The hotel had great wellness facilities available to guests as part of the cost of staying; thermal pools and swimming pools. The pool buildings and gardens are beautiful. All services at the hotel were exceptionally well ordered and organised, with every detail well thought through for comfort, convenience, and practicality. While the hotel was busier on Fri/Sat/Sun, it didn't feel too much (at this time of year)... although I expect it gets very busy during high season and holidays.
The evening meal buffet was hearty, healthy, and tasty. The range of choices was good. Breakfasts are fine, with everything you need, except proper tea! (Bring your own with you to avoid a shock). Lots of Hungarian food, some Italian, plenty of salads, fruits, cheese, cold cuts etc...
I didn't have any wine, but the bar and restaurant sell a vast selection, including lots of local varieties.
While English did not seem to be widely spoken at the hotel, reception staff were fluent, signage included English, and otherwise, it was easy enough to manage. Staff were very helpful, and you can muddle through most situations.
The room I stayed in was very clean, comfortable, and a good size. I believe my room was upgraded, and I was grateful for that, and the birthday gift left for me was a kind gesture.
Included were towling robes and plenty of towels for use in the pools. The hotel is not stingy with all the extras that make everything easy. There is also a good-sized clothes drying rack on the balcony, which I used all the time after being in and out of the pools.
The thermal lake is a 10/15 minute easy stroll away. This is a wonderful experience.

The city is pleasant for everyone who wants thermal pleasures, peace and relaxation. Heviz is also a very clean city. The thermal lake, churches are also worth a visit... My personal opinion is that most of the restaurants are lower middle class. We ate at Magyar csarda, where the quality of the food was appropriate for the price. A bit disturbing is the overabundance of Thai massages.

Heviz is a quaint small town imbued with a serene wellness ambiance, offering visitors the perfect opportunity to unwind and immerse themselves in relaxation. One can leisurely stroll through the nearby park, soaking in the natural beauty, before indulging in a soothing dip in the rejuvenating thermal pools. While my time was primarily spent within the confines of the hotel, venturing out for a leisurely walk provided a refreshing addition to my wellness weekend.

Relatively quiet town (I visited in mid-January) with lots of green areas. From all the languages I speak (EN, DE, SI, HR, FR, RU) in the end Russian and German were the most usefull when interacting with the shopkeepers and waiters.
The lake / spa is really quite unique- there are not many places where you can freely swim around a lake in the middle of winter (-4C outside T). Fair warning though- the thermal water has a quite pungent scent 🙂.
Very nice room. The building is very close to the town center and to the lake (approx. 10 mins by walk to the lake). The hotel (which the building is connected to) is very nice, with a large swimming pool and a sauna, with a lot of other "wellness activities" (which we didn't use though). Be prepared for a lot of seniors, as the hotel is apparently aimed at them. For that reason, though, it is very calm. A small general store is right opposite the street (at least in 2024), it closes at 22:00 -- very convenient.
Warm welcome and helpful host, she tell us everything what we need to know about the place, restaurants and spa. Apartment is located in the quit part of the city, about 15 min by walk from the spa lake. Apartment is large with share balcony, but you have your own space for use it. Parking is in the inner yards behind the host house. Host also borrow to us the "noodles" for swimming in the lake, so you can't buy it. Great service, we absolutely come back...
Fantastic location, couldn’t be better, right in the centre, there was even a weekend market outside the hotel and less than 5 mins walk to the thermal lake. Great that it’s adults only too. Hotel is really nice with great spa and sauna facilities. Breakfast and dinner is nice too although breakfast could be replenished a bit more towards the end of service (nothing was replenished from around 9.30am so was a bit sad if arriving at this time for breakfast).
The rooms are very clean and nice. Beds are comfortable. The food was phenomenal, everyone can find something they like. The staff is polite and accommodating. Lake tickets for both days were included in the hotel price. Parking is in the garage across the street, so car is in safe place the whole time. In spa are three saunas, salt room and steam bath.
Mister Bastian Purtak is the best person in Hungary who we met. The place which he manage is excellent. He is so kind helpful. The place is so clean and quiet. Perfect place for relax. Thank you mister Purtak. Was pleasure to meet you. We wish all the best!
The hotel was very nice and the staff super friendly. The SPA facilities were well-maintained. The room was spacious and we enjoyed having a balcony. The food options were excellent. The hotel is close to lake Balaton, which was great for a day trip.
Nice, fully equipped room. Comfy bed. Hotel parking is available. Heviz thermal bad is located just at 2 min walking distance. Breakfast buffet was good. Dinner buffer was satisfactory. Spa facilities are very clean and nicely maintained.
Super clean apartment, property. Veronika, the host was extremely friendly and helpful. Good location to visit the Hévíz Thermal Lake Baths as well as to take short trips to nearby other famous thermal spas Zalakaros and Kehida-Kustány.
Everything was fine, good location, peace, environment, a lot of greenery...
Very close to the lake and the city center.
A lot of facilities, swiming pools, spa..
the food is varied and fantastic, for everyone's taste.
Hotel is very nice. Location is great with good parking spot. The city center and Heviz lake is very close. Room is clean and in good condition. Breakfast and dinner was delicious. Pool is good, sauna was better.
We like everything ,perfect location, close to the lake, centre, shops. Apartment very clean and warm, comfortable bad, kitchen has all equipment. We're enjoyed our time in Heviz ,highly recommended.
Spacious rooms with quite big terrace, kitchen well equipped. All nice and clean. Best location as you are in the middle of Heviz next to the thermal lake. We will definitelly come back😉
The owners were very friendly, and the accommodation was kept clean. We also liked the location not too far from a good restaurant, town centre and spa.
