Nice hamper with few bits welcome.
Would have welcomed knowing there was no cooker, only microwave
Bookin.com did not reply to message sent week before departure about how to access the place so I had to ring the hosts.

Excellent stay.
Excellent stay. We have a dog and the hotel is very dog friendly. There is a big garden for them to run in and we were able to take him into the bar when we went for our evening meal. The staff are very friendly and efficient. The food is beautiful. The room was clean and spacious. Everything you need for an overnight stay, it’s just a shame we were only there one night.

The room itself was functional, but the wardrobe door didn’t open so we hung our clothes on the outside - wasn’t a major issue as it was only 1 night’s stay.
We decided to pay the extra £7.99 each for breakfast, but having then eaten in the restaurant, that evening before we went out, decided to cancel the breakfast!
Very little GF options except for steaks/gammon, so I had the gammon, although I really only wanted something light. It was quite greasy and mediocre.
They only had a very limited wine selection available - presume that was a supplier issue as plenty on the menu, just not available!
All in all we’d potentially stay a night again, as it’s close to our relatives, but just as somewhere to rest and not eat.

Breakfast buffet style was great with plenty of choice and well stocked, self-service tea/coffee available. Early start at 7am breakfast for working visitors until 10am for those relaxing on holiday. Dinners were good with prompt service and attentive staff. Room was spacious and quiet except for self-closing room doors which shut sharply at last second and noisily.

We had intended to eat in the hotel but after my wife was so upset the first night (she walked out of the restaurant in disgust).
we found several places to eat within 5-6 miles having to drive out each night (in monsoon conditions) and unable to enjoy a bottle of wine with dinner spoilt the break.
Bed was comfortable and the room was fairly clean and tidy. Staff were very friendly and the bar manager exceptionally helpful when our meal was late. Easy access to the hotel and plenty of parking. Check in was easy. Lots of seating indoors and outside. They had a band playing the first night which was really good. Plenty of options for food and the breakfast was a good selection of Continental from pastries to yoghurt and fruit and toast and spreads. You could also have the usual fry ups etc from the menu.
Very good value. We were expecting to hear the road, but the bedrooms were at the back of the hotel and very quiet. We had a lovely view of the garden and countryside beyond and enjoyed watching the wild rabbits the next morning. The breakfast was very good and freshly cooked. We also had a table for an evening meal which again was well cooked and reasonably priced. Staff were extremely friendly.
We were very impressed with this hotel. Staff were lovely, check in and out extremely easy. Room very nice the only thing we would say is it would have been nice if the electric towel rail had been on in the bathroom. Dinner and breakfast excellent and very good value for our money. We would definitely stay again.
Great location for our needs. Room was clean and comfortable. The hotel is pet friendly which a bonus for us. The staff are all very pleasant and helpful. Food choice was good. Overall very good and we will use this hotel again.
Staff very helpful and friendly - mix up with evening meal very quickly sorted with immediate apology from Senior Staff. Food standard very good and for a change in this hotel breakfast hot and freshly cooked.
The hotel itself was perfect for what we needed. Location, rooms were good, comfortable, clean and the staff friendly around the hotel and at breakfast could not have been more helpful...
Breakfast was not included, we had to pay extra for it. We loved the view from our window onto the grassy area at the back of the hotel. We liked the heated towel rails and the bath.
I picked this hotel for the location as we were onwards towards Bovington. There is an ample car park outside. Honestly, there isn't much more I can say for this hotel.
Breakfast was excellent. As much as you can eat.
Family joined in evening and had a meal outside in the garden. Perfect as hotel is very dog friendly too.
