Staff were extremely pleasant and helpful.
The location is excellent, just across the street from arguably the best beach in Mauritius.
While the food choice was not over the top, the quality of food was excellent, including tuna, prawns, octopus, squids, and crab soup for dinner.

I.was really surprised and didn't expect the quality to be that great. All the staff was very friendly.and helpful. The room very spacious and clean. I celebrated my birthday.and was upgraded
on both rooms that.were booked. That was a.really.nice.and unexpected touch. Service in restaurants was amazing. Very good choice of food in the. All day dining restaurant.
The only.negative side was during check in we were not informed that we.can dine in.Sugar Beach.as well on HB. We wanted to try.one of their restaurants which was on the beach and were kicked out but later found out that we could eat in their restaurants.

The apartment was spacious, with a large balcony to relax on and a clean, sparkling shared swimming pool. Each room had its own ensuite. The sea view and sunsets were stunning from the balcony. There weren't many people staying at the apartments and there was plenty of parking available. The host was friendly and attentive.

Flic and Flac has a great beach and lots of good restaurants. It is very lively, particularly on a Saturday and Sunday. The restaurants that we enjoyed were Chutneys, Sunset Garden, Mosaic and a Thai restaurant that was a little further out in Tamarin called Ousaporn. Lovely garden settings in both Sunset Gardens and Ousaporn.
I recommend hiring a car. The Black River Gorge is stunning. The views of the gorge, waterfalls and to the bays are outstanding.

Being on the west coast of the island means that it isn't as...
Being on the west coast of the island means that it isn't as windy as the east coast or as wet i.e. rainy. The beach is sheltered by a coral reef; as are many of the beaches on Mauritius but there are also resident pods of bottlenose and spinner dolphins off of the west coast of the island.
The boat trips to swim with dolphins and also visit the island on the SW coast of Mauritius go from Flic-en-Flac beach so cost a lot less than from other parts of the island - worth visiting more than one tour operator to get the best price.
Flic-en-Flac is not too far from the airport and being about half way up it is easy to get to most parts of the island in a day to see things.
Lots of restaurants to choose from too.

There are many wonderful places to dine around Flic en Flac with restaurants to cater to everyone's tastes.
There is a big supermarket, some bars and on weekends the place is livelier with music and sega shows. (not to be missed)
The beach is clean and the lagoon is clear and safe to swim.
Sand is clean and there are Filao trees to keep you in the shade.
The water is warm throughout the day.
There is a big shopping mall 10 mins away where you have modern shops, bowling alley, clubs, food places including Mcdonalds and KFC.
The local cuisine is so good so we tried to eat local whenever possible.
We went to Grand Baie which is very nice too but we preferred the charm of Flic en Flac and Flic en Flac was more relaxing.
Nathalie was able to get to the apartment with around 90 minutes short notice after a last minute decision to get it. Apartment was ultra clean and is definitely something to go back to when in Flic en Flac with parking up front and stores 3 blocks away.
Ground floor pool was 20 steps away from the door and made for quick evening cool downs. A/C units worked perfectly to keep the Mauritius heat away. Apartment had even spices for cooking if needed. Everything worked as it should; will be back for sure to this one next time!
Flic en Flac has great snorkeling opportunities, great places to eat and amazing sunsets on the beach. The apartment is walking distance to all this, clean, modern, and newly furnished. Our kids loved the pool! We loved being able to either walk where we wanted to be, or to take the public transport across the main road. Rose and Kurt are really amazing hosts (the best I have encountered in travels by a long shot!). Overall great experience for our family and a lovely and memorable holiday.
Loved everything about this hotel. It really is a special place. The staff are amazing. Nothing is too much trouble. We stayed for 12 nights and it has to be one of the most relaxing easy places I have stayed. The breakfast is excellent as is the restaurant in the evening. The pool area is spotless and sunbeds always available The hotel is situated in a perfect position, close to the shops , restaurants and beach. Was very sad to leave this little gem.
Highly recommend Villa Osumare. Being our first time in Mauritius it was perfect for our needs - a comfortable, clean, air-conditioned room with a healthy breakfast to start the day. Flic en Flac and this Villa is great as a home base to explore the island. Friendly and welcoming, free wi-fi, short walk to beach, safe parking for our hire car. Lovely pool to dip in after a long day seeing all the little towns/beaches Google Maps took us through.
This very well appointed apartment was very close to the beach and the local restaurants.
It was very well equipped for self catering and is maintained to a very high standard.
Communication with our hosts Kurt and Rose was excellent and they really went out of their way to make us feel welcome. They gave us lots of useful tips to help make our stay very enjoyable.
If we ever return to Mauritius we would certainly stay there again.
Johanna was the owner of the apartment and she was very kind and she has such a good soul.she was Always there when we needed and wanted that we have our best vacation.it was very Clean, for ist the Most important thing when travelling with a child.it was very mordern and the beachbag was the perfect extra.thank you so much for a good time in the Island.
Ah and she was born here,so she knows everything about Mauritius.
I recently stayed at this property in Flic en Flac and had a wonderful experience. The location was perfect, being conveniently situated not too far from the bus stop and various restaurants. This made it easy for me to explore the area and enjoy local amenities. The property itself provided a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Host was an incredibly helpful and accommodating.
THIS PROPERTY IS AMAZING!!! Our host Natacha was incredible — so flexible and communicative! You truly have everything you need and more there, resulting in the perfect vacation! We kept extending because we didn’t want to leave! Thank you so much for making Mauritius even more magical for me and my friends, Natacha!
Cyclone Freddy required us to cancel our booking on the day, we were really looking forward to our stay, the reviews were excellent, the owner was very kind & understood our dilemma to exit Mauritius at short notice as all airport operations ceased the following day. We hope you all remained safe
The experience at the Hilton Resort was great! The staff is very friendly and they really care about your needs. The restaurants were very good and we enjoyed our stay very much.
When we come back to Mauritius, we are definitely looking forward to returning to this resort.
Mr. Ajit, the owner, goes over and beyond with communication. He is very attentive and responds very quickly. We’ve stayed in many properties across Mauritius and particularly in Flic en flac and we can confirm hands down that this property is exactly as advertised.
the staff is friendly and helpful, the place looks nice, even though from the street it doesn't look that nice, but the garden inside and the pool area are nice, the rooms are comfortable, but it is not hilton so be prepared for lack of marble in the bathrooms:)
View is spectacular. Beaches are long and accessible. As I imagined Mauritius.
The property offers food and drinks, you can sit next to their infinity pool and enjoy very affordable cocktails.
Staff are fantastic! Very friendly and always happy to assist.
Comfortable 2 bedroom apt with ample parking. Walking distance to the beach and all the resturants. Deepak was a wonderful host made sure we had everything we needed. Defintely will stay here again if we come back to Mauritius.
The hotel has nice garden and it is located next to the beach which is a bit rocky for swimming. Additionally the view from the room was nice. Poolside was also good and it had infinite pool atmosphere.
Good value for the money. Rooms were relatively clean and the staff were friendly. It’s just a 10 minute walk to the beach area and a short drive to local attractions and shopping.
