The hotel is in an excellent location, very handy for a short stroll to the beach, without being directly on the seafront. Bijoy was the perfect host, making us feel welcome on arrival and providing valuable information and advice. It's easy to see why he has so many repeat guests. There was plenty of choice for dining, with many decent restaurants and cafes very close at hand.

Kovalam is a nice beach. I had visited this place almost 40 yrs back as a kid but this time was a difference experience altogether. It is great if you are able to hire a car here and then move around. The experience from lighthouse on the lighthouse beach is something unique. The beach itself is nice and clean and you do get beds at INR 100 where you can rest and put your clothes while you take a small dip in the sea. In case you are looking for vegetarian food, the options are less but not non-existent. Overall a very nice stay.

This review for Lighthouse Beach - It is good if you enjoy a beach environment (no sandflies). Little else to do around there, but visiting the lighthouse is OK. A few good choices in restaurants. 25% more expensive (hotels and restaurants) than expected (compared to other areas in India). Tuktuk and taxis at both ends if you want to go elsewhere. Not many travel agencies around for sidetrips. Enjoyed Oceano Di Cafe Authentic Caffeine.

I planned only 5 nights in Kovalam - for me this wasn't enough. I'd been travelling and wanted chill time - Kovalam definitely provides that. There are shops, restaurants, cafes and hotels on the promenade. I didn't get the chance to try lots of cafes as the ones I started with were super. I lost my orientation whilst in the alleyways that connect the hotels to the beach - and found lots more shops and cafes I didn't know about. There are some concrete walkways (some with waterways either side) yet adequate lighting was provided and it wasn't a problem even in the evening.

Kovalam beach is nice and clean, and very tourist friendly.
Kovalam beach is nice and clean, and very tourist friendly. Depending on what place you stay, you could enjoy many things within walking distance. The food places are nice along the beach near light house beach, but mostly overpriced (it was expected though, as near to the beach and tourist area). 2-3 days are enough to spend time in there, I wished I had more time to spend at the next beach i.e. Varkala - which is way more beautiful than Kovalam.

Kovalam is paradise!
Kovalam is paradise! The quieter sister of Varkala, a labyrinth of streets with lovely restaurants right behind the beach promenade. Enough to explore for days. You can easily spend days and days and days here. ❤️❤️
This hotel has vast luscious grounds and beautiful architecture and design. The pool area is gorgeous but the lagoon and just walking around is a real treat, full of Keralan beauty. The hotel grounds are huge but there aren’t that many rooms giving a real sense of having something special for yourself. The staff make the stay special and can’t do enough for every guest. The treatments at the spa were divine. And the food, unsurprisingly, was delicious. I loved my stay here.
The room was very nice, with a nice patio outside - very cozy and quiet, with just the sounds of the jungle and evening mantra singing from the temple nearby. We had our breakfast and dinner prepared by Radish, who made everything from scratch, pure wholesome and healthy food. The best food we’ve had so far. All the staff was very welcoming and warm. The beach was a short walk away. We really enjoyed our stay and I would stay here again, for sure!
I don't even know where to start - it's probably the most amazing hotel where we've ever stayed at. The location is absolutely top: the view on the rocks and the beach nearby is fantastic, and the lighthouse beach is within close walking distance. But I think what made our stay so unforgettable was the super friendly and helpful staff - they really made us feel so home. Thanks again!
The stay was superb with an excellent view of the sea. Kovalam Lighthouse is hardly 2 mins walk and the beach is ~5 mins which is amazing as everything you’d need is nearby. The property is well maintained and clean. I’d definitely recommend this place.
Special shoutout to the host ‘Shida’ who is very kind and catered to all our needs. Thank You 🙏
We were a group of 5 friends ..
This hotel is a little piece of sanctuary tucked away down an alley☀️ it has a fab pool and surrounded by palm trees🌴
Chundu is a fabulous host and will assist to help and nothing is too much trouble. He made our holiday fab and feel that we can go back as a friend
Thankyou chundu and his wonderful team
Everything about this place was great. The breakfasts were the best food in 3 weeks traveling India. If only they served dinner. The pool was always a refreshing end to the day. Vishnu and the cooks always had a smile, ready to help in any way. The rooms were comfortable and spacious. 10 minute walk to Lighthouse Beach.
The swimming pool was a reasonable size and a good resource. The Indian breakfast was nice. The hotel was located just off the beach at the bottom of the hill so not far to walk to the main promenade. The staff were pleasnat and helpful. Our room was a good size and included a fridge. We enjoyed our stay.
This is a proper 'Indian style' hotel. I really enjoyed our stay. The vegetarian restaurant on site was very good and they tried to make the food to suit us ie. not quite as spicy as usually :). The reception team were lovely and helped us with rickshaws and taxis.
we experience problems, arguments, as soon as we arrived. we payed the first night but we change hotel on the very same day. Worse experience. First time, in years of travelling, of changing hotel because the very unwelcoming attitude of the host.
The resort is located on the beach which is a plus point. The breakfast buffet was grand and had plentiful options for veg and non veg. Bed was comfortable and room size was great along with cleanliness.
The location is near the beach. We have booked for kovalam beach Soma palmshore but later on we were accomodated in somatheeram which is 5 km away from kovalam beach. So this was a little disappointing.
It's as shown in pictures. nice ambience with pool view.
You will feel mental relaxation with an ayurvedic smell around the Resort.
