Nice hamper with few bits welcome.
Would have welcomed knowing there was no cooker, only microwave
Bookin.com did not reply to message sent week before departure about how to access the place so I had to ring the hosts.

We stay here often and book a room at the back of the hotel away from the road noise. The view of the stream and the swans if beautiful. The situation is ideal for us to visit friends and shops in Bournemouth. We like the restaurant - it is lovely and not over-priced. We like to enjoy wine outside overlooking the countryside - and the swans.
There is plenty of free (and secure) parking.

Excellent stay.
Excellent stay. We have a dog and the hotel is very dog friendly. There is a big garden for them to run in and we were able to take him into the bar when we went for our evening meal. The staff are very friendly and efficient. The food is beautiful. The room was clean and spacious. Everything you need for an overnight stay, it’s just a shame we were only there one night.

The room itself was functional, but the wardrobe door didn’t open so we hung our clothes on the outside - wasn’t a major issue as it was only 1 night’s stay.
We decided to pay the extra £7.99 each for breakfast, but having then eaten in the restaurant, that evening before we went out, decided to cancel the breakfast!
Very little GF options except for steaks/gammon, so I had the gammon, although I really only wanted something light. It was quite greasy and mediocre.
They only had a very limited wine selection available - presume that was a supplier issue as plenty on the menu, just not available!
All in all we’d potentially stay a night again, as it’s close to our relatives, but just as somewhere to rest and not eat.

Breakfast buffet style was great with plenty of choice and well stocked, self-service tea/coffee available. Early start at 7am breakfast for working visitors until 10am for those relaxing on holiday. Dinners were good with prompt service and attentive staff. Room was spacious and quiet except for self-closing room doors which shut sharply at last second and noisily.

The staff and facilities were lovely again, Iv stayed before and returned due to my previous stay, good value for money and discount for the restaurant as a hotel guest, breakfast very enjoyable and the lady on both mornings was brill. Will definitely be using again ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Eric the receptionist and breakfast server went beyond the call of duty and care despite working a 48 hour shift; he is an excellent ambassador for Greene King and ALTHOUGH i'VE STAYED AT sT lEONARDS HOTEL MANY TIMES OVER THE YEARS, THE QUALITY OF FOOD AND THE EXPERIENCE PLUMMETED IN TERMS OF QUALITY!! After my experince on 17th June 2022 and the reception by Eric I will most definitely return.

There has certainly been a change in standards since we were last at St Leonards. The staff were doing the best they can but our room was only cleaned once in a week and we had to ask for clean towels! The manager compensated us with money off our meal and a £15 voucher but several things were off the menu and the hotel was looking very tired and grubby.
The convenience of the pub made it easy to relax after a day touring the area. The hotel was comfortable but admittedly the decor was beginning to look tired, the staff were helpful and polite at all times overall a pleasant stay.
Staff very helpful and friendly - mix up with evening meal very quickly sorted with immediate apology from Senior Staff. Food standard very good and for a change in this hotel breakfast hot and freshly cooked.
Breakfast was not included, we had to pay extra for it. We loved the view from our window onto the grassy area at the back of the hotel. We liked the heated towel rails and the bath.
The general appearance of the hotel was pleasing to the eye and felt homely. All the staff were friendly and helpful. We particularly liked the ambiance of the bar/restaurant.
Friendly comfortable hotel, just looking a bit tired in places. Also a mirror over the dressing table and hairdryer with a longer flex would have been nice
Staff were lovely and atmosphere throughout hotel and restaurant was very good. generally a good standard of hotel which gave me a good overnight stay.
