A hotel with history, delicious dishes in the restaurant, warm and clean rooms, rooms with well-equipped kitchens. It was necessary to stay for two nights and take a walk around the interesting area, where there are not as many tourists as in other places.

I would have liked to have more time to get up in the mountains and hike, visit the glacier, and explore Vestmannaeyjar islands. The property was very convenient to explore many attractions, like Skogafoss and Seljalandsfoss, and also not too far for a day trip to Vik.
Everything.
It was in a lovely location, away from the main road and very quiet. The room was spotless and the bed very comfortable. We only stayed one night, the first in Iceland, and it was a fantastic start to our holiday.
All the staff were very friendly and welcoming. We ate in the restaurant and the food was delicious. Breakfast was the best we had all our holiday, freshly made and amazing.
Can’t recommend this hotel enough, it was a great find….a little gem!
Fantastic little hotel in a historic home in the Katla Geopark—with a wonderful little museum to Anna, an Icelandic dairy maid who travelled the world and wrote books on her travels. Plus a fantastic restaurant —lobster bisque, cannelloni stuffed with whipped turnip was seriously amazing. For the more adventurous try the puffins or the horse steak! Included amazing hotpots with Mountain View’s.
Wonderful surroundings that felt like a very good representation of southern Iceland. Pure, beautiful Iceland :)
Nice breakfast and a calm cozy vibe overall. Took us about 2-3 hours to drive to Jökulsárlòn at the biggest glacier Vatnajökull and Diamond Beach from the hotel, beautiful drive as well.
Check in was easy, with our room number and names written on the white board. It was clean and spacious. The kitchen was well organized, with self-serving breakfast with generous portion already in the fridge. Each room had a basket to store food in fridge.
It exceeded any expectations we had. Very attentive staff, restaurant at the hotel with one of the best meals we had in iceland. Amazing scenery around and very interesting about the hotel and Anna. On top of that very clean rooms and comfy beds.
Off the main road but close. Surrounded by flowers elf’s, horses and nonstop views. All of the apartments have amazing views. Soaking tubs are deluxe and the restaurant is a special spot to relax after a day of adventuring with a delicious meal.
A wonderful hotel in a picturesque corner of Iceland. We stayed in an apartment - spacious, clean, comfortable. Great bed. Everything you need. Wonderful breakfasts . Friendly helpful staff. Great dinners at the hotel restaurant!
The view from the dinner room was amazing. We loved this facility. Our room was clean and very comfortable. We saw northern light around 1pm. The manager was very nice and breakfast was great. Highly recommend.
Everything was perfect. Room was nice and clean. Staff was friendly, we arrived at the hotel late, but the receptionist waited for us. It was possible to use hot tub and prepare breakfast boxes.
We found the hotel welcoming and cozy, restaurant was also very nice and we loved the food. We used the outside hot tubs and they were a wonder of relaxation with all the storm around us.
Breakfast was excellent. Maria took great care of all of our needs, including our laundry request. Location was perfect for exploring the Iceland South Coast area. Couldn’t be happier!
