Charming hotel in a great location. The breakfast was excellent, there’s a really friendly, helpful lady who makes most of the food - amazing ricotta and potato cakes and lots of lovely baking. She makes exactly the sort of coffee you ask for and she was always ready to make us a second drink,

Beautiful old hilltop town with so much to see.

Beautiful old hilltop town with so much to see. There is the Rocca Castle at the top of the town well worth the visit with spectacular views. The Duomo (Cathedral) in Piazza del Duomo, beautiful ceiling paintings. Lots of old narrow streets and lovely market squares, lots of places to stop for a coffee, glass of wine, lunch. Could spend alot longer here than we did. It's very hilly but there is an amazing underground moving escalator system that you can hop on to make it easier to get up those hills! On my previous visit to Spoleto, I stayed at Hotel Clitunno which I also highly recommend.

Spoleto is one of Italy's most pictures and peaceful towns.

Spoleto is one of Italy's most pictures and peaceful towns. Very relaxed atmosphere with lots of beautiful restaurants and eateries. The old Roman structures were not crowded and easy to access on foot. Walking around Spoleto was easy and very safe both by day and night. Lots of old Roman ruins and artists works in galleries dotted around the town. A perfect break from the congestion of the big cities. Spoleto will not disappoint. Hotel Duci was in a perfect location with good parking

The view at the top of the mountain using the tramway was exquisite and seeing the bridge and fort....Loved the Duomo beautiful beyond..the old streets...not many tourists...the streets so interesting. It was easy to get around..loved the piazza below our accommodation. Our accommodations were beyond my expectation. The wrap around terrazzo was such a bonus and a special way to end our trip. The old very old church just outside added to the beauty. and the tramway a walk away, The views from our terrazzo was spectacular!.

Spoleto is a city dating back thousands of years, where monuments, fortresses and wonderful awe inspiring churches exist. A modern underground walking/moving escalators and elevators assist young and old alike to move around this wonderful ancient city. There are numerous shops, boutiques, indoor/outdoor restaurants and bars to serve the public. Most important are the friendly people of Spoleto. A must see destination for all.

A really interesting town which is very easy to navigate with underground walkways and escalators. Easy access and easy parking, we wished we could have stayed for more than one night. A lovely Duomo overlooked by hilltop castle from which there is an excellent view.

The owner, Nazarro, was very warm and welcoming and he was kind enough to organise a pilgrim meal close by for me for the evening. The property has so much character, the room was incredibly clean and the breakfast was one of the best I have had in Italy. As well as an Italian breakfast, the owner also cooked eggs from his chickens and offered local cheeses. For anyone walking the Via di Francesco, this place is perfect. There are even clothes racks to dry your washing and lots of gardens so you can relax in the sun.

We loved the pool and all the different outdoor seating areas, especially the little bar. Dinner was served on the outdoor terrace which had beautiful countryside and sunset views . The staff were exceptionally accommodating and friendly - they arranged a pescatarian meal for us and toasted us with prosecco when they found out it was our honeymoon! They were also really helpful giving us advice about visiting nearby Spoleto and helped to arrange a morning horse riding :). Would definitely stay again!

Located down in the lower part of the charming old town of Spoleto. It is near plenty of bars, restaurants and shops, which are also quite lively on a weekend. The sofa bed was extremely comfortable in the lounge area, and apartment was comfortable. The main part of the old town is a easy walk up the hill and steps into the main street, where there are more restaurants and plenty of sightseeing opportunities. To access La Rocca there is a short walk to the lift to take you to the top.

The staff is incredibly friendly and is comfortably focused on ensuring that any concern or issue is resolved. As is almost routine this time of year, there was some renovation in progress and the elevator was not working. We were notified after we booked and well before we reached the hotel. There was a WiFi issue and the staff was quick to engage in finding root cause, offering alternatives, working one to one with guests and their phones. The issue was resolved within 24 hours.

Breakfast was wonderful. All homemade bakery items. The staff were so nice and very helpful. The hotel is old so come with that expectation - very clean bright rooms though with big windows and lovely views - Only BIG negative were super hard beds and pillows- I had a sore neck and shoulder afterward. Apparently, this is more of a US thing as I have been told that Italians like very hard mattresses?

The apartment was spacious, fully equipped, and perfectly located in the the historic center of Spoleto between the Duomo and the Piazza Mercato. It is located only about 150 feet from the Piazza Mercato escalator entrance into the old city. Consequently, it is easy to park in the new town and take the escalator system to the Maerma 2.0. The hosts provided a nice assortment of baked goods for our use.

Fabio and his family are very nice and happy to give help when needed. The setting is beautiful, overlooking olive groves. There is a oil production company close by for tours and purchasing. The flat is exactly as pictured on Booking. You will have the basics to get through your stay. I suggest grocery shopping on your way as it’s a few kms to the nearest store.

Perfect things in life are rare. Marmotta turned out to be a perfect hideaway and temple for soul, heart and eye. The whole borgo is decent luxury in rooms, garden, service and even in the internal restaurant. I can only give 10, it would be worth a 15. The best accomodation in my more than 30 years of travelling through Italy. Big respect for the team there...

This is really a special place. Great care and thought has been taken in the renovation and decoration of the building. This astounding building is accompanied by a very personal welcome and hosting from Laurie and Justin. The garden with its glorious view may be one of the best places in Italy to drink a glass of wine.

Breakfast was exceptional. By far the best choice and variety of anywhere we have ever stayed. The view overlooking Spoleto from the garden and pool can only be described as magical. Liked the fact that although close to Spoleto, only a 5 minute drive, the property was tucked away so very quiet and peaceful.
