Loved the quaint little town and the shops, restaurants and pubs available to us. Also, the grocery store was very well stocked and the SPAR there had laundry facilities that we so badly needed to use.

Plenty of excellent restaurants in Clifden from mid-price to expensive. Great coffee and snacks available at very reasonable prices. Good shopping and excellent craft/art/souvenir shops in the town. Beautiful Church with small but sincere congregation. Lovely clean town, adequate parking available.

There is so much to see. I'm a walker and we were able to access many great walks - mountain, sea and forest walks. We had a car to get to locations. Good location for exploring Connemara. Fabulous scenery. Plenty places to eat in the evenings.

A beautiful area in the National Park.

A beautiful area in the National Park. The little town centre was quite vibrant for such a remote area and lots of independent cafes and shops It was possible to do manageable walks (even for us oldies)

Cliftden was great with plenty of places to eat and drink.

Cliftden was great with plenty of places to eat and drink. There is a very well stocked supermarket in the town and the surroundings were very clean and well maintained. Getting a local taxi was a bit of a problem so we had to drive everywhere, which didn't allow us to have a drink in the town as our accommadation was about 3 miles outside the village.

Honestly I was so impressed by this place. Well proportioned and beautifully styled rooms, lovely common spaces, and ridiculously comfortable beds. Did not expect to have a stay as half as good as this while driving down the West coast, nevermind for as reasonable a price as it was. Room had extra pillows/towels already stocked if they were needed, and a Nespresso machine and well stocked box of teas/coffees. Clifden itself was a highlight of our road trip and the hotel is very well positioned to explore the town.

Quaint and clean B&B, decorated with cute cows throughout (Buttermilk theme 😀). Catriona was helpful and gracious. The Irish breakfast was absolutely delicious (probably the best we had in Ireland) and the staff went above and beyond in serving. Easy walk into town for dinner and shopping. Spent our first two nights in Ireland here and thoroughly enjoyed. Took a day trip to Inishbofin which we highly recommend. It's a ferry ride away. Thank you, Catriona for a lovely stay!

I can’t say enough good things about this property! The location is perfect in Clifden within walking distance of everything. Desmond, the host is exceptional and one of the kindest people I have met in my travels! He gave us directions to a more scenic route which we took and saw some of the best views. And the breakfast is amazing! You really can’t find a better place especially for the price. I will definitely stay there again when I’m back in Ireland. Slainte

Very friendly staff, comfortable, great location with lots to do in the vicinity... Dogs bay, Kylemore Abbey to name two. Weather wasn't great but can't blame the hotel for that :), and it didn't detract from our time in Clifden. The beds could have been better... We were in a double with single room; the single bed was small (not a camp bed) and very noisy when it sin turned over and the double was small and bouncy... But we still slept.

The location is on sky road and the view on the sea and the other peninsulas is fantastic, even through a window in the roof. One is at the far end of Europe. Yet the town of Clifden is 12 minutes away and it has plenty of pubs, and the festival in september. It is the optimal place to stay a few days to visit all Connemara Catriona has been very attentive to our needs , indications to find the house, breakfast, and very kind.

This is a little gem of a find out on the western side of Ireland. French/English speaking proprietor was charming, gave us a little history of the area and some ideas to make the best of our short visit. Both of us were wishing we could stay longer due to the comfortable accomodations and beautiful scenery. Time well spent! We will remember this place.

Firstly the location is perfect, in that the hotel is facing the sea and is a 9 mins drive from Clifden. The ambience is warm, welcoming and calm and the décor exudes taste and flair for beauty. Reception/hotel/restaurant staff are friendly and more than helpful. We had a superb few days at Ardagh House and hope to return soon too.

The location is outstanding, we had a beautiful outlook over the water. The b and b is easily accessible to the township of Clifden. The hostess Lidi is very charming and helpful. We took on so many of her recommendations for site seeing in areas less traveled. We enjoyed the breakfast with pancakes that were the best in Ireland.

Ruth and Stewart were wonderful hosts; great location five minutes from Clifden and 25 minutes from Connemara National Park. Our room (we stayed in the corner room #5; we were pleased to find out it was the U2 room) was comfortable and clean, and the breakfast was great. Highly recommend.

Excellent property near the town and looking on to the Station House hotel courtyard so we felt part of the action yet still on our own. Lovely cafe "Steam" in the courtyard as well ad other shops. Spotlessly clean and, while we didn't cook, there was everything one needed for a great stay
