Hotel L'Approdo, hotel in Anzio

Set on Anzio's seafront just 150 metres from Anzio Colonia Train Station linking with Rome, Hotel L'Approdo is a stylish building with a hydromassage pool on the sea-view terrace.

Warm welcome. Modern design. Sea view. Away from the hustle and bustle of Rome but within easy reach on the train. I stayed here 11 years ago and have been meaning to come back since then! Nino and Angela not only remembered me but were so accommodating and warm in welcoming me back. It’s a perfect spot if you want to combine sun and sand with a city break. It’s just an hour into Rome and only €3.60 on the train. Thanks to both of you.

It´s a small town, within walking distance, and everything you need is around the corner. We found the best hotel and also a bar/restaurant where we had drinks and dinner down on the beach directly on the sand.

Anzio is a quiet beach place with nice restaurants, a port , nice little shops and the historical ruins of Nero's palace at the sea. 50km from Rome it is the right place to stay if you would like to combine Rime visits and in between some beach breaks.

Anzio is a non-touristic, quiet port town.

Anzio is a non-touristic, quiet port town. Decent beaches, both free and paid. A good starting point for hydrofoil travel to Ponza Island. From here there are hydrofoils that will take you there in an hour and a half. Other places only use regular cruise ships, but they offer a four-hour journey. There are many good restaurants with local fresh fish and seafood as well as local wines. A place worth staying for shorter and longer periods.

    Pleasant surprise!

Pleasant surprise! We learnt that the beaches around Anzio are popular among people from the Rome region, so there are mostly local people. Long, very nice beach with clean water, shallow sea and fine sand.

The hotel has the best location, close to the beach and city center. The beach by the way is very good, blue flag) The owner is a very friendly woman, she upgraded our room as soon as we were travelling with a baby. The room was cosy, clean and had a spacious balcony with a sea view. The bathroom was not clean, it was brand new clean! And every day it was very well cleaned! There was very good internet.

It was absolutely amazing place to stay! I think we liked everything: - room is clean and comfortable, with air conditioning - breakfast was amazing: tasty and big choice of food options - terrace is great: with view and direct beach access - sea is also very clean and beach is not overcrowded Our point is 11 out of 10, definitely worth every euro we paid 😀. We will try to come back

The host was very kind and helpful, contacted me few hours before check-in with detailed instructions. The location is awesome - restaurants are close, the sandy beach is close, Nero's house is close. The parking is on the street and there's a plenty of it - we parked in front of the door. The room was extremely clean, well equipped, and the view from the terrace was holywood-like.

Everything was so clean and new. They really put in a lot of thought into all of the decor and amenities, making our stay so comfortable. It was also just a 6min walk from the Villa Claudia train station which made it super easy to get to Rome. There is also a market across the street for any groceries you might need. Over all such a wonderful stay, I would come here again.

The villa is situated close the sea. So nice from the owner that she offers a free ride to the villa from the train station. Also I was very glad as she offered me a bicycle to ride around as Anzio center is quite far (5km) and local buses go without schedule and not so often. The beach is very long and clean!
