The room was lovely, with a nice view from the bedroom.
The shower was also incredible, we wanted to take it with us 😂
Thank you for having us, the pub is also lovely, very nice food and very pretty/relaxing ambience inside. We expected to go to Penrith for the evening but couldn't get a taxi, they squeezed us in to eat too. Thanks again for that too 😁
Very good value for money.

Beautiful town with a lot of history embedded. Places one needs to visit include Penrith Castle, Brougham Castle, Long Meg and Daughters. The cafes and restaurants at Penrith are cute and exude that family vibe. Highly recommend to do a stop-over at Penrith.

we visited Penrith as a bit of nostalgia as we used to go frequently in the past. The town was very quiet although we found a very good restaurant, GRANTS, for a delicious evening meal. It used to be a bustling market town which seems to have lost its heart . Maybe internet shopping has affected the economy of the town as is the case in many towns. It is perhaps a useful place to stay to explore the surrounding area which remains beautiful.

We used The Station Hotel as a stop off for a day trip to Scotland and could have stayed longer in Penrith as we barely took a look around. We had some dramas and it is credit to staff and management that they were able to sort booking confusions quickly and professionally. Thanks folks.

Penrith as a great place to base yourself for a stay in the Lake District. It's quieter than the more popular and populous towns of Keswick and Windermere - except in March when it hosts the World Marmalade Festival and, according to Karen and Ali from Blue Swallow Guesthouse, the town is decorated with Paddington Bears and Honey Pots. They even boast having one of the champion marmalade makers stay with them on an annual basis.

Free parking and a bar on site were positives as was the central location.
The advert said that it was a larger than average room but including the bathroom it was no more than 13ft by 8 ft. There was no table or chairs so not a pleasant area to spend any time. The bottom of the outside of the shower had ingrained dirt.

Penrith town very nice and quaint!
Penrith town very nice and quaint! The locals were lovely - in the bars, hotel and on the streets.
We visited Coniston lake and enjoyed it. Very pretty. nice cafe and food. boat trip very good.
Went to see Arthur's Round Table! Delightful. Nice hotel for coffee opposite.
Lots of free parking and the apartments are in a very quiet, out of the way farmland. The place is extremely comfortable and when we had an issue with the dryer not working it was replaced within 24 hours. (great response time). We should have stayed longer as this place has everything that you need. There is a wonderful tiny pub about 3 minutes drive away that does great food (The Globe Inn is open most evenings). The location suited us as we were doing some ancestry research in and around the area between Penrith and Carlisle.
Alison is a great host; warm, welcoming and very helpful. The room was warm and clean, the bed was comfortable and it was quiet at night.
There were a number of breakfast options, and the food was of a good quality and well cooked.
The location is excellent, with a private parking area at the rear of the property. I could walk into the town centre in a few minutes and it was ideally suited to visit Potfest.
The accommodation is very good value for the prices, and No 3 will be my first choice on future visits to Penrith.
The friendliest and most accomodating guesthouse I've ever been to. Lots of little things make this place a special place to stay, very thoughtful and kind hosts consistently went above and beyond to make sure we had an excellent experience. We stayed here as part of the Coast to Coast cycle. An amazing place to relax and rest after a full days activity.100% would recommend to any couple looking for a lovely overnight stay!
The Lounge is a boutique small hotel and restaurant and bar in the middle of Penrith. I have stayed plenty of times. I like it because it’s friendly, the rooms are really good value and the included breakfast is awesome and I can park for free at the back. It’s clean, the rooms have all you need. Unless your looking for a luxury stay this is perfect for a couple to explore Penrith or as a stop off.
Karen and Alison along with wee Bunty the dog have a fantastic guest house.Clean and tidy, smashing breakfast made to order.En suite bedroom with comfy bed, shower and a TV that works not like other places I've stayed in.Wee treats next to coffee, tea, hot chocolate tray which was nice.Ladies are really friendly and in all would like to stay there again anytime I'm up in Cumbria area.Thank you both.
The staff are very friendly and the hotel is very central in Penrith. The room was clean and refurbished to a good standard. Very comfy bed! The bathroom was very well appointed and the bedroom fabrics good. Lots of choice at breakfast. We stayed on a Sunday and there were plenty of places open to eat and drink in the town.

Great clean hotel and rooms and good location in the middle of penrith. Breakfast is great and very filling if going for the Full english.
Can recommend the pub opposite the hotel, thought we would pop in for a quick drink and ended up drinking with the locals for 4.5 hours.
Steve is a fantastic host, he was quick to answer our questions and nothing was too much trouble. His home is lovely and the room was lovely and clean, and the bed was so comfortable! Perfect stay after a days hiking in the lakes.
I will definitely be back to stay again 😊
Lovely countryside location. Stayed in the apartment which was great and well equipped. Comfy beds. Dishwasher. Smart TV etc with a charming view of sheep in the field. Superb food at the hotel. Sunday lunch was absolutely fantastic! Staff were really friendly and helpful
Used to stay here as a child with my parents went back and it was better than ever anybody who loves there food would be foolish to stay anywhere else food is leagues above other hotels in the area.
Breakfast was fine and quite substantial. Dinner had a good selection and was well cooked.
The location was a bit hard to find and a lot further from Penrith that we were expecting
Spacious immaculately clean room in lovely old house within 10 minute walk of Penrith town centre. Loved the full good quality breakfast served in the room ( table and chairs in room )
It was a very easy walk into the city of Penrith and the room had 2 beds and a microwave and mini fridge. It was the perfect size for 1 person but I think 2 people would be tight.
