The hut had everything we needed and due to it being a compact place, all within easy reach! We knocked the door to speak to the host to gain access and he was very helpful and quick to show us the key lock box and provide the code. This may have already been provided to us but I couldn't find it on any of the emails I received and we did book it quite last minute. The hut had plenty of tea, coffee and fresh milk. There was also complimentary cookies which were a nice touch. I tried to use the nespresso machine but it was not playing ball with the pods so I gave up. I'm sure if we had of asked the hosts then they would have helped us out though. The hut was cosy with smart storage solutions and the hosts had clearly thought of everything! There was a mirror under the sink which helped me get ready in the morning and there was also plenty of toiletries and bits in the kitchen such as kitchen roll and tin foil etc should we have needed anything. The fire place was a nice addition, we were going to use it but stayed on a warm evening so did not need to. I expect it would make the stay extra cosy though on winter nights. There was a little leaflet with suggestions on places to eat out etc which was also very helpful for our stay. Also had a good smart TV, enabling us to log on to our prime and Netflix accounts. We would stay again if in the local area.

The rural setting close to the Cheddar Gorge. The accommodation adjacent to the 17th Century in a converted farm building was ideal. The aspect facing south west gives a sunny position for most of the afternoon and evening. nice walking down School Lane onto land managed by the Forestry Commission. good weather over the weekend accompanied by nice meals and a good wine list
