We didn't get to stay in the facilities as they are impossible to find. The booking .com postcode takes you to a massive complex of sports halls with no one around to help you, no clear sign for the accommodation. Called the reception who gave us a postcode that took us to a random village, not the entrance to the hotel, was totally unhelpful!!

We didn't see much of Telford as we were attending a UW conference. What we did notice driving around Telford to get where we were going was how clean it was. We will definitely be coming back to visit Telford itself later in the year.

Would thoroughy recommend the liquor room for cocktails and miller and carter for evening meal. Don’t stay at Mercure Telford City hotel though ….. have done so twice now with bad experience both times.

We came to attend an angling championship.
We came to attend an angling championship. The weather was exceptionally wet. Roads were closed and Ironbridge was flooded. We attended the competition and went home as soon as we could. We did revisit the Grazing Cow restaurant for our second evening meal. The food was good and a good atmosphere.

Birthplace of the industrial revolution, there are plenty of historical ruins and artifacts to see. Ironbridge is amazing considering when it was built. Multi museum pass is best value if you are staying for a couple of days. There are plenty of small villages to explore but be prepared for the narrow farm tracks if venturing off the main A roads.
Taxi’s are available in and around Telford but if you are travelling to a rural location such as Neenton (the Pheasant) you will need to contact a taxi firm such as 1st Choice Taxi’s in advance to make a firm booking. Uber services don’t Appear to be available once you are a few miles from Telford itself and mobile data is not always available.

Brilliant location with so many great attractions!
Brilliant location with so many great attractions! Town park is fantastic and all free! We also visited the exotic zoo which was lovely too! So much to do in the area, we will return again and stay longer next time to fit more in!
If you have a car the property is in a great location, not too far from Telford center, and it has on site parking which is really good. The beds were comfortable and the area was quieter than I was expecting which was nice. I was in Telford for a comic con and having this house as a relaxed comfortable base was great. I will consider staying here again. As it is a house it was so much better for relaxation and gave me the option to cook myself a meal if I didn't fancy a takeaway or restaurant meal. Something I couldn't do in a hotel.
Sharon the Night Receptionist was excellent! Our taxi GO CARS left us stranded at Western Park late at night and she arranged for the Manager to pick us up, she was lovely so kind and helpful, she also was working the next day on breakfast service and was so positive, didnt complain - maintained a real professional positive front for the hotel, I think she should be recognized for this and for going above and beyond. Thank you to Sharon and the night Manager. We are so grateful. Lovely breakfast too and nothing too much trouble
The staff was super friendly. The room was nice, clean, comfy. We loved our stay there. The breakfast was delicious. The price of the breakfast, especially for the kids, was very good value and gave us a good start of the day every morning. The kids also liked the small playground. There are a lot of great places to visit in the area (Ironbridge, Coalport Museum, dino world...). We stayed for 3 nights and we're planning to come back. Our daughter said "if you're going to rate the hotel, give them 100%"
The room was perfectly spacious for one and well-furnished, with a comfortable bed. The setting of the property is reasonably quiet, and the room was well away from the bar, so it had a peaceful feel to it. Appreciated the fact that it was also a CAMERA listed establishment. It was easy to drive from there to the Wrekin or to Ironbridge, both areas worth exploring. The food was excellent, as was the service. I linked up with family whilst there, and we all enjoyed our meal.
The hotel is showing its age but our room was large, clean and comfortable. The town of Shifnal was within easy walking distance but the hotel area was very quiet. Breakfast was excellent and the staff were friendly and helpful. Some of the reviews I read were a bit negative but I would suggest that if you want something with a bit of character I would book here; if you want something soulless stick to Premier Inn
Met 2 members of staff at the front desk. Both wonderful - friendly and helpful.
Excellent location for Wales Comicon : Telford Takeover, at Telford International Centre - a little further away than the 2 hotels right next to TIC, but definitely within an easy walking distance.
Bath + shower facilities, and decent sized T.V. (big enough to watch from bed)
This is our second time at this hotel, and it has been great both times. It is extremely close to the Telford Central train station, making it ideal for arriving/leaving by train. Also close to a mall/shopping area with quite a few restaurants/fast food places, so finding a quick/easy meal is simple.
Stayed here for 1 night stop over meet friend for shopping in Telford Central. Location was handy and value for money. Room was clean as was the communal areas. Restaurant on 3rd floor for snacks and drinks. Free parking. Staff friendly and helpful.
Overall pleasant stay, suited our needs. Nice spaced house and ideal location for our needs. Plenty to do in the local area. Good little bits available in the house like toilet paper, towels, washing up liquid etc very useful. Good size garden and rooms.
The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The hotel is very central to everything you would need including a wonderful park which is located right at the back of the hotel. The town centre is just a short walk through the park.
Location was perfect lots to see and do near to RAF Cosford the Ironbridge museums Coalport and lovely little pubs along the river severn.Near to Telford and Shrewsbury only a few miles away. The cottage was charming.
Modern hotel and facilities... great location, great parking facility and restaurant on site, used as central to my business meetings in and around Telford area, very safe, very comfortable and great value for money
