The renovated buildings were absolutely beautiful. We were charmed by the students who run the hotel and dining room. A really lovely and original experience

Breda is a peaceful, wonderful place where you can relax, take long walks in the nature, along the river, in the woods, on the fields. There are very good restaurants and pubs in Breda, friendly people everywhere. Nothing and nobody disturbs you ever! It is the right place to rethink your entire life and put everything in a new light! I strongly recommend Breda as a starting point for those who want to know Netherlands!

We visited close friends, so it was a holiday trip but not for sight- seeing. Breda itself has not much to offer, it is a mid-size town with a pedestrian zone in the center but no real highlights. Apart from the usual shops there are some nice restaurants and bars, but you have to know them. Compared to Amsterdam f.e. it lacks all the tourist attraction, so no canals or coffee shops. a bit plain, typical dutch.

Nice pups and restaurants.
Nice pups and restaurants. Easy shopping, good quality shops.
Rent a hotel in the centre or rent a car. No trams in the city, like Amsterdam and Rotterdam. Hotels in the city can be expensive, just because they are in the city. But not necessarily good.

It has a very small cozy city center but, depending on what you like, it has enough entertainment.
I took the tour in the cathedral and went up to the tower. Walked around the city center, went to the park, stond on the "Hoge Brug"... You can visit the begijnenhof and go to a couple of more museums. Also the Natural park De Biesbosch is 30km from Breda.

A well located attractive town with good access to major routes and a fabulous train station with regular connections to other towns such as Rotterdam and Utrecht. Breda has a great range of upmarket chain stores and independent shops.
This hotel is in easy walking distance of the town centre, and walking to the station when I left was easy. Arriving, it had been pouring with rain and I took a taxi, also simple. Breda is a delightful town, compact and easy to navigate around.
After I booked, they let me know that they had a downstairs booking for a party that would go on till late on my last night. So I added a night to my stay in Amsterdam. This earned them a lot of brownie points!
Beautiful, spacious apartment in a centrally located neighbourhood. The owners are warm, helpful and welcoming. The apartment has WIFI, TV, fridge, microwave and is three times the size of a typical hotel suite. The apartment is adjacent to a tranquil park with a fountain. It is a short walk or bike ride mostly through the park to the core of Breda. We would definitely stay here again.
Fred the host was very helpful with everything that we requested, from helping with operating the washer/dryer to giving us directions and tips on navigating the Netherlands for the first time. He responded to our messages in a timely manner and always had a smile on his face to greet us. I hope to stay here again in the next year or so.
Great little hotel. Cindy is a great host and very helpful. Slept well, even though it was King's day celebration all around. Beware stairs if you have mobility issues but it's an old building so can't be helped. Great position in the centre of town. Highly recommend 😊
We loved the location very close of the best of Breda: the woods, the cosy part of the city and
great restaurants.
The stylish, warm interior made us feel at home at once. But the quality of the hosting by the owners made all the difference.
We will be back.
The silence and the view, the confort of the beds, A very good rest and sleep. The posisitive attitude of the ladyes from reception. Every time I need to go to Breda, we shall booking room at Apollo Hotel!
The hosts are exceptionally friendly, warm and helpful. Beds are comfortable, rooms spacious and the central location is perfect. Easy 5-8 min walk to the station and right in the centrum.
A truly impressive conversion of a historical convent into a plush hotel.
Stylish, clean and quiet.
Loved the history information card.
Great location for exploring Breda.
The location was close to the town, which was perfect as we didn’t have a car or bike. The room was spacious. The hotel is very quaint and the breakfast was very good
Great training hotel in the heart of Breda, sat in the old army barracks, which is gated. Great experience! Very good, helpful and friendly staff! Highly recommend.
I used to book Novotel hotels due to their very convenience rooms for families and family friendly atmosphere.
As usual, as expected. We had a very pleasant stay
Large (for the Netherlands) studio. Modern furniture. Very clean.
Huge comfortable bed. Kitchen with everything you need.
Maarten is responsive and kind host.
