel welcome and comfortable. We had a very nice breakfast - including homemade jams and marmalade! Yum!
The hotel is really lovely, the rooms are decorated to a high standard and the staff are very welcoming in respect of you and your pets too which makes you feel at ease. You can also take your dog into the restaurant which is helpful when you can’t leave them in the room by themselves. Good location for travelling around provided you have a car.
We needed to stay new the centre of Newton Abbot as my husband was having eye surgery. The apartment was a 5 minute drive from the town so easy access to the clinic, supermarket etc. The apartment was spotlessly clean and really comfortable. Our host was amazing and really accommodating with some last minute changes we needed to make.
The host jayne was lovely we had everything and more that we needed, it was very easy to find and central for everywhere around, there is a lovely pub called the sloop 6 minute walk away serving lovely food and the service was warm and friendly, what a lovely place to stay
The property is close to Newton Abbot and only a short drive away.
The surrounding area is very quiet and peaceful.
Eveeything you need is there so you don't have to worry about packing extras for your stay.
The hosts are welcoming and friendly.
Absolutely loved this place. We stayed in a bell tent, it was just like being in a hotel room! We ate in the pub, and it was the best meal we'd had in a good long while. Staff lovely too. Highly recommended. Will definitely be coming back.
Newton Abbot is a great place to stay if you want to go to the sea and to Dartmoor. And if you like to go to a pub :-)
The flat is spacious, colorful, has good beds and you can sit outside. We loved it.
Also, the owners are very kind!
This flat was charming, quiet, and clean. I felt right at home with the amenities provided and even the neighbors were sweet and welcoming. The beds were comfortable and I had everything I needed to enjoy my time in Newton Abbot
We spent a week in Devon at this lovely apartment. Delia and Malcolm were really welcoming and had clearly put a lot of thought in to the guest experience. We liked it so much we booked for next year!
An ideal location to visit lots of tourist places.
Near to local super market and restaurant/ pub but in a quiet location.
The house was warm and cosy and had everything we needed.
