I stay at the Pod frequently during the year as it is near family. The rates have climbed now as we are getting into the prime visitor season so of course I don't like to pay such more now for a room which is more basic but clean and quiet and centrally located.

Immortalised in popular music, culturally diverse Brooklyn has achieved almost legendary status. On the western end of Long Island, across the East River from Manhattan, this huge NYC borough is so densely populated that if it were a city, it would rank as the 4th largest in the US!
The borough is joined to Manhattan by 3 bridges: Williamsburg, Manhattan and the iconic Brooklyn Bridge. It is also linked to Staten Island by the lengthy Verrazano Narrows Bridge. Ocean-going liners pass under here before docking at the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal in Red Hook. To the north-east, Brooklyn Bridge Park offers some of the best views of the Manhattan skyline, while south-east is the huge Prospect Park.
On one edge is Brooklyn Museum, the country’s 2nd largest art gallery, and just behind is the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens whose cherry trees bloom a vibrant pink. To the east are some hotels near JFK Airport, and there are more in neighbouring Queens.
At Brooklyn’s southernmost tip, Coney Island’s historic boardwalk has appeared in several films. Regeneration is underway to bring it back to its former glory, and the revamped Luna features a historic wooden rollercoaster. Also historic is the northern Greenpoint district with its elegant 19th-century houses.
Cheap Brooklyn hotels offer a good alternative to accommodation in Manhattan, so check Booking.com for the best deals.

Brooklyn is a very busy city.
Brooklyn is a very busy city. There are many options for activities and sightseeing. The traffic is very, very busy and the parking is almost impossible. If you know where you are going and what time you need to be there you must definitely factor in your commute.

Brooklyn is one of the most diverse places on Earth.
Brooklyn is one of the most diverse places on Earth. Old, new, rich, not-so-rich. Every cuisine and kind of neighborhood. Prospect Park is in great shape and safe. The new(ish) waterfront parks by the Brooklyn Bridge and Brooklyn Heights are in super condition and have great view of lower Manhattan. Walking the bridge is a really highlight. So much more reasonable than staying in Manhattan too, and just a really short subway ride to all the best lower Manhattan attractions and neighborhoods. People have a lot of crazy ideas that big cities are bad and broken in the USA. It’s just not true in Brooklyn. It’s a great place that’s better than it was 20-30 years ago.
Really polite staff at quite a suitable location in Williamsburg. Not the biggest rooms but they are clean, equipped with AC, Smart-TV and fast internet.
Walking distance to the metro, supermarket, bars and restaurants - which the hotel has discounted deals within the nearby area.
It's also easy to reach and walk over the bridge to reach the buzzy parts of the city.
Hotell also have a lounge, rental bike for free) deposit $200) and chillout areas.
I' am happy with my overall experience.
If you know to expect a basic hotel with small rooms this hotel is perfect! It’s clean, the staff are very friendly and give you water or whatever you need, it’s a great location right by Bedford Ave in W’burg, and the beds, linen etc. are super comfortable. Plus it was so cheap for 3 nights.
there’s also a coworking area and lots of outdoor spaces, and you’re on the doorstep of some very good restaurants and cafes.
Well located hotel (within close proximity of nearest metro station) with a helpful staff. Pretty much everything you need for a cheaper stay close to Manhattan. Well balanced price-to-benefit ratio (taking into consideration NY metropolitan area during September). The room had an amazing view towards Manhattan which definitely paid off!
The Liberty Brooklyn Hotel is an affordable lodging option. It is clean, offers amazing city views, and is in walking distance of many food choices. The rooms are clean, upgraded, with modern amenities. Each morning guest are provided complimentary breakfast in a spacious lounge. I would recommend this hotel as an option to anyone.
great hotel if you want to explore new york without having to pay too much. not too far from manhattan, four minute walk to the next bus station from where the bus goes to downtown brooklyn and the subway. great included breakfast, room was very comfortable and two bottles of water every day were also great
Great hotel in central location. Walking distance to DUMBO, Brooklyn Bridge, Barclays Centre, Court Street shops. Always felt safe. Great customer service and housekeeping. Also close to Jay St Subway for easy access to other parts of Brooklyn and Manhattan. Highly recommended.
The beds were comfirtable and smelled clean. The staff were courteous and efficient. Breakfast was great and the sitting area was spacious.
The hotel is within walking distance from the Brooklyn Bridge and my family and I felt safe walking alone after dark. The city is alive!
2 mins from metro - very handy for direct link to city and 15 mins walk to Brooklyn bridge - staff was very courteous and help full. Parking garages nearby if you bring your car, good coffee and bagels next door. Hotel had a cool chill vibe and perfect midday check out!
The hotel opened just over a month ago.
Rooms are pretty much new and clean.
The location is not bad - it is not Brooklyn Heights but Manhattan can be reached in 15 min. Take tube/subway/metro from local (3min away) station (Morgan Avenue) towards 14 St.
The room was clean and comfortable and the staff always friendly. The location is fantastic for exploring the rest of Brooklyn and Manhattan. The bar always had something fun going on but the rest of the hotel was quiet.
many shops in short walking distance
many restaurants in short walking distance

Clean, well-appointed room in a great location in Williamsburg. Bigger than lots of NYC hotel rooms. I liked the view over the bridge. Good little gym room in the basement which was a big plus.
This is my favorite hotel in Downtown Brooklyn. The staff are so warm and friendly, I feel at home. It is clean, very comfortable and quiet. Incredible value. What a gem in Brooklyn!
The location of the hotel was perfect for shopping, dining and subway access. I absolutely love the roof top bar!! One of the best hotels in the Brooklyn area.
