I was in Chania for 4 days and it wasn’t enough for me.
I was in Chania for 4 days and it wasn’t enough for me. I’d recommend At least 5. The medieval town is breathtaking, you can walk through time travel on cobblestone streets that narrow and get a half liter of wine for 5 euros each and have dinner made my locals family for 5 euro. I ate a gourmet dinner on the boardwalk with a carafe of wine dinner for 2 only 65 euros and it was the most amazing food I have ate in my life. I highly recommend.AAnonymous - 10Scored 10

Stunning place, wonderful people and delicious food. Nea Chora beach is fantastic and there are many restaurants and cafés to choose from. I love to go before and after the high season. Easy to rent a car and drive around, the driving experience was fantastic, good roads and signals. People drive sensibly and there is free parking all over the island with no tolls at all.

We loved the Venetian port and the Old Town. One of our favourite places was a restaurant called Paradisiaco in the upper part of the port on Theotokopoulou Street. It is a very interesting neighbourhood. A beautiful art shop with a friendly owner is in the same area. Another good restaurant is Maridaki in Maridaki Steet.ggoandpandaSpain

We had a two bedroom suite which was just the right size for our group of four. The location of the hotel is right in the heart of the old town. The best restaurants, shops, cafes and pubs are all within walking distance. We also greatly enjoyed the rooftop breakfasts each morning which overlook the harbor and the old town. it was a wonderful four day visit. Complimentary raki, more than I could get through on my own 😅. Tea and coffee and some sweets in the room and a magnificent large breakfast, and still one of the cheapest available rooms! I'll definitely be recommending this place (I already have 😁)

Everything was in walking distance and we loved how quiet it was in the mornings. Its a nice touch to have the table outside the front door so you can sit with a drink and do some people watching :) MUST visit the Maritime Museum of Crete which is 2min away. I have never seen so many ship models in one place, exciting find. Restaurant tip: TAMAM - we ate there 3 times - very nice food.

Air conditioning was perfect, kitchen has almost everything. Location is not bad it is little bit outside the Chania town, which we think is better because in the town parking is a night mare. Make sure to rent a car for this apartment and try to get a small car not like us a sedan which was another pain for us. Parking long car is difficult in Crete.
