EVERYTHING!!!!! Akkhaporn and his family made this THE BEST STAY we’ve had in our whole Thai/Laos trip! 🥰❤️😍 I wished we could’ve stayed longer!! Akkhaporn is a STAR and has a very very bright future and I just wish all the best to this lovely lovely family ❤️ FOOD: Had dinner and breakfast here, both made by the aunt - THE BEST curry we’ve had!! Had it in our room and have the freshest fruit (from their farm!) and cutest tea/coffee trays. Restaurant cafe always had chill music on while you’re admiring the views 👍 ROOM: Can’t get enough of it. The view is jawdropping and the area is so serene. Has a balcony that overlooks onto the town and river and mountains. It’s the biggest room we’ve ever stayed in. Western standards. Everything so tastefully decorated, curated and thought of. Felt like royalty! SURROUNDING: Soooo peaceful. Would’ve wanted to go around their farm and check out the bike path down to the river and into town. The whole hotel is wide and spacious. Very relaxing. Soooo much to offer as Akkhaporn trained as a tour guide too. 👍👍

    I liked to have riverview.

I liked to have riverview. We had two single beds that we rearranged such that they were mire close to eachother. Not perfect but ok. For one person the bed was too hard, for the other it was good. Was great to be on the (small) balcony to look at the river, but there were no seats. I used the pool, but at the time of the day the two high building on the side avoided all sunshine to warm up the water. We also had to use our own towels from the room, one per person. Checkout was fast without checking the room. Few hours after we left, we were in Chiang Rai already, staff called us that they we left behind a watch. They agreed to send it to our home in Chiang Mai. Great service that we really appreciate.

I was in town for the first annual (I hope) Chiang Khong Music Festival. The music was excellent and the roads to and from were perfect for motorcycles. Chiang Khong is a sleepy little town with just enough nightlife to keep it from being boring. It is right on the Mekong River and there is a "Friendship Bridge" border crossing to Lao (Laos) very close. If you need to decompress, this is a good place to do it. Great place to spend the night for Motorcycle enthusiasts.

Nothing much here but it's away from the waterfront at Chiang Saen and Sop Ruap with their Burmese and Chinese casinos across the river. We drove so we were able to get around to some out of the way places downriver and over to Sop Ruap so the ladies could go shopping. All in all a pleasant place to stay especially for us older farangs.

The location was in a quiet stretch of the town. All within easy walking distance for our needs. Excellent views across the Mekong river. Wonderful room and comfy bed. The hotel did cater well for our vegetarian diet requirements. Warm and friendly staff. The manager actually had spent a fair number of years in the UK, and by the looks of things : with excellent training. Wish we had more time to stay here longer but we had the boarder crossing into Laos the next morning.

Hotel owners went out of their way to help us. They upgraded us to a ground floor room due to mobility issues. They also arranged when we arrived a booking on the bus to Chiang Mai for the next day as well as tuk-tuk to bus. Room was large and clean with lovely river view. A free simple breakfast was also given. Owners also spoke really good English and suggested somewhere to eat very close by, which was excellent food.

The good reviews this place has received were absolutely correct. Very nice and helpful people and though the bungalow room was probably the smallest I have ever stayed in, it was lovely and perfect for my needs. I always bring a memory foam matrass in my car when I travel around in Thailand because of my bad back, but this time I could leave it in the car because the bed was comfortable as it was.

Room was bright, spacious and clean, with a good bed and well functioning air conditioning. Bathroom was fine, with better than usual counter space around the sink. Front desk staff were cheerful and welcoming. The adjacent 7/11 was very handy. Hotel's location could not be more central, with many places to eat nearby.

It was very clean. The owners were very friendly. They picked us up when we arrived in Chiang Khong, provided breakfast, drove us to the border the next morning and reserved tickets for the slow boat. We could use bicycles for free, but we decided to rent a motorbike for a good price.

What a great hotel after a long 2 day slow boat ride from Laos. The restaurant was excellent as was the wine. The pool was beautiful but unfortunately we left very early for the bus to Chiang Mai. Wish we would have stayed longer. Staff was great, very helpful.
