Everything! It was wonderful. I felt like I was living in a movie. I felt one with nature. I loved the pool and the jacuzzi. The two owners were great too. They were very helpful since we had booked. One of them played the guitar and sang for us, it was fun. I really enjoyed my stay. I felt relaxed and reenergised!

The place was infested with German cockroaches, and I mean infested. There is only ac in the living room, so the 2nd bedroom was so hot! When we got there all of the towels were in the dryer so we had to fold their laundry before we could even settle. The furniture is old and dirty. The bedsheets were dirty (make up smudge on sheets and hair, so we had to wash the sheets before we could get into bed.
On a positive note, the location is great, the view is amazing, and the hot water is hot.

I enjoyed my stay at Kona
I was upgraded to an oceanfront view, which was fabulous even though I didn’t eat at restaurants I prefer cooking my own meals. I had a very relaxed vacation. Wish I could’ve stayed longer, but I do want everyone to know that this place was fabulous.

We loved the island.
We loved the island. The ocean, the colorful flowers, shrubs and trees. We did an amazing all day tour to the coffee farm, the volcano national park, black sand beach, lava tube, water falls and valley. We also did an absolutely stunning tour of the Mauna Kea summit to watch the sunset, star gaze and telescope close ups of the moon, Jupiter and stars clusters. Our Manta Ray tour was cancelled due to bad sea conditions, which I appreciated very much their safety concerns over profits.
It’s a beautiful island with lots of sights to visit and things to do.

The coffee was amazing, the food was great (although the restaurants were very crowded). Public parking was hard to come by and paid parking was very expensive. Get a rental car and you are in a good central location to hike, visit the volcano, and from all the shopping and touristy things to do.
I booked this resort through Hawaiian airlines as a package deal, but for some wierd reason it came up in my booking.com account which meant I had 2 bookings and had to cancel one, the resort was very accommodating and helpful to sort it out.
This resort is awesome, a little old and dated in parts but everything you need for a great stay, the pool is massive with heaps of space for everyone, even has a slide. Staff are fantastic and extremely helpful, the rooms was large and had a great bed.
+ Hawaiian owned and operated -- staff were thoughtful and great to work with
+ Very clean
+ Comfortable bed (GREAT night's sleep!)
+ Located in the heart of Kailua-Kona, easy to walk to touristy Ali'i Drive (as in, 2 minutes), swimming beach @ Kamehameha, grocery store, ABC store, whatever you like!
+ Garden is charming
+ Windows have screens and can open, fresh air and the sound of birds!
+ Property is well maintained
+ Fair price
The location is great! It is very convenient as it is in the center of the village. The beaches are all nearby, and several are within walking distance. Also quite near is the main nightlife of the place. The hotel itself is very comfortable, and the staff is friendly. Finally, it has a super cool Luau show! Totally worthy.
The location close to all that Kailua-Kona has to offer was great. And, the view from the lanai was amazing! We saw whales breaching and sunsets everyday we were there. There was a wonderful little coffee shop about a block away - Green Flash Coffee.
Great hotel directly at the ocean, where you hear the stunning waves of the Pacific right in your bedroom.
The rooms are spacious and have a modern look and feel. Bed was comfy.
Restaurants, shops, and small beaches are close by.
Great location with walking distance of shops, restaurants, bars. The hotel restaurant/bar had great sunsets and I loved the lagoon. You can hang out with the locals at the outdoor beach volleyball court down the street.
The property is showing some age, but the location and views are top notch. This is our 2nd time staying here and would stay again primarily for those reasons. The resort has typically been a good value as well.
Super central location; comfy beds, really clean with friendly staff. We appreciated some extra help coordinating our group arrival & staff was wonderful!great restaurant choices within 3 minutes from hotel.
The entire property is a lovely retreat! Very rarely would I want to stay at a hotel instead of being out sight seeing but this is a true sanctuary! Staying here is a vacation itself.
Good location and convenient, well equipped in the room. Beautiful view of balcony for breakfast and relax. Room and hotel area are clean and beautiful, making vacation fantastic.
