The hotel is being refurbished at the minute, but by no means does it show, there were no interruptions to our stay whatsoever!! Staff are just beautiful, greeted with a friendly smile and put at ease straight away. The lady offered us help with our bags. The room we received had just been renovated, and it was amazing! This has to be tops for me. The cleanliness of the room ,top marks. The size of the room, took my breath away for what we paid, it was a twin room, and it was massive! Great views, gorgeous beer garden. Breakfast was plentiful and again the staff were so friendly,, and welcoming. It seemed nothing was a problem for them. I was with my elderly mother and they could not do enough for us!! Oh and the food was also top marks. Will definitely recommend and will stay again. Everything just flowed, easy parking just outside front door, room not far from elevator, elevator just behind reception..... had to have been the easiest, hotel access and stay I have had. Thank you Diamond Coast.

Historical village (cathedral, round tower) and a great base for exploring the area. Ross Strand beach is only a few minutes drive away. Lovely offroad walk around village (follow greenway signs) and can follow road back towards village and down to the quay. Only 10 minutes from Ballina which has big selection of shops and supermarkets if you need to stock up.

Killala is a quiet but beautiful village with easy (10 mins by car) access to Ballina which has full shopping facilities etc. Having said that the village itself has everything you need with a pub which serves great food, a small Centra supermarket, a sweet shop & a fantastic cafe (On the Way Cafe) with scones to die for! A car is a must as there are some lovely spots nearby. Kilcummin Beach (15 mins by car) is a stunning deserted beach for a long walk or a boogie board or surfing session. Enniscrone beach is 30 mins away by car & again is a stunning beach to walk or have a surf lesson on (surf boards for hire too). There are plenty of beautiful walks near Killala. Part of the Atlantic Way can be accessed from Killala village or visit the woods at Beleek Castle or further afield enjoy a short river walk
in picturesque Easky or the stunning Aughris Head cliff walk. Make sure you visit the Downpatrick sea stack - a gem. Although an hour away by car, Mountain bikers will enjoy the trails at Union Wood.
Nice place for stay for few nights when you travel. Clean and cozy room with tv, spacious shower room, not very modern, but spotless and with shower gel sets. Delicious Irish breakfast and good strong coffee was served. Really excellent place to stay in Killala. Car park was full and we had to leave the car on the street, but town is very quiet and we feel save to do it.
Beautiful little cottage. The bed was amazing, so comfortable and the heated blankets were an added bit of luxury. The shower was fab.
Very well appointed, had everything you could want or need. The position of the cottage was perfect. Just by the water and a very short walk up in to Killala where there are a few nice pubs, a shop and a cafe.
Lovely house with everything you could need provided. We weren’t arriving until early evening & the wood burner had been lit for us & turf & firefighters left, so was lovely & cosy. ideal
base as we were visiting my husband’s family & friends in the area, so know beautiful Killala & surrounds very well.
The location was perfect for sightseeing around North Mayo and close to all amenities in Killala. Beautiful sea view from living room window. The host was friendly and extremely helpful. Milk/tea/coffee etc provided on arrival. Bag of turf also provided but was unused due to fantastic weather.
There is plenty of room in the house.
Everything there you could possibly need.
There is also an Xbox, DVDs, books and games.
Peter is a lovely friendly host who provided us with plenty of information aswell as suggestions on places to visit.
We really enjoyed our stay in Churchfield Killala.
I had a great stay in the Acres. Though newly opened, everything was fine in a building full of character. The owners and staff were friendly and helpful, providing me with info. and books about the very interesting Killala area. The restaurant on site was also excellent.
