Exit Glacier Lodge, hotel in Seward

Situated in Seward, Exit Glacier Lodge offers accommodation with free WiFi and TV, as well as a restaurant and a bar. A fridge and coffee machine are also available.

Staff and location. We appreciated having a kitchen and laundry available. Since it can be spendy eating out 2-3 meals a day, we cooked a store-bought frozen lasagna for dinner one night, saving us time and money.

We were on a short trip to see an art exhibit at a wonderful coffee house. We also browsed around the shops and enjoyed a great First Friday Art Walk and dinner at the Flamingo. It was a delightful weekend. Seward has much more to offer for a longer stay. The views of the mountains and the sea are stunning.

Seward is a nice small town.

Seward is a nice small town. We went during the off season. a lot of things where closed or had limited hours during our trip. We missed out on a few items we would have liked to check out but there was still plenty to do in the area. Recommend a wildlife boat tour, we had a blast and still saw a lot of wildlife so early in the year. The Alaska Sea Life Center is a must see any time.

Hotel was well situated in a retail area with many options for food, ice cream, coffee and and drinks. The views of the harbor and access to it were great and right out the back door. The complimentary breakfast was good with both hot and cold items.

Lots of construction driving to/from Seward from Anchorage, so it took way longer than we had anticipated. It was a cute town and we enjoyed our 8.5 hour glacier cruise. I would definitely take a shorter cruise. Fox Island was a great part of our cruise.

Seward is a charming waterfront town with plenty of good restaurants and things to do. We took two incredible boat tours with Kenai Ford Tours; they were fabulous. There is plenty of hiking, and the city is nestled between mountains. Seward is the kind of place you hate to leave.

Highly recommend coming to take a glacier tour, whale watch, hike or to take children to the aquatic life center. Nice, locally owned galleries and shops with friendly keepers. Easy to get around and can access local parks and walking trails with close by parking.

We stayed at Hotel Seward for two nights and due to a booking mishap which was my mistake, we stayed one night in an historic room and the other in a modern room. We, by far preferred the more modern room. It was much larger and comfortable. The historic room was okay and had a cozy rustic feel, but was a bit more smaller that we would have liked. I thought it was weird that the rooms were the same price, yes drastically different. Overall though, Hotel Seward was a decent place to stay. The staff was friendly and helpful.

The hotel was located conveniently to the port - we were there to explore Seward, which was a mix between a fishing town, tourist jumping off spot to explore the fjords, and even a few funky-hip food, art, and coffee spots to enjoy. Also enjoyed the sea life center. Other occupants seemed to be using the hotel for a nice spot to stay the night before their cruise, but it was comfortable and homey even for a longer stay of 4 nights. Room was simple, but warm, and we never got too chilly.

The place is in prime location with easy access to Seward port and Exit Glacier. It seems that hotel is managed by a family as Todd and other ladies took interest in taking care of everything. Todd explained in detail about the places to visit. He also listed down all the good places to visit. The whole family was very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean, spacious and comfortable. I would definitely recommend everybody staying here and will definitely stay in this place again!

This is a new hotel being ran by John and his wife. John was amazing at fixing our reservation mix up and provided great local recommendations on places to eat, hike, and things to do around town. New establishment with keyless entry, fully equipped kitchen, big flat screen and comfy bed and bath. Great quiet location new food and drink options, but set apart in the woods. Vert conveniently located to all things in Seward and surrounding area.

The pool makes it a great spot for kids if you’re local Alaskans and coming to Seward if the weather is poor it’s great to burn some energy off Walked the dock in the harbor and let the kids see all the boats, it’s literally the backyard They had an exceptional breakfast even though we usually like to eat local and try out cuisine it was really really well done surprised us and filled the kids up then went and got coffee

My husband and I spent one night in Seward, hiked near Whittier and took a 6-hour boat tour to Kenai Fjord National Park. This hotel was at a great location, boat left from our doorstep; hike, town and restaurants were all close. Room was comfortable and clean, staff was cordial, breakfast was basic but good. Fun, great value for the price.

Very friendly, personal and comfortable with everything you need. Close to the Marine Wildlife Center, but a bit far away (to far to walk, especially when it is raining) from the cruise terminal and for the starting point of Kenai Fjord Tours. If you have a car, the perfect place to be. :-) I can highly recommend Trailhead Lodging- Seward.

The Steller Inn is a beautiful, small place just outside of Seward. Maja, the manager, was very helpful and friendly. She even let us know when a young moose came to visit one afternoon! Our room was clean, quiet and comfortable. Exit Glacier is just up the road. We would definitely choose Steller Inn for our next trip to Seward.

Excellent location. Great view of port. Right on Main Street and access to restaurant and bar across rear of hotel. Free city shuttle stop across street. Soft pillows, thought they were down. Comfortable bed. Front desk gave us great information about shuttle. Harbor trail would have been great except for the weather.

Lovely place to stay in Barrow. Beautiful home with Inuit art. Very comfortable, clean room. Hosts very helpful and welcoming. Good breakfast. Unless you need to stay in the big hotel or the one near the airport, this is far more home-like and personal. Only about a ten-fifteen minute walk to center of town.

This hotel is located very close to the main street (Seward is not big so basically everything is within walking distance) and close to the aquarium (which is worth visiting). The room was big and clean (it's a suite, so there's a kitchen you can use as well), the staff was very accommodating and helpful.
