Molde is at the western coast of Norway. There is plenty of rainy weather, but when the sun shines, there is hardly a better place to visit. The stunning beauty of the mountains across the fiord is absolutely magnificent.
There are nice hotels, but the prices are quite high to be a city of the size of less than 30K citizens. Maybe the cost-level reflects the history of tourism when the royal families from different nations of Europe frequented this part of Norway.
You will find friendly staff at all places, but you could also pop into those who might take you as a visitor for granted. Maybe if you smile, you could get somebody smiling back to you.

A beautiful city in Norway.
A beautiful city in Norway. We drove around all the small towns and did the 'James Bond' spectacular Atlantic Road drive. It was worth driving from Bergen and taking magnificent pictures along the way.

I made use of the local bus services to view the local countryside and visit Kristiansund(disappointing,in my opinion),Bud,a fishing village with a very impressive coastal fort and historical museum dealing with Word War ll and the Atlantic Road, linking the islets between Bud and Kristiansund.
Molde itself is an extremely pleasant little town, visited by cruise liners and ferries linking the fjord transport system.Great local football team with a stadium at the side of the main street and a couple of minutes from the hotel! No disturbance on match night I was there.
All shops seem to be closed all day Sunday, including coffee shops.

The hotel was very close to the harbor and city center.
The hotel was very close to the harbor and city center. At the time of my visit, the Aida was there, so the city center was overrun... Relatively small town but very chic, like everything in Norway. Shopping and eating pose no problems, everything was withing walking distance.

This is a small town and mostly a cruise ship port and/or a base for day trip to the Atlantic highway and other adventures in the region. The Verden view point is the main attraction within town per se.
-really cute cottage with a lot of beautiful details
-adam is very welcoming, helpful, friendly & and you can notice how important the guest is to him
-you definitely need to enjoy the very delicious breakfast, i had a vegeterian option & you get a lot for the price. its worth it! i had more than enough. the restaurant is so cute & adam serving with a lot of passion & love for details :) i felt like queen :)
-recommend this place !!!
A welcoming lovely private home and very kind hosts who can speak English.
Very quiet place and neighbourhood by the city centre. Cheap prices for Norway.
Everything was clean and well maintained.
Fantastic views over the fjord and mountains.
Lots of green gardens and nature around.
Supermarkets 5 minutes away.
And much more for those who have the time to explore the city and the region.
I definitely recommend this place.
Supreme hospitality by Adam who is really helpful and welcoming. The dinner and breakfast options at the place are exceptional and recommended, served in the beautiful dining room with a smile and extra thought. Adam was great in accommodating dietary restrictions and other needs without sacrificing quality. The cabin was clean and well equipped with WiFi, a fridge, and dinnerware.
Fine breakfast. It is not a fancy hotel- it is a hostel. However, it is clean and within walking distance (about 20 minutes) to the town center, the people working there are very pleasant. Also convenient bus connection (approx every 30 minutes) if the weather is not conducive to walking.
Room was good size and comfortable (has all the facilities including an iron and board). Location is next to the port.
Hotel has their own restaurant downstairs, which is quite decent.
Breakfast is served in before mentioned restaurant and was very good, with a lot of options.
Being genius level 3 after many years traveling on business when spent countless nights /in hotels worldwide this one is definitely in my top 5 list.
Everything was perfect, cozy rooms, overall atmosphere, cleanliness, breakfast, staff, location .. highly recommend!
The hotel made us very welcome and put us up in a one bedroom suite with kitchen and lounge. The lounge overlooked a Fiorde - magnificant. The food in the restaraunt below the hotel was outstanding.
I used to live in Molde and I was extremely excited to finally return after a depressing 18 months of no travel. The Seilet has an amazing location and has always been a real staple of the city.
We had a worst at at this hotel. The staff was very welcoming, the views out of the window was outstanding. Room was clean and quiet. Parking was free and convenient. Highly recommend!
