Lovely hotel with rich history that's quite distinct from many of the chain hotels. Staff was very helpful and - particularly nice - there were no extra charges for bringing the dog, parking or even 2 glasses of champaign with the breakfast!

Absolutely stunning hotel, we really did not want to leave and we’ll be back for sure. Food was amazing both at dinner and for breakfast with great variety and truly remarkable dishes. Staff is very attentive and always smiling. The hotel oozes class, charm, quality and thoughtful design choices. The spa area is fantastic, we spent most of our time there. There is a steam bath, three saunas, one cold outdoor pool and a warm outdoor pool plus many relax rooms with very comfy beds. As usual in Alto Adige/South Tyrol the spa is nudist.
Our room (128) was a large suite with garden and sunbeds. Top quality and we liked the separation between the shower room and the toilet room (with bidet of course).

It is a decent base for trips in the Dolomites, but there are better. I chose it due to availability and prices.
While the city sits right on the side of the autostrada, the actual connections to it are quite far and take surprising long to get to.

The old town is wonderful - its clean its easy to get around . the walks along the banks of the 2 rivers who meet in Bessanone are tree-lined, but watch out for casual cyclists. The surrounding mountains (up to 2000m), and small villages are truly spectacular. Train and bus services seem to be excellent although it can be difficult to get reliable information on times. The Brexin Card (free from our accomodation) provides free/discounted entry to various venues and services. This card is an initiative that otther towns could well adopt to assist travellers

A small, but beautiful part of it is the old town with building from the middle ages that were very beautifully renovated. A modern library in the centre of the old town. With local wine made at Neustift / Novacella. The beautiful Dolomiten-Alps surround the city and they are a great view. The Hofburg is beautiful to visit. But also to have a wine tasting - they produce wine since 1142!!! - at the monastery.

Bressanone/Brixen is such a lovely, quiet, northern Italian town, where is surrounded by the mountains and cluttered with kindness. The general hospitalities from the hotels, restaurants and gift shops are mega great. You don't need to worry about any xenophobic attitude from the residents.
Plus, the geo-location is perfect if you would like to visit Dolomites or having any mountain climbing. The info centre is quite helpful and the paper map is explicit.
To sum up, the town will be one of the best Italian towns i have ever been :) Super recommending undoubtedly!!!!!!!!

We walked in the mountains that was my favourite. Went to town and walked in the old centro, some nice shops. We found a great kitchen store and purchased a few great things I have been looking for. We did not eat as our breakfast was very fulfilling. We found parking very easily and yes it is direct. We should have gone to the cable car Plose but no time. Also found a floral workshop but it was off hours.

This is a very easy going town away from the crowds of the big cities
If you need a quiet place to stay but have adventure on your agenda, Bressanone is the ticket! Head up to the Plose with your Brexit ticket that gives you free transportation by bus, train or cable car - then take your mountain bike up the mountain, or your family, or both!
A hidden gem is Bressanone!
Hotel and room decoration, spacious room and bathroom, comfortable bed and nice balcony. Breakfast is rich with lots of fresh fruits and pastries as well as salami, cheese and eggs. The restaurant left mixed feelings, the green ravioli were masterpiece, the burger was very tasty, while spare ribs were a dry and chewy. Rich selection of local wines including their own which was very good. Really enjoyed the stay there
The apartment was located close to the center of Bressanone and was equipped with an underground parking space and an elevator that whisked us to the apartment. It was very well equipped in the bathroom, the kitchen, the living area, etc. The bathroom was spacious with multiple towels and plenty of supplies. Everything was convenient and the host, Ascan, was gracious and welcoming.
My entire stay at this property completely exceeded my expectations. It was incredibly clean and luxurious. The location is unbeatable- walkable to town, also right across from the bus stop, and at the foot of gorgeous mountains. The staff was kind, and more than accommodating. This might be the best hotel experience I’ve ever had, and I will absolutely return again. THANK YOU!
All was very nice. But as a little minus: I didn't check how high up in the mountains the hotel is before arriving (as we don't have mountains in our country) :) you should have good tires and maybe chains (to avoid some extra situations) for bad weather at winter time
The hotel was great. We had a one bedroom apartment. There was plenty of space. We were right next to the ski lift and there are many walks in the area so the situation of the hotel was perfect. The staff were amazing and very helpful.we loved our stay here
