Our host Sorrel and her family were lovely really welcoming and friendly. Thank you so much.
The property was excellent extremely clean, was stocked with everything you would need and want. Shower was great bed very comfy. Decoration was fresh and calming. We relaxed here before and after work. The views and the garden are stunning. I wish we could have stayed longer we will both be coming back with our partners for a calming break. if you need some calm, and rejuvenation in some glorious nature. Book some time away from the daily rush at treetops. You’ll want to go back for more🥰

I know the town well, and covid and the advent of Tesco and other supermarkets are in danger of killing off the centre. At 11.30 on a Friday evening on a Bank Holiday weekend there wasn't a soul in sight . We were visiting friends in the area but I don't think I'd choose it as a base for a holiday

Great views but can be difficult to get to - would need to walk a lot. Very peaceful, quiet and private. Local village with one shop. Have to travel further to city centre for other stuff. Fresh local eggs and milk for sale.

The lovely hills, trees and rural ness. It’s a farming community with the charming little railway. The Royal Oak in the centre of Welshpool has lovely food and a relaxed atmosphere.
Montgomery Castle is a wonderful place to visit with great views across to the Shropshire hills. We also visited Powis Castle which is wonderful with a fantastic garden.

Small market town , lovely walk along the canal , also a small museum there. Close to Powys castle and gardens , well worth a visit I was a bit disappointed that we were unable to get on the Llanfair railway in Welshpool ….apparentley opening back up in August
We loved the total peace and quiet, the property is set in beautiful countryside with stunning views, yet is still close to Welshpool. Accommodation is spacious, spotlessly clean and of a particularly high standard. We arrived on a cold evening with snow on the ground but the property was lovely and warm, the host having turned the central heating on earlier in the day. Host called to check all was well shortly after we arrived and left a surprise welcome pack for us. We were very impressed and we plan to return for a further stay next summer.
After reading the history of the hall we were aware that it was still being renovated and despite this we were intrigued to stay there and were not disappointed. The hotel was a pleasantly quirky building sitting in its own grounds with plenty of history and full of character. Our apartment, bedroom and bathroom were very spacious, the bed very comfortable and the satin sheets were a nice touch. The proprietor, Ben, was really obliging and helpful - we look forward to revisiting the hotel and to see his vision for it come to fruition.
A delightful little cabin beautifully fitted out by Michele and Tim. We were very comfortable and found it an excellent location for what we wanted to do especially Powys castle which is just round the corner. We arranged for a continental breakfast on each of the mornings of our stay which were delicious. Just go and chill and enjoy the lovely countryside and in May watch the young lambs jumping and playing in the adjoining fields. We loved it and if in the area will certainly be back.
Excellent service from this family run accommodation a mile or two outside of Welshpool in beautiful countryside.
For the price, it was excellent value with a very substantial breakfast. We were made to feel extremely welcome and enjoyed our one night there.
The views were fantastic of natures best countryside, particularly as it was a nice sunny afternoon when we arrived.
Highly recommended if you can live with the few shortcomings. We would certainly go back if visiting that area.
Location was excellent and nestled at the top of one of the local hills. A roughly mile walk to the bottom and a great pub for food and drinks.
Made to feel really welcome throughout. Great that we could have our dogs with us. The room was very large and the bed was incredibly comfortable.
Would recommend to anybody after a short break in Welshpool that want to explore
Once the renovations are finalised this place will be an exceptional small gathering location
Everything about this stay was fantastic, the room and facilities were excellent as was the food , breakfast which was included in my stay was exceptional. I have nothing but praise for the staff and their customer service approach from the top down. Absolutely everyone went above and beyond. Welsh Government rules were applied and adhered too and I felt extremely safe in the hotel at all times.
Lovely old cottage, nice big open kitchen/dining. Fab big garden with loads to explore, great views. Good to have the decked area to sit out.
Set on tiny lane, needs own transport. Nearest pubs/food 12-15 mins. Walks from the door in amazing hills, easy drives to local attractions. Welshpool c. 25-30 mins is nearest large town.
We had a really beautiful room, lovely decor and well appointed!
A charming hotel, retaining period features but modernised in a really tasteful way.
A great location to access most areas of Wales and a visit to Powis Castle is a must. Helpful, friendly staff and a nice restaurant.
Excellent room which had a lot of facilities and was very comfortable. It was also very well cleaned. The staff were all very friendly particularly the restaurant staff. The food we had in the restaurant was very well cooked. The choice on the breakfast menu was excellent
Good central location for touring the area, good access to Welshpool, Oswestry, Bala, Shrewsbury and the borders. Warm and comfortable base for the week. All that you need for a successful self catering break was provided at the cottage and the hosts were very kind.
The location was beautiful surrounded by pretty landscape and sheep wandering about. It was winter so it was a little chilly but it was like going back in time staying in a grand house. Just one mile from Welshpool but a world away!
The Breakfast was excellent and set me up for the day ahead. The location of the hotel was great, central for all amenities. Everything we needed was on the doorstep.
